Love their gluten free ancient grain pancakes and bacon. Hubby likes the gluten free ones better than their regular ones even though he has no issues with gluten. 2X2X3 for me. Two eggs any way you like them, two strips of bacon and 3 gluten free pancakes.
Yes
Had my first gf visit. Their gf pancakes are pretty good (even if a bit pricier). Menu doesn’t have as many gf options as most other breakfast places.
I don't understand why anyone who needs to be gluten-free would eat here.
Many Original Pancake House locations offer gluten free pancakes. Please speak to your server about taking the proper precautions to prevent cross contamination, if necessary.
Post script, I mentioned CC concerns on reviews to the manager. Regarding CC, manager said they have a catering grill they can use for the GF pancake, upon request. --- Trying for first time, asked about GF pancake. Waiter had ingredient list in his pocket, and offered us a sample. Very tasty, and along with tons of other menu options (eggs, meats, salads, etc...), plenty of choices for GF. Good quality is excellent and service great too. As others have noted, they don't have a dedicated grill. A small amount of cross contamination is tolerable for us. We will be back.
While visiting my daughter in Plano we decided to eat here because it was listed on find me. Well the pancake is GF but cooked on the same griddle as everything else. Ended up eating fresh fruit.

Loved it! Never got sick.
Glad they had GF pancakes, but boo..for CC. I got glutened and suffered badly.
I have eaten at two separately owned OPH. The on in williamsville ny uses bob's red mill and you can have a large list to choose from. Also the one in plano, tx and all they have is ancient grains as their gluten free pancake. I have never had any problems after eating here.
0 stars, came for gluten free pancakes was told theyre cooked on same surface as the regular, thus MAJOR cross contamination. Only ok if you don't really need to be gluten free...I ate a bowl of fruit.
Awesome gf pancakes!!! They are the first item on the menu!!! Go'
They have gluten sensitive pancakes. This is not shown on their website or menu, but the server showed me several types of pancakes that can be made with this batter. They also have omelet & egg selections.

Got sick from the veggie sausages and it was completely awful. Not gluten free friendly.
The gluten-free pancakes were solid and appreciated. They have fresh blueberry syrup also which was terrific.

OK here's my honest review going to the Original Pancake House with Celiac. They have several gluten free options, which is super cool. They can make any pancake gluten free, however, I have no idea what ingredients are in their add ons for pancakes and honestly I'm not sure the wait staff fully knows either. Due to that lack of confidence, I ordered plain GF pancakes. They tasted excellent and I highly recommend. The caveat is how sensitive are you and how willing are you to take a legit chance in potentially getting glutened? They do cook the pancakes on a separate griddle, but they use the same cooking utensil as regular pancakes, so the potential is there for cross contamination. I would avoid the waffles because they are cooked in the same waffle iron. I took a chance on the pancakes and I think I will be safe. I would stay away from ANY sides as they are cooked on the same griddled as the gluten foods. If I get glutened I am confident it is because I did not ask the right questions related to meat prep BEFORE I took a bite of the ham I ordered. So if you decide to roll the dice on this one and hope against hope because you just want to have a "normal" meal out with your family because celiac is HARD, I would recommend sticking with straight up GF plain pancakes. Hope that helps you all! Have a good day!
