I ordered from their gluten free options and got terribly sick afterwards.
Only place I've found for GF Chinese and I haven't reacted yet! Even with a waitress that ignored us almost the whole time, and being terrified she wouldn't get gluten free but regular... I was good! Highly recommend it!
The Grand Rapids location was awful. Breaded meat in my fried rice was the most important complaint. They also messed up the order outside of our food restrictions in multiple ways.
Very accomodating, they can print you a menu based on your allergies and make sure to the best of their abilities that you are safe from allergens.
The menu layout is a lot of the problem, but even with the nice atmosphere and good food, you end up feeling like a 2nd class person if you need to eat gluten-free because their spartan list of gf items includes no descriptions. You have to search the whole gluten-containing menu to find the descriptions of the relatively few gf entrees. Also, it's like they don't care about you if you are gf, because although they serve bass, salmon, scallops and cod on the menu you are only allowed one seafood on the gf menu.
Great food and a lot of options.
nice menu choices. gf soy sauce and very careful with crossing.
Very careful about GF. Even change out the soy sauce.
I love PF Chang's. They go out of their way to make sure that the person who orders gluten free does not feel left out, down to the soy sauce and trio. Even has dessert. This is the only "chinese" restaurant I feel comfortable eating at, knowing that I will not get a reaction later. They have gluten free options starting from soup to dessert.
Everything I've had off the gluten-free free menu has been delicious. Takeout and dine-in are both good. just check your order before leaving. The Grand Rapids location is smaller than others I've been to and they are still relatively new (opened Nov. 2011).
The menu changes all the time. I had first gone to a, PF Changs in California and they had a huge selection of gluten free meals on very large portions. I have gone to a few local restaurants and the menu changes all the time. Usually there are now a few things on the menu that are both gluten and dairy free, but sometimes just one. I was actually told if you call a few days in advance they can "usually make something". The portions are still big, but personally, I would like a little more freedom in when I eat, without planning so far in advance for still limited choices.
The menu is new & I had the salmon special. It’s amazing
Service was fast and attentive. This was my daughter’s first experience eating out since being diagnosed with Celiac. We made sure to tell our waiter up-front when asking for the GF menu. She is usually pretty sensitive to CC, but (thankfully) she had no issues from the food we had here. It made for a very positive first dining out experience (since diagnosis). We had the GF chicken fried rice and GF Hokkien Street Noodles.
Awesome food. Many gluten free options including lettuce wraps, Chang’s spicy chicken, chicken fried rice, and kids menu items. Super good food. The staff was friendly and helpful. Gluten free soy sauce is kept separate from the normal one. One star off because of a stomach ache once. I recommend PF Chang’s because it is very good.
My husband has celiac and this is our go-to restaurant in Annapolis! They have a separate Gluten Free menu with a variety of options (our personal fave is the Chang’s Spicy Chicken). When ordering, we tell our server that we eat GF for celiac and they reassure us that they have a separate prep area in the kitchen. Our food always comes out on special plates only used for gluten free orders. The staff always seems well trained in how to accommodate all allergies, including dairy and nuts. They have gluten free soy sauce upon request. By policy they still have to bring you the fortune cookie at the end of your meal, we usually give ours to friends or leave on the table. Wonderful safe place to eat!
Have a gluten free menu with a few options and gluten free soy sauce to go on the side. Also the edamame is not gluten free
Are you here about once a month. Haven't gotten sick yet. I am very sensitive. I feel like most of the staff is knowledgeable but not quite all of them. Although they are friendly and they have a decent selection of menu items that are gf
The staff was very knowledgeable and I didn’t get sick. It was a nice experience and they had a good selection of gluten free options. It’s a very small section of the menu but it’s well organized.
