I've eaten at both Original Pancake Houses on several occasions, and I was extremely disappointed to have waited 40 minutes today to be seated and order, only to be told they now cook the gluten-free pancakes on the same griddle as all of the others. I was also told they could not accommodate me by using a separate pan. I'm not sure what changed with their protocol; in the past I've been told they use a separate area of the kitchen to prepare gluten-free items. This restaurant is NOT a safe choice if you have celiac disease.

Many Original Pancake House locations offer gluten free pancakes. Please speak to your server about taking the proper precautions to prevent cross contamination, if necessary.

I had a great experience here. The waitress was very educated on celiac as well as the restaurant’s gf options and procedures. Loved the pancakes and bacon!

Gluten free chocolate chip pancakes with whipped cream. Yum. Portion was so generous!

Delicious food and great about safety!
We are from Columbus, OH and frequent the OPH in Columbus. This location doesn’t hold a candle to that one! No GF waffles, only a couple GF pancake selections, and the pancakes unfortunately taste GF (the ones at the OPH in Columbus don’t taste GF). As a disclaimer, I probably would have enjoyed it more had the location in Columbus not already totally exceeded my expectations.

Best gluten free pancakes! I was diagnosed with Celiac 10 yrs ago. I've been to a lot of restaurants! I come here often, and I've never had a bad reaction after dining here. The pecan pancakes are phenomenal! You have to try them! đ
I called ahead to ask about a GF menu. Hostess said they have GF pancakes. I decided to meet family here for breakfast. While ordering I asked about pancakes and server was unaware of procedures for prep, only aware that they do offer GF pancakes. I also asked about their egg dishes and if any of these could be prepared GF. Her response - “we don’t put milk in any of our egg dishes.” I then decided to just have coffee. GF pancakes might be fine for someone without Celiac, but as a Celiac I would not eat food from this restaurant.

Menu has lots of selections. GF pancakes are very good, omelettes are the best. We visit family here from out of state and have had breakfast here 4-5 times. Never had a reaction.

These pancakes are amazing!
I was thrilled to find a place to get gluten free pancakes! They are excellent and I have never gotten sick. The bacon is awesome as well.
Amazing gluten free pancakes. Very accommodating. Huge portions. Did I mention how much we love this place.
Be careful with the bacon. While it tastes great, we won't let our GF son eat it, because the restaurant cannot guarantee it's GF.
Awesome pancakes! Highly recommend.
GF pancakes, amazing bacon, & some of the biggest omelets I've ever seen!
The service was really good. Very clean and comfortable environment. It’s not a dedicated GF restaurant, but my son says he had zero cross-contamination- he knows almost immediately if he is cross-contaminated. There was a great selection of GF options as well. We will absolutely be back!

There’s a dedicated GF pancake menu online with a solid variety of pancakes. GF pancakes are very good, and it’s nice to have choices beyond buttermilk.
Complaints- once I got glutened. Their GF pancakes taste very similar to their regular pancakes and I didn’t realize until I was halfway through the meal. Now I have my family try a piece first. Also, they are super expensive, and the GF pancakes are really tiny now. I haven’t eaten there since.
However, ever since I got glutened I have been asking them to please double check that they’re GF, and they have been writing it on the box to let me know they saw it.
It’s expensive so we don’t eat here often, but it’s nice to have the option. I wish they would expand to crepes.

They have items marked gf, and even offer gf griddle items, however, there is only 1 griddle so risk of cross contamination is high. Other items are prepped in a separate kitchen area and are much safer. Their omelettes are amazing!

One of my absolute favorite places to have breakfast, and has been for years. Though they do offer Gluten Free* options on their menu, they specifically state that there is no guarantee against cross-contamination as they do not use separate cooking equipment for their gluten free items.
