This location was just as amazing as the others. Excellent gluten free crust and creative toppings. I’m pretty sensitive but had no issues. Would order every week if I could!

I thought this was one of the best GF crusts I’ve ever had!! I told them that I had an allergy, the woman taking my order did let the chef know. 4 star only because they can’t guarantee no CC but I did not have any symptoms. Amazing crust!!

The BEST gluten free pizza I have had in over 10 years. My gluten full family and friends will even ask to go here and can’t tell the difference between gf and gluten full! Lots of locations on the north shore, would highly recommend!

Ended up going here after getting to Crave after they closed. They cook GF pizzas on a protective pan cover, and also use a separate cutter for them. It was a pretty average GF crust and was clearly some sort of frozen shell. I didn't feel sick after and seemed like it is just about as safe as an average restaurant, but did see their corporate disclaimer "We cannot guarantee that each handmade pizza does not contain trace amounts of gluten.".

I order from here often - it’s always a risk, they do their best, but it is not a dedicated kitchen. For the most part I have had really wonderful food with minimal discomfort, but occasionally feel as though I had some cross contamination. Compared to other pizza places, they are way more consistent and safe, and because of this I continue to eat here.

Door dashed pizza from here, options were distinctly labeled gluten free which was helpful. It had the best gluten free pizza crust I’ve ever had, and the combination of toppings was really unique and good.

Warning! Do NOT eat here at the South Boston location if you have celiac! They do not take them seriously. Guy who took my order said “yes” to all of my questions about safety protocols, then likely didn’t follow any of them. My daughter was violently ill within 5 mins of eating the pizza. Avoid this location at all costs!

We'd called previously and been told they took care to prevent cross contamination. This time my pizza showed up with charred bits on the bottom, we called back and were told there was no cross contamination prevention and the pizza wasn't recommended for Celiacs. Wish I'd noticed before I ate it.

Great tasting pizza! Gluten free crust is wonderful tasting. Not your generic frozen crust. Waitstaff is great also

Just got this app so this review is late, but I ate here about a month ago and got very sick. I actually came here because I saw the reviews online and they were mostly really good. Their menu even has a note that their food is not recommended for people with celiac because of CC risk. I decided to give it a try and regretted it. A big part of me making an account and started leaving reviews is because I am not sure how places like this have such good reviews. The pizza was not even that great. The crust was like card board and the pizza was strangely sweet.

At first it was the best crust in town, and I never got sick from it. I was ordering here weekly for a while it was that good. But they changed the gf crust which is now a cardboard variety that is not worth the price. They’ve also stopped honoring custom requests (ie if you want more sauce and less of the mountain of cheese thrown on.) It was nice while it lasted. If they went back to the old crust and started paying attention to custom orders again I’d consider returning. Bummer.

Called to ask how the gluten free pizza is prepared and they said that it’s in the same oven and one the same pizza stones, but “it should be safe” because of the heat of the oven.

Absolutely loved their gluten free pizza! My mom is t gluten free but split the pie with me and loved it so much said she’d order it again even though she doesn’t need to!
Lots of interesting specialty pizzas. We highly recommend the butternut, ricotta, Craisin pie!
Only negative was the pitcher of water served to the table was room temperature/warm

Yummy quality pizza . Crust is crunchy and ingredients and toppings are real. Nothing artificial tasting! I’m Celiac and Otto’s gluten free pizza has always proven to me safe to enjoy…š

I am obsessed with their potato pizza. They have GF crust and they cook it on its own pan, but they really can’t ensure cross contact. I haven’t had any issues here, but definitely play it safe.

I ordered the 12 inch gluten free pizza. Went to pick it up. Box seemed big do even asked to confirm it was gluten free. Was told yes. Walked home only to find a regular 16 inch pizza in the box. Tried to call but no one answered the phone since they’d closed 4 minutes earlier. $30 for nothing.

Picked up pizza twice from 250 Read St location. This is the best GF pizza I've ever had! This crust is incredible, and the pizza sauce is the best I've ever had. I ordered online and requested GF prep and items. Did not have the chance to talk to staff (and I'm typically more careful) but both orders came after not being able to get reservations and we were very hungry. I did not notice any symptoms, and feel confident I was not glutened. SO GOOD!

I order from here all of the time (if I’m ever ordering pizza, 99% of the time it’s from Ottos). I’m highly sensitive to cross-contamination but have never had an issue if they know it’s an allergy. Also, their pizza is **extremely** tasty. The gluten free crust is pretty exceptional

It was fine. Waited a long time for my pizza. Too long actually. But pizza was good and the leftovers heated up nicely the next day. Would go again
I went to this location yesterday. I noticed that the bottom of the menu had a statement along the lines of not suitable for those with celiac disease and they could not guarantee no gluten would be present. I had eaten at other Otto's and I have an allergy versus celiac disease so I decided to risk it. Big mistake. After a few pieces I felt sore and uncomfortable but figured it may be related to being in the sun all day. Later I had another piece and I felt awful after 30 minutes. I wish I had been more cautious and I would also caution people who are allergic to gluten to avoid this location (along with those with celiac).

Yummy GF Pizza!! Best I’ve ever had.
Not celiac friendly. Flour is everywhere.

It's not our first time at Ottos but it's our first time at this location. My number 1 rule before eating is to NOT go to the restroom. There's is nothing more than an appetite killer than a nasty restroom. Nasty restroom, nasty kitchen. If they can't clean the bathroom properly, guess what? The kitchen must also be horribly disgusting. AND I broke my rule. First off, the toilet was disgusting like it hasn't seen a toilet brush in a while. The water bottle container had white and black stuff stuck on the inside of the bottle. So we didn't drink the water.
As for the food, it was just ok. We ordered meatballs appetizer and gluten free pepperoni pizza. The meatballs were tough and not tender at all and it came out luke warm. The pizza was a nightmare. It was so doughy and undercooked. We paid $15 for the pizza and it was quite disappointing. The dough was frozen pre-made so it was tough. If they can't do gluten free right, they should just not offer them.
No
This is a very popular pizzeria. I wish I could eat there, but we cannot. The staff is very knowledgeable and they made it very clear that it’s not safe for celiac’s. But across the street from them in Brookline there is Oath Pizzeria, which is fantastic! And as with them, the staff at Oath is very knowledgeable and pleasant.
No
Well, they advertise a gluten free crust, so I thought I would give it a try. I ordered online with a note that I have celiac. Someone called me to cancel my order because they said that they aren't "THAT gluten free. I appreciated their honesty (some places would just serve something that makes you sick), but if someone didn't make it a point to specify that they had celiac and just trusted that gluten free is actually gluten free, it would be a problem.
No
Best gluten free crust! It’s also vegan. They also have vegan cheese, Violife brand. Soooo good.
Reviews from other Otto locations say those kitchens are not celiac safe. Not sure about this one.
Definitely not safe for anyone with gluten sensitivity or celiac.
No
Extremely irresponsible- they don’t tell people they are not celiac/allergy safe. Flour is everywhere. Someone thought it was safe to take my little one there because the waitress said it was “gluten free”(!!!) and she just threw up.
No
Cannot guarantee no contamination in kitchen. Not celiac friendly.

I ordered gluten free vegan margherita pizza and thankfully tested it with my Nima first. It was not gluten free. š
