Overall the kitchen is very knowledgeable of what is gluten free and can help steer you in the right direction. I have celiac disease and usually get the Impossible taco salad. The dressing is gluten free and staff has told me the tortilla strips are gluten free/don’t share a fryer and I’ve never had any issues. I’ve also gotten the salmon and had no issues either. Highly recommend this spot.

GF I did not see the san Diego business advertise by anymore. It is Jerusalem by the name of hodori. I do not recommend you do foreign food. I had my money ready to pay then some suckers pulled the fast one. You will be robbed on Milpitas side. I'll tell you about this. Angry house mate does the lottery. I wasn't stolen from. I ripped his ticket. He does pubs. My tempura order I lasted four hours. The money is there or it's not.
We’ve eaten here so many times and never an issue. This has always been our go to for GF sandwiches and fries. Normally my wife who has celiac receives her sandwich after minutes of me already having mine. Today both sandwiches came out at the same time. It is obviously our fault for not questioning the server when that happened. Within 30 minutes of eating, she was bloated and by evening she was sicker than a dog. I would just confirm when you order and when you receive your food that it was gluten-free. It may not hurt to also ask for a manager to make sure that it’s done right.

My family gets takeout from Jacks every few months. They won’t guarantee any food is gluten free, but I (celiac) have no problem with the grilled meats and build-your-own-salad without dressing. My Nima sensor detected gluten in the side dishes but the chicken, salmon and beef were “safe”.

OH MY GOODNESS!! This was so good. They were diligent about making sure my meal was GF. I wanted to eat more but I was soooo full. Will definitely be back.

Cross contamination. They do have a gf menu and a dedicated fryer but I watched them put a steak down to grill right where gluten previously was … also found a small crouton in my salad before I started eating it.

Love Jack’s. We’ve been coming here for years and we can continue to do so after my daughter’s diagnosis. They have a dedicated fryer for fries, gluten free bun option, tons of tasty salads, and lots of GF entrees.

I visited Jack’s for the first time this week with a small group (I am the only celiac). I had a great lunch. They have a delicious gf sandwich roll, a dedicated fryer for the French fries. I was asked when I placed my order if my gf requirements were due to an allergy. My friends were served their meals, it took another 10 minutes for me to get my meal, when I inquired, I found that they replace the cutting boards, utensils, and gloves to make my meal. I was extremely pleased that they took care to do this and the staff I spoke with seemed well versed in what was safe for me to eat.

They are very helpful and understand what not cross contamination means. We have been there twice and enjoyed our food immensely!

The first two times I are here I got salads and did fine. Then I got brave and ordered a sandwich and that made me sick. I was so bummed because I really liked this place.

The managers take allergies very seriously and pull all of my celiac ingredients from the back and prep there.

They have Udi's bread for your sandwich of any choosing, plus when I told them I was gluten free, the employee changed out all the equipment so as not to cause cross contamination. Very pleasant experience.

They said that their fries have a dedicated fryer. I ordered a gluten free club sandwich and garlic fries. I told them I have celiac and they understood that that meant I couldn't have gluten. I got sick from their food.

This location is hit or miss. We have placed online orders and then arrived for pick up and had them tell us they weren’t comfortable filling the order because of cross-contamination risks. Other times they have been more helpful. We have had a much better experience at the Jack’s in Roseville at the Fountains. They have a dedicated fryer so you can get fries there, which isn’t offered in Folsom. They also can heat up their gluten free rolls separately from other items in Roseville. In Folsom we always get cold crumbly rolls. Salads are probably the safest and all of their dressings are gluten free.

Whatever you do do not eat here ever! The girls that work here are the rudest snottiest people you would ever experience. I can’t believe that anyone would pay to be treated so poorly. Again do not ever eat here. The food here is OK but the prices are absolutely ridiculous but the most important thing is that the girls at work here treat you like you’re a piece of garbage.

I had a horrible reaction I think due to cross contamination

Great food. Staff were super knowledgeable and helpful. I had the turkey plate with mixed veggies in basalmic the turkey was juicy and delicious. The mashed potatoes and cranberry sauce were so good I thought they had stolen my recipes. š

This place was great! They had a separate frier for fries and also an allergy menu. You can substitute gluten free bread for almost all the sandwiches. Would recommend
Yes
Really happy to find this place. Turkey is my favorite and I walked in to see a whole roasted turkey in the kitchen. The gluten free sandwich roll was soft and fresh tasting, the turkey was thick sliced breast. When I asked about fries they said they had a dedicated fryer for gluten free. Yay!