Our family ate lunch here; my daughters eat GF and PF Chang always does a good job. We get the bowl of egg drop soup; it’s huge and the four of us each had two small cup-sized bowls. One daughter likes the chicken fried rice. The other tried a new dish - shrimp in a lobster sauce; it was okay. I had the ginger chicken as usual. We don’t eat at PF Chang often, and we’re looking forward to the GF chocolate dome dessert — THEY DON’T SERVE IT ANYMORE! It is an issue with the supplier. We were sad. :(
I've eaten here a number of times in the last couple of years. They've always been very careful with my food, and I've never had any problems. They serve gf food on dishes with a different pattern, so you know if it was prepared in the gf area of the kitchen. I highly recommend this restaurant for anyone with celiac!
Separate gluten free menu, not many options, but a good selection still. Gluten free fried rice was great
Ordered the egg drop soup and the chicken fried rice. Hostess asked if we needed a GF menu before seating us and our server answered my questions when directly asked but didn’t volunteer any information on their GF procedures nor could I find anything printed on the GF menu. GF dishes tested negative for gluten with my Nima. First time trying this chain but overall I wasn’t that impressed. Nice to go out and eat American Chinese food but not a lot options compared to their regular menu. The fried rice needed tamari which wasn’t brought out until sometime after my dish arrived even though I requested while ordering my meal. The server brought out fortune cookies with the bill even though he acknowledged I couldn’t eat them. Not that excited as a Celiac to break open a crumbly toxic cookie to read a fortune...
Out of all the restaurants I have been to I trust P.F Chang’s the most. They have a separate kitchen and plates. Just make sure to ask for soy sauce as the one on the table is not GF.
Used to go here often when I missed chines food. Now Very Disappointing. Only a few choices. Used to be so much better. Didn't feel well after eating supposedly gf fried rice. (Which had teeny bits of egg, a few tiny strips of carrot and 2-3 bean sprouts. For over 8 bucks! PF Chang's you can do better!!
Chicken pad Thai was great! GFO is the label on the menu for their gluten free offerings. They have 7 offerings and they are all good choices!
Gluten free menu. Very good food. Read enjoyed dinner.
I'm giving this less than 5 stars because I got sick last time. Their GF menu is awesome, the food is delicious but I suspect that a cook used the regular rather than the GF soy sauce in my Pad Thai. It would be so much safer if PF Changs would only have the GF version to avoid such mishaps. I mean, really, can you taste a difference? Is the price so prohibitive? I was SO sick for 3 days after that we have been afraid to return and it was one of our favorites...
We had no issues here. Love the GF options
No Gluten contamination, just good old fashioned food poisoning. Service was slow as the restaurant was very busy, even for a Monday night. We ordered 3 dishes, Shrimp Fried rice, a chicken dish, and a beef dish, to share. At first everything seemed good, as other experiences at PF Chang restaurant's around the country. But about 15 minutes after leaving the restaurant, both of us had SEVERE stomach complaints and spent the next few hours in and out of the bathroom. I cannot pinpoint the dish that was responsible, it may have been the food in general. This made both of us hesitant about eating at Chang's again. Not just a bad taste in your mouth, after a night in the bathroom. I did not hear about anyone else having issues, but then not everyone posts reviews afterwards. I would walk past the restaurant in search of something else next time. GOOD LUCK, and be careful.
Staff are trained in allergies and they tend to understand cross contamination. 2x here and didn’t get sick.
Eat here often, tried everything off the GF menu. I’ve tried several locations, too, and I’ve never been sick after! I do think that the Scottsdale PF Chang’s has better chicken pad Thai, tho. And what happened to the ginger chicken?!
Friendly staff! Great food! Best part I didn’t get sick.
Great food and knowledgable staff. Gluten-free menu and they cook the gluten-free food in a separate area. No reaction after the meal. Felt very safe.
AmaZing food and they rlly understood celiac. I felt very safe and didn’t get sick
Food is still good and prepared with care but they got rid of the gf deserts and staff is dumb enough to ask if I want desert after ordering gf knowing they don't have anything for me. Good thing Cold Stone and Nothing Bundt Cake are right across the parking lot.
