Not celiac safe. I called before coming because we had a 20 minute drive here. I told them the severity of my allergy and they said, “Yes. It’s gluten FREE. You will be safe to eat here.” I started to order and the waiter told me that nothing here was gluten free. But the waiter was extremely nice.

I informed our server that I had celiac and ordered the GF pancakes. When the food came out, a different server brought me (not GF) pecan pancakes or something, so I knew not to eat those and told him I had ordered GF pancakes. He brought back "GF pancakes" but I was sick before we even left the restaurant.

I've never gotten sick here and this place is a complete treat for me!
Many Original Pancake House locations offer gluten free pancakes. Please speak to your server about taking the proper precautions to prevent cross contamination, if necessary.
My husband and I ate at the Original Pancake House, on Parmer Lane, for breakfast Sat. morning; it was our first time to eat there.
I had three “Gluten Free” Original Pancakes which were so delicious!! They were nice and thick, and had substance to them. The soft whipped butter and warmed syrup was a nice compliment to the pancakes. I also had 2 thick strips of turkey bacon, which were a bit over cooked. My husband enjoyed his breakfast of Eggs Benedict w/regular bacon, and a half order of Buttermilk Pancakes. The coffee was piping hot and yummy.
I wanted to compliment our waitress, Daniela. When I told her that I had to eat “gluten free” because I have Celiac; she seemed acknowledgeable about what I was saying, and showed me the GF items on the menu, and explained the cooking process in the kitchen area, which made me feel, at ease. Thanks!
We will definitely be back!

This location has amazing service and really great food, definitely worth the wait. There were at least 6 flavor of gluten free pancakes to choose from. I went with the pumpkin which had cinnamon sugar sprinkled on top, just awesome is all I can say especially with the crispy bacon I ordered. My pancakes looked so good that the lady at the next table stopped the waitress to ask what they were. It was such a wonderful treat to get GF pancakes that I didn't need to make myself and tasted great too.

Amazing pancakes and corn beef hash. The waitress knew exactly what was gluten free and which one was not. I would definitely come back again.

Gluten free pancakes in lots of flavors, I've had bacon and pumpkin so far and I am extremely pleased. Also- no up charge for GF! My hubby says the regular pancakes and omelettes are great too.

Dozens of gluten free options and great gluten free pancakes
they have many types of gluten free pancakes. They have a separate skillet for the gf pancakes. Amazingly delicious, friendly knowledgeable wait staff.
They have gluten sensitive pancakes. This is not shown on their website or menu, but the server showed me several types of pancakes that can be made with this batter. They also have omelet & egg selections.

Got sick from the veggie sausages and it was completely awful. Not gluten free friendly.
The gluten-free pancakes were solid and appreciated. They have fresh blueberry syrup also which was terrific.

OK here's my honest review going to the Original Pancake House with Celiac. They have several gluten free options, which is super cool. They can make any pancake gluten free, however, I have no idea what ingredients are in their add ons for pancakes and honestly I'm not sure the wait staff fully knows either. Due to that lack of confidence, I ordered plain GF pancakes. They tasted excellent and I highly recommend. The caveat is how sensitive are you and how willing are you to take a legit chance in potentially getting glutened? They do cook the pancakes on a separate griddle, but they use the same cooking utensil as regular pancakes, so the potential is there for cross contamination. I would avoid the waffles because they are cooked in the same waffle iron. I took a chance on the pancakes and I think I will be safe. I would stay away from ANY sides as they are cooked on the same griddled as the gluten foods. If I get glutened I am confident it is because I did not ask the right questions related to meat prep BEFORE I took a bite of the ham I ordered. So if you decide to roll the dice on this one and hope against hope because you just want to have a "normal" meal out with your family because celiac is HARD, I would recommend sticking with straight up GF plain pancakes. Hope that helps you all! Have a good day!
