the staff was super friendly despite how crowded it was this morning. I stuck with something simply, a loaded hashbrown, and I ordered it without toast despite there being gluten-free bread. the loaded hashbrown comes with gravy and, unfortunately, that's not gluten-free, but the meal was still delicious! I haven't gotten sick so far but, granted, I ate about an hour ago so any symptoms haven't popped up yet. regardless, it was still delicious and satisfied my craving for hashbrowns!
No, this restaurant shares gluten products in their kitchen with gluten-free products. There was only one mention of swapping bread with gluten-free bread at the bottom, in the back of the laminated menu & they charge you extra for it. The french toast was undercooked, and not fully covered from the egg - there were few banana & strawberry slices with a canned whipped cream. I make better GF french toast with homemade berry sauce and whipped cream at home. $17 for two little pieces of GF toast screams stingy. Plus a LONG line waiting. Will not return.
Gf menu is an online only download off their website. They have gf toast/buns available for upcharge but you must order in person or call in (can't upcharge in their online ordering system). Get a salad side or fresh fruit but not chips because they are fresh cut and fried in house and will be contaminated.
Ordered twice so far, one breakfast and one lunch. They double checked my order once I explained and were polite. Food was excellent. Denver omelette and a fancy grilled cheese. Everyone in my party really enjoyed their food as well.
Unfortunately, I have to give this restaurant 2 stars. I ordered the protein wrap scramble (as listed on their gf menu). I was served a protein wrap. I was concerned because the purpose of the protein wrap “scramble” was to get rid of the “wrap.” Before eating I asked a waiter about it, and they assured me it was gluten free. Still not comfortable, I asked someone else and the chef came out and said the wraps are not gluten free and that a mistake was made. They brought me out the gf protein wrap scramble and it was tasty, and I did not get a reaction. While everyone was friendly and kind, I’d say order something safe or don’t come here at all
Great place for breakfast. They have gluten free bread so I had avocado toast and gf hash browns. Delicious!!
Absolutely delicious breakfast! Gluten free toast available, along with standard diner breakfast fare. Not sure about precautions for cross contaminations. I do not have an allergy & am not extreme sensitive to cross contaminations, so I usually don't ask. But the restaurant was lovely, staff was friendly, and the service was great! Would recommend!!
Advertise having gluten-free options. Don’t risk it! Not friendly for gluten intolerant or celiac’s. Not educated on ALL ways cross contamination can happen, could care a less. As we were walking in a customer walking out said “enter at your own risk”! Should have taken that as a sign. Became glutenized!! With scrambled eggs and bacon. Never going back.
Food was great and so was the service! I got a Reuben with hashbrowns on GF bread and it was so good!
Unfortunately I was glutened here last weekend. I had a burger on gluten-free bread (untoasted) and their chips, which were represented to be gluten-free. They do fry their potato chips, so that may be where it happened, even though I asked the waitress if it was in a dedicated fryer. She didn't seem extremely knowledgeable throughout the ordering process. I would note that there are national menu has gluten-free items identified on it, but this local menu does not; she verbally said that the same items were gluten-free at their location as well, though. If I do go back, I will get a salad or an omelette. ☹
We went on Sunday for brunch and they were a little busy, but not crazy. Our waitress did not even know they had a gluten free menu, but another waitress brought it over. All my waitress could tell me was they have GF bread they could sub. As our waitress did not really understand gluten free, I played it safe with the Big Bite Breakfast (scrambled eggs, bacon, fruit, and GF toast). I did not have a reaction or get sick, but not sure I will go back.
