Had a gluten free menu and the server was really knowledgeable about cross contact. They have to fill out an allergy ticket and get it signed off by the head chef. Food came out with allergy markers and was really good! I got a steak sandwich with au gratin potatoes and it was delicious!
I have a Nima gluten tester, I tested the cauliflower mozzarella pizza which came back “gluten found”. The server said when she spoke with the chef he said the sauce could have been cc.. I requested in future they have separate pizza sauce than the one they use for wheat pizza crust. The flourless chocolate cake and gf bread’s results were gluten free!
Didn’t get a very knowledgeable waiter so we did not have a pleasant time. Burger was very good but kind of felt judged for having an allergy. He got very confused when we had 2 people with allergies to wheat & dairy. Now I am up at 3am with an aching stomach pain & nausea. Definitely not safe for celiac ):
I have dined at Wildfire twice. Once in the summer of 2019 and once this month (october 2020). The ambiance is great and the food is delicious. Unfortunately Wildfire is NOT celiac friendly. The first time I ate here I got incredibly sick. I wanted to give it another chance because of the great gluten free reviews and I thought maybe the first time was just a fluke. But I got even sicker the second time I ate here. I made it extremely clear to the server both times that I have a serious allergy. My food came out marked gluten free, but was definitely cross contaminated. I’m so surprised Wildfire has multiple positive gluten free reviews.... I wish it was safe for me to eat because the food is delicious but I won’t be returning.
Staff are very knowledgeable. Just ask for the GF menu. I had the WildFire chopped salad. I was brought GF bread, delicious! The Parmesan cod was fabulous. I also indulged in the flourless chocolate cake for dessert. Everything was marked with an allergy stick in it. I felt very safe and confident eating.
I've been here a handful of times, and every time is a great experience! Staff is knowledgeable about Celiac, has a separate menu, and has those little toothpicks to identify your meal is GF. Plenty of options on the menu. Food is delicious. The Halibut and salmon are favorites of the group of people I go with. The salads are excellent, and the goat cheese app is amazing.
Not celiac safe! Had a few positive tests with the Nima sensor on different dishes (French onion soup and the chicken Moreno tested positive. The twice baked potato was ok). The servers are great and make you feel comfortable about their kitchen process. When the manager found out about the positive tests that said something like “maybe this isn’t the best place for you to eat”. The kitchen does not have a safe process to avoid CC. Eat at your own risk. I won’t be back again.
Absolutely delicious food! My husband and I go here every year for Valentines Day for the 4-course dinner. They have gluten free shrimp cocktail, croutons, steak, potatoes, bread, and a delicious GF chocolate cake. We always feel like they handle our GF requests with great care. The overall atmosphere of the restaurant is amazing - dimly lit, Frank Sinatra music vibes - it’s exceptional! Make a reservation if you can.
Rather disappointed after reading great reviews. Ordered food to go. The onion soup had a big label on top saying "GF No crouton." I opened the lid and there was a huge crouton inside so soaked in soup that it fell apart into tiny pieces when I tried to remove it. I ordered the pizza and requested goat cheese on top. The pizza cake with no goat cheese and when I pointed that out, the carry out guy took the pizza away and sprinkled goat cheese on top and brought it right back, without cooking or even reheating it to melt the cheese. I ordered a filet medium well and it was rare.
Extensive GF menu-- very knowledgeable staff and excellent service. GF bread available-- and both GF pasta and rolls, too. Food is excellent-- and a great atmosphere. Kids eat free on Sunday (and they have GF options for kids, too!) One of our favorites!
like others have said, Wildfire is hands down THE BEST gluten free restaurant in the Twin Cities. Great expansive menu, delicious & abundant gf menu. I mean GF food that is superb, not ok or a steak with no sides or seasoning. Everything is that good, the salads are something you'll actually enjoy and look forward to! !
Great trained staff and a large binder with ingredients for all menu items.
Excellent gf menu and very good food. they take extra precautions when preparing gf items. I had the gf pizza as well as gf beer and desert. Prices aren't too bad considering the level of service and atmosphere. They even have delicious fresh gf bread provided with every meal.
Ate here for the first birthday dinner post-diagnosis.
I have never felt more welcome at an establishment; I had my own free table bread, and they even gave me the flourless chocolate cake on the house for my birthday (I was planning on getting it anyways, but was prepared to get the gluten-containing dessert and give to my family).
Anyways, this meant the world to me. I got glutened the day before at a different establishment so I’m unaware if any of my food caused me to get glutened while there, but my leftovers didn’t cause any problems. :)
I will definitely be back! New birthday tradition 👀👀
Wildfire has a gluten free menu but the staff lacks knowledge about food handling. The runner carried my plate piled on his arm with my friend's food. She was not gluten free. Great menu choices. Only one gf dessert option. Also they have added a 3% restaurant sur charge. Other than that, the food was good. Hope I don't get sick. Lowering the safety score. I got very sick.
