Many Bubba Gump locations no longer offer a gluten-free menu
Waitstaff were very understanding of my allergy & I had a shrimp cocktail- about the safest choice possible. I have not gotten sick.

They label items as “gluten sensitive” and they are pretty in top of avoiding cross contamination. There are GF options, but not a huge selection in my opinion. Still good though.

No dedicated GF menu but items are marked as "GS". I felt they did a decent job trying to be accommodating at least There were several options, not a ton and thankful they weren't all salad lol

They didn't have a lot of kids items. My child is pretty grown up in taste and so that menu had some choices for her. She's quite sensitive and had no issues.

I would not recommend this establishment. I do not think the server I had took my allergy statement very seriously. After a week in Gatlinburg, this was by far the worst meal I had. I ordered sides to eliminate chance of contamination and felt very sick the next day, likely from contamination. The food was also not good and the seafood was overcooked and rubbery.

They have everything labeled GS (gluten sensitive) and it is very clear. I got the baja ceviche (it’s an appetizer) as my meal and it was delicious! The staff also was absolutely amazing!

They don’t have a gf menu, it’s gluten sensitive. However, speak with manager when ordering and she will help. I have shrimp and crab in a dish, didn’t want gf bun. Also fries are gf. I am celiac and no problem and food was delicious.

Our server wasn't sure about GF items but stated that they are not a GF environment and the menu items are 'gluten sensitive' rather than gluten free. I decided to take the risk as I'd seen positive reviews. After ordering the manager came over to assure me they would take precautions as my order was flagged as gluten allergy. I had jenny's surf and turf (grilled salmon and shrimp with steamed rice and broccoli) thinking this was the safest option. It was delicious but unfortunately I was unwell afterwards so there must have been cross contamination somewhere. Maybe I was just unlucky but I wouldn't recommend for celiac. A shame because the food was really yummy.

We felt like it was bit pricey for what you get but we were in Destin looking for seafood and they have GF seafood options. Pretty tasty. Staff was familiar with what menu options were GF. We had the surf and turf as well as the Bourbon St Mahi Mahi with shrimp. Over the past couple years we’ve eaten there a few times now. No issues after the meal.

I have been to about 6 different restaurants of this chain and always have a great time and dinner. There are only 5 different dishes available which are gluten free including salmon, ribeye, Mahi mahi and shrimp. They are all labeled Gluten free on the menu and they are all great. Staff understands about gluten free and I have never had any problems. I would give it 5 stars if it had more options.

Ordered the Chicken/Strawberry Salad. Was very good and had no issues whatsoever. Small selection of GF items but items were clearly marked on menu and server seemed knowledgeable on ensuring there would be no cross contact.
One thing to note was that my salad didn’t come out w/ chicken on it despite it clearly being written on the menu. Then they tried to upcharge me, odd. Weird; but hey, figured I’d mention it.

I got the impossible burger with a lettuce wrap and a side salad. Did not have a reaction! EXPENSIVE. For that meal and a drink was $40.00 It was okay, I’d go back if I didn’t have somewhere else safe to eat, but wasn’t great.

I told them my allergy and they were very cautious. We came here to do the cheesy touristy meal. We had the ceviche and mahi mahi with shrimp. The ceviche was okay, what you would expect. I couldn’t eat the chips so I ate it by itself. Our mains were over cooked - fish was dry, shrimp was dry. Wouldn’t recommend it for the price. You can find way better options elsewhere.

Our waitress was absolutely fantastic! It was a super busy weekend and she made sure to double check everything since she understood the importance of food restrictions and allergies.
Edit**
Came back here 2022 and ate here twice with no issues. The waiter was super helpful and double checked everything, And it was so good that I came back again the same weekend since there’s not too many places to eat in Gatlinburg.
Update for 2023- came back, sooo good and safe.

They have gluten sensitive items listed on menu. The waitress said the fries were fried in a separate fryer but I was a little nervous to try it. I ended up getting the grilled shrimp and salmon with rice and broccoli. Was super good and didn’t get sick!

Their fries, even though labeled with a “GS” (which seems to be the norm symbol here at Universal) is not actually gluten free; they share the fryer with other fried items.
I wasn’t impressed with that meal, and what my glutinous family ordered truly looked like it came out of a box and into a fryer đ˘.
The server did take my salad off our ticket, which was nice, just because whoever made it…totally drowned it with dressing.

Being Celiac with a dairy intolerance there were 3 options for me on the menu to choose from. There are several items on the menu listed "GS" for gluten sensitive, most of which I don't think would be appropriate for Celiacs due to cross contamination, however the server said they follow cross contamination precautions if the order is marked as an allergy. I ordered the salmon and broccoli and didn't get sick, but I also took a gluten blocker just in case of mild cross contamination. The salmon was over handled and over cooked, and some of the broccoli was over steamed and some raw and cold. The meal didn't taste the best but I didn't get sick so that's a win for me. As for the restaurant itself, the clientele were loud and raucous and the waitstaff very busy. We weren't informed about the sign on the table to get assistance and waited a while to get a condiment and get a drink refill, but once we figured out the sign service was good.

Both my kids (3 and 5 y/o) have Celiac. There were very little gluten free options on the menu, but the managers were very accommodating. They made separate grilled chicken and shrimp with fruit and broccoli for our kids as kids meals. We were told the chef was notified and their food was prepared fully separately. Very accommodating.

