My husband brought my daughters and I here tonight as a surprise after dinner, and I will be honest and say that I was hesitant to order anything at first. My husband asked the employee helping us if he would mind using a clean scoop for my oldest daughter’s ice cream (wheat allergy), and I was shocked when he told us that he would not only use a clean scoop, but would scoop from a new carton of ice cream as well. I told him I didn’t want to make him do extra work if the chance of cc was low, and he replied that it wasn’t extra work for him, and that this was about us and making sure we stayed safe and felt comfortable. I was shocked, in the best way. After watching the extra effort it took him, I can say that it certainly did take more work (and time, even as the line was building), but he didn’t bat an eye and was incredibly kind about everything. I thanked him profusely and made sure he knew how much I appreciated his efforts. Not only was it nice to feel safe while enjoying a treat, but it was especially nice to not feel like I’ve ruined someone’s night all because I asked about safety measures concerning gluten. 10/10 recommend Jeni’s - both the service and ice cream were superior!

I love Jeni’s - their ice creams are so good, and they label everything for major allergens! This particular shop was so careful for me… they scooped my ice cream with clean scoops from new containers. I had to wait a few extra minutes but it was well worth it. (I loved the new tahini oat chocolate cookies flavor… hope I find it in a store near me!)

After visiting 3 times, I have 3 very different experiences. Overall, I’d continue coming back, but I recommend being very clear with your needs and not feel pressured from the long line of people behind you. All the gluten free ice creams are labeled gluten free on the ice cream cases, not the board of daily flavors. They have awesome GF flavors - the Gooey Butter Cake has GF cake chunks in it!

1st Visit - I called ahead and was assured they take out untouched ice cream from the back if I asked for an allergy scoop. However when I went in, the line was a mile long and they were rushing. They did not get out fresh tubs, but they did get a clean scooper for me.

2nd Visit - They took out the 3 tubs of ice cream I asked for from the back when I asked for an allergy scoop. It took 20 minutes for the tubs to thaw enough to scoop from and they used a sanitized scoop. Felt very safe!

3rd Visit - They took out the tubs of ice cream, but one of the flavors was incorrect and had shortbread in it. Luckily the scoops were hardly touching, so I only ate the very edges of the other flavors and threw the rest out. Be sure you double check the flavors they scoop for you.

Just went here and they were super amazing! They pulled out a brand new tub of each flavor I wanted with clean, new scoops to use for those as well. Absolutely no cross contamination and the workers were very friendly and accommodating. They have so many GF options and they’re all super good!

We took a scooter ride on our visit to Atlanta and ended up in the Krog market. After discovering Recess, which was amazing, my daughter wanted ice cream. Jeni's was right across and after a quick conversation with the staff, we felt really good about trying their ice cream. She loved it and had no issues.

I’ve been going here for years and never gotten sick. After official Celiacs diagnosis however I request an “allergy scoop” and specify for gluten allergy where they will get a fresh scoop for you from a new container and leave out the cone piece they usually add. Truly the best ice cream with many GF flavors, friendly and accommodating staff and great atmosphere.

Jeni’s was great! They have a wide selection of ice cream flavors and they identify which ones are gluten free on the labels. They have a small selection of dairy free ice creams and sorbets. They also note other allergens like nuts on the labels. We asked for an allergy scoop and they scooped ice cream out of an untouched ice cream container with a fresh scoop to ensure it was safe for my daughter with Celiac.

located on the corner under some lofts this was a cutie little local find!! I checked the site first as I’d say a good majority of the ice cream is GF however only about 8-9 options are DF and the options that are both leaves you rather limited. All that to be said.. when I went in the only DF options out for a scoop were lemon something and a caramel cake option of sorts. I asked if there were any options both DF/GF and the nice gal walked me to the pints that were for sale and pulled out the banana pudding, chocolate truffle and there was another flavor but I didn’t choose it so I forgot lol. Anyway, the pints were $12 which was more dollars and ice cream than I really wanted but I was committed so I can now say that the chocolate truffle was delicious. It’s very fluffy and creamy and has a strong chocolate flavor that I’d say pretty well imitates a truffle. It is made with coconut cream so if you’re allergic obviously stay away.. or if you’re like me and not the biggest fan of coconut be warned that the “whisper of coconut” the packaging claims is less whisper more indoor voice level flavor. But all in all the texture mimicked ice cream well, if they had this flavor on the line for a scoop I’d definitely go back.

We LOVE this place so much! The ice cream is delicious. You just tell the workers that you need to eat gluten free and that you need an allergy scoop from the back and they will go to the back and use a fresh scoop to get it from a fresh tub. In the display case, everything is clearly marked gf or not and they have dairy free options also. In the display case, their not gluten free waffle cone pieces can fall in the ice cream when they are scooping so it’s best to always get it from the back. Over half the flavors are gf and they even have cake and cookies in them which usually doesn’t come in gf ice cream. We have went here so many times without having a reaction. Amazing flavors. My favorites are gooey butter cake and the birthday which are both gluten free.

This is the perfect Ice Cream shop for gluten free folks! They have the gluten free ice creams labeled as so and if you tell them you have Celiac's Disease/sever gluten allergy - they will scoop from a fresh tub with a clean ice cream scoop. Yes there are some gluten containing flavors/cones, but it's so easy to eat here without fear of cross contact thanks to their awesome protocols and incredibly helpful staff! My whole family went here (6 of us) but only 2 of us needed the gluten free options and we all loved it!

Jeni’s is the BEST! They label for allergens and it’s truly some of the best ice cream I’ve had. Very unique flavors. You can also buy pints in certain grocery stores. Important to note: tell them that you have a gluten allergy so that that don’t but a waffle come piece in the ice cream.

Half of the flavors here are gluten free. The server pulled fresh ice cream containers and used a clean scoop for my celiac son. Highly recommend.

Lots of great options. They’ll give you an “allergy scoop” if you ask them. That just means they change their gloves, get a clean scoop and scoop from an unopened bin.

Second time going and the staff is very understanding. They have GF ice cream clearly marked. Not certified gluten free. They will grab ice cream from a new vat with a clean scoop. Ice cream is produced in a facility that also handle wheat but their website says that they do all they can to avoid cross-contamination.
