Menu had markings of gluten friendly and basic warning at bottom about how no dedicated space had the hamburger was pretty good they offered a gf bun but I went without the staff was knowledgeable we were seated inside by the plants and had to fight off quite a few flies
Lots of GF options well marked on the menu. Disappointed that on the Monday for lunch in January that I came, they were out of all chicken (air fried GF chicken is one of their specialties) and even their milk was bad so they couldn’t make a latte (wanted one since they don’t have any soda and was looking for some caffeine). Bizarre to say the least. Service at the bar was ok but not excellent. The teriyaki quinoa bowl I got was fine but not great. Ordered a chocolate chip cookie for dessert but it wasn’t the right kind - the bartender took it off the bill without me asking. Maybe they were just having a tough day? It wasn’t very busy, so probably just ordering issues. As a heads up, if you avoid sesame, the menu has a lot of sesame.
I was not very impressed. I had high expectations after reading other reviews, and their menu is clearly marked indicating the items that are GF. The problem was that I ordered the lasagna only to be told that they didn’t have any today. Then asked for a GF pizza, which the menu also says that they have, only to be told that they were out of GF crust today. We then ordered the Brussels sprouts appetizer to give ourselves a few extra minutes for me to decide. The waiter came back a couple of minutes later to report that they could not do the brussel sprouts tonight. So, I decided on the grass fed tenderloin. Finally I had chosen a menu item that was available. I wasn’t that impressed with the steak, there are far better steaks to be had in New Orleans. The cheesy mashed potatoes and roasted vegetables that came with the steak were really good. When the waiter offered us dessert, we asked for the GF chocolate chunk cookies and ice cream, only to be told that those were not available tonight. The waiter then walked off assuming that we didn’t want to order anything else. I swear, I am not making this up. For a restaurant whose website indicates that they are able to modify things to fit dietary needs, they most certainly did not fulfill that promise tonight. For reference, it is a Thursday night, and our reservation was at 7:30. The restaurant was not full at any point while we were there, so I don’t believe that they sold out of everything tonight.
This place was amazing. Not only were there plenty of gluten free meal options but there were multiple dessert option as well. The staff was knowledgeable and accommodating.
Food was good, not great. We split a gf pizza, chicken tenders, salad, and flourless chocolate cake. Initially they brought out a pizza that didn’t look gf so I questioned it. Turns out they got a new computer system and they were just discovering that GF was not printing on their kitchen tickets. Yikes. A manager came out who was clearly embarrassed and promised a new and safe pizza. They discounted part of my meal for this reason. I think this place is normally good for allergies (esp based on their response) but this was a little scary. I would just be aware. It is now the next day and I have felt fine. But with all the other great gf food in New Orleans, I probably wouldn’t return.
Had the chicken tenders and salad. Didn’t get sick. Food is marked as GF, but no drinks are marked, so you have to ask about those. I asked about the lavender oat milk matcha latte, and the guy had to ask the kitchen because he didn’t know if oat milk was gluten free. I’ve never had matcha before and I liked it! This place is a healthy restaurant, but has “regular” options as well (burgers, pizza, chicken tenders, etc).
The waiter I had was amazing, she knew what celiacs was right away and explained all of my options. She told me they would wipe down the counters and completely clean out the pizza oven for me! The food was super good! The place is a super cute restaurant and I loved the vibe! I would love to come back here!
Didn’t get into bearcat so this was a good option right around the corner for breakfast. Had the breakfast sandwich (wasn’t marked GF but staff assured me they could do it on a GF bun in a dedicated oven without me having to ask probing questions which was great) and it was a solid breakfast option
Ate here twice. Good options. Wait staff was knowledgeable about CD. In fact one had CD herself that waited on us. Three GF dessert choices which is unusual. Food was fresh and innovative. Very much wellness oriented but with flavor. They were very flexible in making changes to accommodate. They took the CD diet seriously.
I’ve eaten here twice so far on my visit to New Orleans. Outstanding. I had the OG burger and loaded potatoes with the flourless chocolate cake + ice cream for dessert at one meal and the blanco pizza with hot honey and arugula at another. Both were outstanding. No issues. I’m a sensitive celiac.
PHENOMENAL! Our waiter was so sweet and attentive and made sure that my dish was completely gluten free. He even asked the kitchen about some ingredients for me. I got the Teriyaki Quinoa Bowl with Chicken, and it was absolutely delicious! We also got the flourless chocolate cake served with vanilla ice cream, and it was some of the best GF cake I’ve ever had. I’ve had no symptoms of being glutened and would definitely recommend this place!
