Our waitress did not seem to be familiar with gluten/gluten-free options at all; when we asked, my wife had to ask her to go to the kitchen to ask. We heard someone laugh when she asked if the bacon was gluten-free and said, “Bacon has gluten?” NOTHING on the menu has “gf” identification. Food was good but, while the said they have gf options, uncertain how safe for allergies/celiacs.

Dined at the Tuckahoe location today and had a concerning first experience. Nothing on the menu is marked GF. However, it does note they have GF pancakes for an extra charge and the waitress let us know they also have GF waffles. I asked if the bacon was GF and she said she had no idea. I asked her if she could check and since it’s an open kitchen I could see her asking. After the chuckling and the head cook saying -I guess so-,our server came back and said “it’s GF because there is no milk in it”. The GF pancake tastes like a box mix, the potatoes were good and the eggs were good right.
I am gluten and dairy intolerant and had a mild reaction.
If you have celiac, I would not recommend this place at all.

Did not order, got up and walked out. They cook everything on shared equipment, even pancakes and waffles. This is not a place for someone with celiac.

They have "gluten friendly" options. I would not recommend the " gluten friendly" items for anyone with Celiacs, gluten allergy, wheat allergy, or severe gluten intolerance. They put their gf toast in the same toaster as the gluten bread. I'm not sure about the pancakes. I've had the pancakes a couple of times and have not gotten sick. The pancakes are... ok. They are a bit dry, but can get the job done if you want to go out for breakfast with family.

I have severe celiac and the omelette Made me bloat up immediately and the grits were good but definitely not safe if you are severe like me. Servers do not know what gluten free is either. They do have gluten free pancakes but u wouldn’t take the chance

Wonderful eggs that are gf! Staff was willing to alter things and make in a dedicated spot for gf!
Has gf pancakes (unaware of how they’re cooked as I did not get them)

Offer gluten free pancakes but everything is cooked on the same grill so cross contamination is present. But when I said I had celiac the chef came out and said that they will clean the grill and make sure it is ok to the best of their abilities. Super nice and caring staff and had no problems after eating the pancakes.

I was told the only GF option was their pancakes. Normally GF pancakes are a treat to be able to get, but these were very gooey in the middle and didn't taste that great. Unfortunately, I felt sick shortly after leaving the restaurant.

My waitress and the staff were all super helpful and concerned. They double checked all ingredients to make sure there were no traces of gluten. I got the eggs Benedict on GF bread instead of English muffin, Home fries, and water. I don’t have an allergy or celiac, so I’m not hyper vigilant. The staff here was.

I am gluten intolerant, not Celiac. This a good little diner that offers Audi’s gluten free bread options. I had no issues, but since cross contamination does not affect me, I do not know how safe it is for people with severe issues. There’s so few breakfast options for GF folks, I get excited when I find even a decent one.

Food was great and they were very accommodating. I did ask the waitress about the dedicated waffle maker, she ensured me that they DO NOT have a dedicated waffle maker. She did however mention that the kitchen staff are really great about cleaning the grill top and waffle maker prior to making gluten free food. She said some other locations might, but not this one in Ladson. I didn’t want to take the chance with the waffle maker, so I opted for an omelet and gf pancake for the side. No reaction noted, so I’d call it safe.

It's definitely not the worst but not the best experience. They do have gluten "friendly" pancakes. I told the waiter that I'm very allergic to wheat. He informed the cooks right away. I'm feeling jittery, which is the beginning to a reaction in my body. Sometimes I'll just get jittery. Sometimes I get so high the room spins till I pass out, depending on the amount of wheat I consume. The pancakes weren't full of flavor. No vanilla bean, like IHOP. Even with the blueberries, they are really bland. The people who work here are what makes the experience not so great. They aren't inviting friendly. I asked to sit where I can charge my phone. I was told I couldn't charge my phone while sitting. They didn't ask if I wanted a booth or a table. They just wiped off a table and said "here". I stated that I would rather not sit in a table. I don't see why I can't sit at the booth with the outlet to charge my phone. She told me to sit where I'd like and I plugged my phone in and sat down. The waiter was efficient in taking my order, but I didn't receive the happy welcoming interaction. The woman wiping tables was speaking very pesimisticly about their lives. I had to request a refill of water as the waiter returned to set a ticket on my table without offering more water. I'll probably be back because it doesn't seem like there's many gf options in the area. Maybe grits and an omelette would be better? The cook just came out and she gave me a great big smile. That way the best interaction in this place! I wish that they were all that great!

Horrible!!! My friend and I (both celiac) went here for breakfast and each ordered GF pancakes. My pancakes came out first, so by the time his were delivered I had already eaten about half my meal. When we compared his GF pancakes to my GF pancakes, they looked nothing alike. We asked our waitress to make sure they were both GF and she said “they look the same to me.” We asked her to check with the chef and to that she said “you’ll find out eventually,” i.e. making fun of our allergies and the possibility of us having an allergic reaction. When the manager came over the same thing happened and the staff proceeded to give us dirty looks throughout the rest of our meal. We did get replacement GF pancakes, but they tasted like straight chemicals. They also refused to take the mistake pancakes off our check and said “what do you expect us to do.” Overall a horrible experience. Do not go here!!

They had gluten friendly items marked on the menu online, but not on the menu in the restaurant if I remember correctly. The hostess knew about Celiac but the server didn't and suggested things I couldn't have, though she did tell me not to get the gluten friendly pancakes because of cross contamination. I ordered a side of two eggs and fruit and requested they clean the cooking surface and change their gloves. When my food was brought out, the server relayed the message from the kitchen that they did what I asked, but if they'd been busy, such as on a Saturday or Sunday, they wouldn't be able to.

The menu is clearly marked for gluten free items. They have gluten free pancakes, which you can add any toppings to. The home fries are also gluten free. I am not 100% sure what measures are taken to prevent cross contamination, as the pancakes are only marked "gluten friendly". However, I had the pancakes and did not get sick.

Not allergy friendly at all. Actually they have gluten free pancakes on the menu but ran out of the batter. Since they were out of the batter they decided to use the griddle that was dedicated for regular food. Now it is compromised, they don't understand the nature of serious allergies. Didn't feel safe, didn't stay to eat and risk my life.

Close to our house so we tried it recently. The GF pancakes were tasteless. The only syrup they carry is Log Cabin, so that may have been part of the pancake issue for me. It is a family run business, so I hate to be negative, but nothing Ii ordered tasted good. Maybe from the high fructose corn syrup, maybe from cross contamination, but I felt awful the rest of the day. We won't be back.

Came because of the restaurant being on the app. However was told that the pancakes are cooked on same grill as other pancakes so they really aren’t gluten free. Was also told eggs are cooked on same grill that bread is cooked on, so they aren’t gluten free either. Sat and watched my family eat.

I called and the staff told me nothing was truly gf there was a whole cross contamination. She was very unknowledgeable of the gluten free world, and seemed seriously uninterested in helping to keep celiacs safe. I wouldn’t eat here if you have a serious allergy. They don’t care about your safety at all, just checking boxes to seem like they care. Please beware!
