Told staff I could not have gluten, they couldn’t have cared less. I read a review saying they swapped the soy sauce for them, they did not for me. I ordered my food, and you get charged a dollar extra per gf item. I again told the staff I could not have gluten again when I ordered. I ate, and started having a reaction. They did not show a care in the slightest paid full price and went home disappointed.
We went as a family, our 4 kids along with me and my husband. My daughter has Celiacs. As soon as we sat down I told our server the whole meal would be gluten free and she immediately wrote it down, took the soy sauce that was currently on the table and switched it for a gluten free one. I asked if the edamame were gluten free since it wasn’t marked on the menu and she happily checked. It was but they can’t advertise it as such because it comes packaged from a different facility. We had that, chicken lettuce wraps, Mongolian beef, spicy chicken and chicken fried rice and it was all delicious. The waitress brought ice cream for the kids at the end and double checked if our celiac daughter was ok with any toppings. She experienced no symptoms. Overall a great experience!
I ordered their gluten friendly option for the beef and broccoli and fried rice. It was my understanding that they use a separate area, utensils, pots and pans, etc. but I am feeling very sick after eating there. My stomach is in a lot of pain, I am experiencing diarrhea and bloating, my joints and bones hurt, my mild headache has turned into migraine and I am just overall very uncomfortable. I'm really disappointed cause I have ordered their gluten friendly options before and never had any issues, but this time is very different and I don't know if I will ever be able to go back. I am so miserable.
We ate here last night and I got my usual Chang’s sweet and spicy chicken. It was very good. I did not have any reaction. I have been eating at P.F. Chang’s in Washington, Oregon, California, and Nevada and now Utah without any issues. I always tell them I am celiac and I have a gluten allergy. At this place they told me that they have a separate area in the kitchen where they do for free. I think that is pretty standard for all the restaurants.
I've been to numerous PF Chang restaurants, but this was the first time I've gotten sick. They had even said that they'd taken extra precautions. Was very disappointed in the results, since I was extremely sick after eating here. I had Mongolian Beef with added broccoli and fried rice.
my waitress wasn’t knowledgeable whatsoever on celiac, or even gluten free. we got multiple gluten free chicken lettuce wraps brought to our table prior to our meal, yet she failed to bring me a gluten free beef and broccoli when specified multiple times for it to be gluten free. i ended up having 2 pieces before realizing it wasn’t gluten free. i had to explain to her the repercussions, and no manager was ever informed and brought to the table. i had to call the next day to get any attention brought to the manager. i’ve eaten at the slc location before without any issues, and this location once before with no problems! but this mistake has made me never want to come back again.
Went for lunch on a Wednesday and I don’t know what happened between telling the server I was gluten intolerant to plating my meal, but I suffered a reaction before I even got home. Server highlighted the new menu, and explained how GF menu items are prepared using separate equipment. I felt confident and ordered the items labeled GF and still ended up with a bloated belly.