The food here is always quite good. Taking one star off because they only serve oat milk lattes which doesn’t seem very paleo or gluten free friendly. But otherwise all gluten free items are clearly marked and many things can be made gluten free. Different kinds of food mean something for everyone also they give kids hot wheels which meant it was the only restaurant my kids want to eat at.
This was a great stop for a lot of gf options and safely prepared food.
The menu is clearly marked with what is Gf and what isn't. Staff was knowledgeable.
I had the blueberry pancakes, my husband had a pizza. All of it was delicious. It was also really well priced for being a more health conscious restaurant. Definitely recommend as a good and safe place for celiacs to eat.
Amazing food. Very delicious and full of taste. I had the TFK Original Chicken Sandwich on GF bread with sweet potato hash and a kale salad. Staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. They were aware of allergens and explained the precautions they take during the preparation process. I would absolutely eat here again.
The strawberry quinoa pancakes are genuinely the best, fluffiest, pancakes i have ever had
This is the 1st place we went to when we arrived. The vibe was a bit cafeteria like but alright for lunch. They have several gluten-free options including gf buns for burgers and pizza. We started with a latte which was tasty but could have been hotter. The “pizza” was just a flatbread with cheese and tomato sauce. Lukewarm and tasteless. The burger was OK nothing special. The service was fine. Overall I’d say ‘meh’
This was a great find. They have a large restaurant space and plenty of gf options. I ordered the grass fed burger with sweet potato hash and had the sparkling prickly pear drink. Everything was flavorful and well seasoned. Will definitely come back here when I’m back in Nola. NB: at the time of this review, they seemed short staffed so service wasn’t super attentive. However, the waitress was pleasant when she interacted with us.
Yes, yes, yes!!! This restaurant is very celiac friendly! Everything there is made from scratch and they are extremely familiar with other dietary restrictions and food allergies. I ate so much to make up for the past two days of eating Kind Bars, because restaurants that advertise they have GF are not celiac friendly.
Excellent vegan ricotta on the spinach mushroom pizza with a tasty gluten free crust. Super glad we came here!
Amazing menu with many GF choices! GF pancakes, pizza crust, pita (!!!), hamburger buns. Food is fresh (herbs growing on site), modern, so many choices. DO NOT MISS this restaurant!! The menu online doesn’t reflect their expansive menu!
In town for a conference and pleasantly surprised to find this place was a grubhub delivery option given that NOLA is notoriously not-great for GF. Ordered dinner and a few add’l things to keep in the hotel fridge for later. Everything was great. The GF pita came warm and was very good with the hummus. Would def go back
We’re stayed in NOLA for a week and visited this place three times haha. Very hard to find gluten-free options in the area and this place is good. Recommend the strawberry margarita.
I went with another celiac for dinner and we both got teriyaki chicken and asked the server to make a note that we both have celiac. We both got super sick. Definitely glutened and very disappointed because this is supposed to be an allergy friendly place and that’s why we picked it for dinner :(
We ate lunch here and I was excited about the many GF options clearly marked on the menu! The food was delicious and our server was very knowledgeable. When our meals were brought out they made a point to remind me that my husband’s meal was not GF and unsafe in case I was going to try a bite. We had an excellent experience.
We loved the restaurant. My wife had the Korean Bowl; I had the Korean Steak, our daughter had the Chicken Parmesan. My wife has celiac disease; gluten is poison. The staff took exceptional care to ensure that there was no cross-contamination. They offered three GF deserts; we tried all three, and they were terrific! I'd highly recommend it. Great ambiance, wonderfully fresh ingredients, and tremendous service!!
This is a scratch made kitchen that can accommodate allergies. Menu is very well marked, servers are knowledgeable, allergy marked even on my bill so I know the kitchen saw it. Felt very safe and comfortable eating there. They even have GF pita for the hummus appetizer even though it’s not marked on the digital menu. Gluten free dessert available. I grabbed a gf/vegan squash pie to-go!
Menu is clearly labeled. When I told my server I had a gluten allergy she said she would alert the kitchen so they would take precautions. I ordered the Korean noodles with shrimp with no issues. Highly recommend!!
This used to be the best place in town for celiac. They were incredibly accommodating, had delicious pizza crust from Venice Bakery, they had fantastic gluten-free pita wraps and terrific GF hamburger buns.
That's all gone now. The new hamburger buns are atrocious, they got rid of the gluten-free pita wraps and they no longer work with Venice Bakery.
Ever since PF Chang's acquired the company, the emphasis on healthy eating has faded. And now the best GF options are gone.
I used to eat here once a week, at minimum. I won't be going back anytime soon.