These guys have been great. Their food is delicious and they are really on top of it :)

I have celiac and have eaten here multiple times with no problems. I use a tester to test for gluten content. Tonight for the first time ever all three dishes tested positive for gluten (at least 20 ppm). We ordered the lemon thyme chicken breast (made in the microwave instead of the grill), garlic fries (was told they'd be made in the dedicated fryer) and the classic steak sandwhich on a gluten free bun).
I order the chicken and garlic fries every time I go.
I'm not writing this place off because it has tested gluten free dozens of other times I've been there. The place was jam packed busy and I did take out. There were other take out orders waiting as well. I believe it's highly likely the message about celiac and no gluten may not have made it to the person preparing the food or their usual safe practices weren't followed.
Or perhaps for the fries at least, I was given someone else's order (i noticed most people were ordering garlic fries).
My advice is to go during slower times and watch to be sure safe practices are flowed.
Management wasn’t helpful or apologetic when there was a crouton in my salad. I was trying to educate not get my money back. They have a gf menu but I don’t trust them.

Salads are amazing. Knowledgeable of gluten free options. Big portions.
They had a gluten free menu that also told you how to make certain items gluten free by substitution. Would use a separate work space as well.
The staff is great! If it your first time ordering an item gluten here they are very helpful and can look up if any of the ingredients are containing gluten. I have only tried a few of their salads myself. Never gotten sick after.

Awesome Turkey sandwich with GF bun. So good

Gluten free menu. Had the steak salad, very good except waaaaay to many onions. Great service.
Yes
love this place, great salads. their fries are amazing but I'm not sure if it's dedicated gf frier so ask. I don't get sick eating here but I'm not celiac.
Great salads. Didn’t try sandwiches. It has great options for mixed nutrients and while I’m not celiac, it seemed pretty safe.
good selection of gluten free options. bread is individual sealed packages. I truly enjoyed!
Always have the salad, my choice of toppings. I'm able to eat gluten free and only have toppings that are safe. Never been cross contaminated. Been several times with coworkers.
The staff was somewhat knowledgeable. They had a menu to tell you which items were gf or how to have them modified to be gf. I believe they also have gf bread, but I got a salad.
Yes
very knowledgeable about celiac. GREAT food.

No dedicated fryer. Good selection of salad toppings. Never had an issue with the salad
Great options! I had the chicken plate with mashed potatoes and butternut squash with kale. All of it was delicious! I will return š
This chain advertises gluten free sandwiches, but after my wife ordered (and paid for) a sandwich on a gluten free roll, and explained that she had celiac disease, so it needed to to be prepared in a clean environment, the sandwich maker said under her breathe that she wouldn't make the sandwich, My salad came, and I finally went ahead and ate it, but my wife's sandwich was never made, They ultimately refunded her money rather than clean a knife and a section of the table and change gloves. We're not going back! Other locations are fine.

Very hard to sort out what is actually gluten free and what cross contamination issues there might be. Servings are generous and food was very tasty. I had the roasted turkey plate.
No
They have a Gluten free menu that highlights the items to omit from the non-gluten free menu. All of their sauces contain gluten. I had the roasted turkey and it was good but would have been better with sauce. All of my sides French fries and mashed potatoes came to me cold. Many other patrons also complained about cold sides. The Strawberry Lemonade was really good!
Great salads made to order. If you tell them that you have celiac, they will get all new ingredients from the back.
My family just Loves this restaurant. Fantastic build-your-own salads, with great GF balsamic vinagrette. We get the family fries too, which have no gluten but are fried in oil with other things that do, so if you're super-sensitive you may want to skip the fries. I'm quite sensitive, and I'm almost always fine. Our friends who accompany us love the sandwiches. The staff is really helpful and friendly. Love this place -- it's one of our regular go-to's in Davis.
Yes
Salads are awesome but if you are extremely hungry, don't expect much bang for your bucks here. For protein, only their chicken and turkey are quoted to be gluten free but not their award winning tri tip. And you only get a mere 3 oz of meat if you are lucky and sides are additional.
Has gluten free menu choices
Lots of yummy options.
