We decided to stop on our way home from North FL since there were excellent reviews for their gluten free offerings. We chose not to take table service and ordered to go instead. As we waited, we noticed that not one person changed gloves or took any speacial care for a gluten free request. (You can see the kitchen from the waiting area). Now I only gave the restaurant 2 stars because of our disappointment with their gluten free handling. The food that we had for those of us without gluten concerns was pretty good. It would have been better hot...we had to go 2 miles down the street to Five Guys where every possible concern for cross contamination was completely alleviated and give my son the safe meal he deserved...Five Guys will be getting Five stars.
Great burger on a GF bun. Fantastic service tonight. Very reasonable prices for a great meal.
Best GF hamburger buns around, and the safe tater tots are a bonus!
Sat at the bar and she was unsure of what to say about gluten free ~ said I heard we're gluten friendly not gluten free. Very disappointing!!
I love this place! Every Wahlburgers I've ever been to (Boston & the two in New York) has super accommodating!
YUMMY!! We have eaten there twice my boyfriend has celiacs and has not gotten sick. Dedicated fryer and gf buns/bread.
We were in town visiting from Chicago and absolutely enjoyed every morsel of food at Wahlburgers! Please consider an IL location, we'll be regular customers!
Amazing!!!!! So unbelievably friendly, gluten free options of all sorts and just amazing food all around!!!
Wahlburgers is always accommodating. There are plenty of gf options, including fries and tots. Their burgers are great and always cooked to your specifications. There are also dairy free and veggie options.
absolutely delicious and a ton of great gf and dairy free options. very knowledgeable staff and 2 dedicated fryers. will definitely be visiting again!
Many GF options. Good food and knowledgeable staff. Even had GF beer. Will return again.
Very friendly staff, food was very good. No dedicated gluten free menu but there are gluten free options.
Excellent! The best Gluten free bun I have ever had, the burger was awesome. Have to skip the special sauce. But we can have the tator tots! I forgot how fun they are. The bun is called a smart bun--high protein & low carb yet light & fluffy! A great vehicle for an excellent burger. I had the "our burger." I will be going back. They also had angry orchard & omission. Went on a Monday 6pm & waited around 20 min. Great service & the server was very knowledgeable.
I went here after reading all of the fabulous reviews. However, I was told they do not have a dedicated fryer, so that eliminated about half the menu. This is critical for anyone who is Celiac. The server was not interested in helping us at all. My friend's order was completely wrong and was given attitude when she asked for it to be fixed. Maybe it was an off day, but I will not be back.
I had the "our burger" and it was so good. I also had a couple fries. Luckily it was an early night for us afterwards bc I have celiac disease and got so sick when I got home. I don't know what it was because the waiter said they are super cautious and even change their gloves before handling the food.
My husband really wanted to go to Wahlburgers while we were in Myrtle Beach, so I checked out the menu ahead of time and saw they have Gluten free rolls, bread and croutons on the menu. I told our server that I had to eat GF, and asked if there was anything to steer away from. He pointed out the BBQ sauce is not gluten free and mentioned a few other menu items to avoid. I ordered the OFD Burger and fries, our server suggested the bread over the roll because they butter and grill the bread, and I am so happy he did, it was DELICIOUS!!!
The waitress was very knowledgeable about gluten sensitivity and answered all questions. Enjoyed fries, dedicated fryer. Food was good. Only wished they had gf cupcakes...maybe soon.
It was great! We were in town for an Indians game, and despite what the MLB website said, we knew that the food in the stadium was not going to work for our celiac 8yr old son. Once we walked into Wahlburgers and said "Celiac" you would have thought that we owned the place! I was shocked and so happy, from the hostess to the waiter to to the bartender, they all made us feel like we had been there 100x. It blew my mind! AND the food was amazing!!!!! I eat GF with my son, tho I don't need too, but we r a team. Burgers and buns were delicious . They knew I didn't need GF, but they were sure that is what I got bc that is what I ordered! Dedicated fryer! YUM! Wish I had one closer in CT! BRAVO WAHLBURGERS !!!
We ate here a few days ago. My son and I have Celiac. We had no issues, but it was a leap of faith. Server was generally unaware of the GF menu options, but did have knowledge of the dedicated fryer for fries. He did go back and ask the kitchen manager what was safe and relayed that information to us. That said...we didn't feel 100% safe that our food would be GF. Turns out that it was, which was great, but we wish they would do a little more to make the ordering process more comfortable.
Went for the love of the Wahlbergs and burgers, left happy and full! Aside from being a cool place to go into and check out all the memorabilia on the wall, great tasting food! I usually do not order my burgers on a roll since gluten free rolls can be difficult, but was starting and tried this one. So glad I did, the roll was so soft and fluffy, I was in heaven! Burgers are delicious and so many options to choose from. Fries and tots are cooked in a dedicated fryer, so it was nice to share. We were there before a Red Sox game and it was incredibly busy, so sadly, our fries and tots were not cooked well enough, but still tasted good. Staff is very knowledgeable and aware of all the ins and out of gluten free!
Delicious GF bun. Dedicated fryer for only fries. Had the "our burger". Tasty!! The only bad thing is they don't have a GF menu and the gal taking our order didn't know what was GF. She asked a manager and the manager quickly said everything we couldn't have and when we asked about the our burger - she said it was ok. Just would feel more comfortable knowing exactly what is gf with a written menu and knowing that all their staff is trained. They told me they Handle the gf rolls separate and only burgers go on the grill - no buns.
We were ordering from the takeout part of Wahlburger's at Pearson. The posted menu said "Ask about our gluten-free options" so I did. She just directed me back to that part of the menu (where some extra toppings that may or may not be gluten free were also listed). She seemed to have a very limited understanding of what I was asking about. We decided to go elsewhere. Perhaps we would have had a better experience in the sit down part of the restaurant
I've eaten at Wahlburgers before & have never had an issue, but this experience was my best yet. The bartender was incredibly knowledgeable not only about the gluten free liquors, but about the food & dedicated fryers as well. He never hesitated to answer any of my questions right away. They don't have a separate gluten free menu, but it's listed on the menu that they have gluten free bread, buns, and croutons. I wasn't feeling like bread, so they made me a big salad with the burger & all of the toppings. All of the staff seems very happy (and knowledgeable) to assist with any allergy needs!
Chicken was rubbery aka undercooked. Manager did the right thing to accommodate. My Burger was good. Gluten free buns and separate fryer was plus. Dessert was pretty yummy.
Me and my boyfriend both have celiac and eat here all the time with no problem!
I was starting to feel like I wasn't going to find anything to eat in the Pearson airport. Found Wahlburger. My server was very knowledgeable about GF options on menu. Unfortunately since the place uses the same fryer for onion rings and fries wasn't able to try the fries.
Service was horrendous and portions were small but tasty.
Is negative 5 stars an option? I ordered a BBQ burger on a gf bun with no cheese (dairy allergy) and they brought me a plain cheeseburger (after about 50 minutes). My family ate their dinners and they took back the cheeseburger. The server came back and said "we can't do it". We were now running out of time for our flight and I said, "just bring me a burger with nothing on it on a gf bun". She said ok but then came back and said that the kitchen refused. No manager ever came over and after 10 days, no one from the company has responded to my letter. I had to leave the restaurant with no dinner. This should've been free! Avoid this place at all costs!