Very good! Lots of options and knowledgeable staff. Menu isn’t marked but the staff can tell you what is/isn’t available gluten free. I had Jennys surf and turf which was grilled salmon and grilled shrimp (no turf lol) with, I think, a butter glaze. A side of perfectly cooked broccoli and some jasmine rice. My son had grilled mahi mahi and mashed potatoes. His potatoes were really flavorful - cheesy or seasoned idk but really good. His was supposed to come with a carrots that the server said were not gluten free. Fun atmosphere and everything was excellent

The server was educated on exactly which items could be prepared gluten free. My daughter has celiac. The fries are able to be prepared GF but they will come with no seasoning. They had mahi mahi and at least 5 other gluten free menu items besides the salads. The items are not marked gluten free on the menu but the staff is well prepared.

I got the Bourbon Street Mahi Mahi
(Charbroiled Cajun spiced Mahi Mahi with Bourbon Sauce and Grilled Shrimp, served over Mashed Potatoes). Very good, no issues.
Waitress seemed somewhat knowledgeable hence the 4 stars and not 5; however, she mentioned she didn't know much about GF (in regards to the sides the main dishes come with) but when she put in my order it would let her know if anything wasn't safe. She knew enough to tell me 5 or 6 things that were safe.. When I called prior to visiting, the host seemed knowledgeable and told me how to order.

My waiter got the manager as soon as I inquired about GF. The manager pointed to 2 or 3 things I could eat on the menu. The manager communicated with the chef to cook my food safely. We asked to make sure it was not CC on the grill and he assured it wasn’t. I got the Maker’s Mark glazed salmon that came with white rice and broccoli. The glaze had a good flavor but the salmon was over cooked. I did not get sick, which is always a win for me! 5 stars for no gluten CC but I’d give it less stars for the amount of selection. Unless you like salmon or mahi mahi, don’t go here.

I took my boyfriend here because he had never been before. They currently do not have a gluten free menu, however the servers seemed very knowledgeable on gluten allergies. As he started listing off a few things I could have that were gluten free. I got the cheeseburger but on a lettuce wrap and steamed broccoli. I had the server verify the kitchen could make the cheeseburger safely. The manager brought out my food. Delicious! Didn’t get sick!

We had accidental fish and shrimp. Manager came to the table to discuss what we could order. My daughter is celiac and dairy free so we both ordered the accidental fish and shrimp, but we ordered hers without the butter. It initially came out wrong and we had to send hers back and wait for a new one to be made. My older daughter and I were finished with our food before my younger daughter’s food came out. The food was delicious though. And my youngest daughter said it was definitely worth the wait.

A manager had to assist with what few items were able to be made gf. (Salad, salmon and their flounder dish only.) It tasted good, but I did have issues afterwards, so I’m not very confident in their gf practices.

They only have a few items on their menu, so I asked them to make the Shrimp Scampi with mashed potatoes instead of the linguini. I explained my “gluten allergy” and the waitress assured me that the sauce was safe. However- It came out with a giant piece of Garlic bread stuffed in the potatoes. Clearly few of them have an idea about what gluten is, let alone how to prevent cross contamination. The manager fixed it but I wouldn’t come back.
No
The menu was marked with a “G” for gluten safe. They had 4-5 menu items. My meal was delicious!! It was fish and shrimp on rice with a side sauce, all gluten-free!! It was so nice to go to a restaurant and order a meal and get to eat the whole thing! So good and I was full! The other menu items were an appetizer, a couple salads, and the rest were main courses. Their menu is on their website, so you can see it before you visit. Enjoy!
Yes
Had a few dishes marked as gluten sensitive items. Got the Accidental Fish and Shrimp, the server stated it would be made away and the manager would bring it to me. Well, she brought and said she didn’t want me to have to wait. I proceed with eating and a manager pops up all worried and says that it wasn’t the right dish. (Made away from everything, made to avoid contamination) He looked anxious and took it and brought another that didn’t taste the same, the second serving had like no seasoning. Not sure what went on there, but the server looked nervous throughout the rest of the meal. I don’t think I reacted, but I wouldn’t feel too safe going back. Too much risk.
Menu marked for gluten sensitive.
Some gluten free options, but not good for dairy free. Staff didnt seem very knowledgeable and it took the kitchen 45mins to let me know that i couldn't have the rice, as it contained dairy. I wouldn't return.
I'm celiac. This place just didn't want to accommodate me. CYA comments in menu stating basically to order and eat at own risk. No guarantees. Our server was clueless. Management called in, tried to assist but busy multitasking. I felt 3rd class. Good thing I'm used to these types of places and ordered carefully with no issues. But was scared for hours with thoughts of contamination. I won't waste my time with them again. They lost not only me but a table.
I went here looking for something I could eat safely, but the waiter informed me that they dont have anything gluten free, only “gluten sensitive”. He said everything would probably be cross contaminated as there is a lot of gluten in the kitchen. I ended up going across the street to islands instead. Not sure if they changed their policy or what, but it doesn’t seem like a safe place to eat if you’re gluten free.
Limited gf menu if you don’t like fish but the waitress was super helpful. Delicious dinner of chicken and rice
