GF menu. Breakfast, lunch and dinner. Larry or waiter was great told me chips are cross contaminated as they are fried in the same fryer as gluten items, so no chips and salsa here that’s why the four star. Larry seemed confident in all other items being safe.
Last week I traveled thru Houston and ate here. It was great. The staff I talked to was very knowledgeable and concerned for people with gluten issues. During both visits the staff told me exactly what I could order and not get sick. They were correct. I had chicken taco with corn tortilla with beans and rice. Tasted good. No issues afterward. I will return as a customer and recommend to a friend.
They have a good chicken tortilla soup and a couple of salads. Everything else is $20 or more. The chips are absolutely horrible. You can ask for gluten free chips but I wouldn't bother.
Imagine my thrill at being able to eat breakfast at an airport. They have breakfast tacos and if you tell them that you cannot eat gluten, not only do they make them on corn tortillas, but the staff changes their gloves and take extra precautions so that they are safe. I tested my bacon egg and cheese tacos with my Nima sensor, and everything came back good.
This place is hit or miss when it comes to eating safely. The first time I ate here was great. My food came out with a "GF" label and the manager came to check on me when my food was served. The following two times I came here the staff didn't really seem knowledgeable or particularly concerned, they gave me the wrong tortillas from the grill, and nobody oversaw that my food was actually prepared properly. I've been sickened here twice.
Separate menu, kitchen manager always comes to check on my order/answer questions, food comes out with gf pick/flag. Never been sick. A side note- the queso is not listed bc it couldn’t be confirmed all the way down the line, but I always get it and I’m crazy sensitive. Also the gf chips are not very good, you might bring your own if you want the salsa/queso, but everything else is delicious!
My celiac daughter ate lunch today with no issues. The server was knowledgeable when i asked if chips were safe to eat. They are NOT. He said they were fried with other items so not safe. The gluten free menu was easy to read and the dish came out of kitchen marked “gluten free”. I wish they did what other restaurants do and fry chips first thing in morning and save for celiacs!
Chips not GF. All manager offered me was fish... In an airport. Employee not knowledgeable, asked if I wanted it fried. Haven't gotten sick though! Have angry orchard, tho so that's something
Love this place they always make the best gluten free chicken tacos! The rice and beans are so tasty! The breakfast burrito bowl is amazing as well!! Been eating here for years and never been ill and the staff is so kind!
Had dinner tonight and brought our grandson who has just been diagnosed with celiac disease. Couldn’t ask for better service or more attention. Three different individuals came by and explained everything. He wanted a crispy taco but because they do not have a designated fryer this was not possible. However, they talked not only to me but to him. He asked for the taco ingredients and told them he would eat them with the baked chips he was brought. When the food came all the ingredients (beef, cheese, lettuce, & tomatoes) were all on separate plates. Before bringing the queso, our server checked to make certain it was gluten-free. Definitely impressed with this restaurant as we begin this journey with our grandson.
very good food! the waiter said that they have a separate preparation space for gluten free food and take extra precaution to avoid cross contamination. they have baked chips as a gluten free option! i recommend the chicken fajitas which come with soft corn tortillas
Waiter was knowledgeable and gave me confidence that they could handle my extreme celiac gluten sensitivity. I had the best Mexican food I have ever eaten. I ordered the enchiladas and baked chips. Really, really good. Big portion! I enjoyed my experience and did not get sick. Thumbs up!!!
Staff was great. Had a gluten free menu with usual disclaimer. Tacos came out with a tag that said prepared gluten free. After eating the tacos, I was very sick. Won’t be eating here again.
at gate c19 was able to have the steak fajitas no seasonings chef came out and spoke to me very good. this is the Mexican cantina
There is a to-go window if you need to pick up something quickly and they are pretty good about fixing it fast. This is my go-to place at DFW. The sky tram makes it easy to get to this terminal fairly fast so I normally go here from all other terminals instead of trying to figure out something closer to my actual gate.
Very good food. A supervisor even came out to double check my order. Even had a pick that said " Prepared Gluten Free" stuck in my chicken. Will definitely be back!
The staff was knowledgeable about their gluten free menu and were able to answer all of my questions. The portion sizes are big. The manager, Michael, came out after our meal and checked on us to see that we enjoyed our meal and were satisfied with the service. He told me that they take gluten free requests very seriously.
when flying restaraunts are often a hit or a miss. all I asked for is that I not be sick after eating. chicken fajitas with corn tortillas fit the bill. tasted great, filled me up, now on to the next airport!
very fast and excellent service! Good was very good. HE menu that had about 12 options on it.
Have celiac disease and have eaten here many times. Food comes out separately and have had no issues. They also will do baked chips. They have a separate gluten free menu and are knowledgeable. One of favorite places for Tex mex!
Very limited gluten free menu. Neither the chips nor the fajita meat are gluten free. Gluten free options include tacos and chicken on corn tortillas. Disappointed in the gluten Free Tex-Mex options.
Gluten-Free but Greasy This busy downtown location does have a separate GF menu, special handling in the kitchen and GF meals come marked with a little wooden stake. Know that their regular chips are NOT GF. They have baked chips that you have to ask for and they are different, not very delicious. There is variety on the menu. I had the enchilada meal with beans and rice, all of which were greasy and what I considered fast-food quality.
Good selection of food, dedicated menu, no GF beer though. Staff (even at the bar) was careful and understood.
I am pretty sensitive to gluten/dairy, and eat here an got sick.
I have eaten here numerous times and never been sick. They have a gluten free menu and they have baked chips. the food comes with a little gluten free stick most times and if not i just confirm. i have eaten at other locations and been just fine and i am very sensitive.
Very Knowledgeable staff. Sat at the bar, ordered off of the gf menu. Extremely fast service. I will be back when next at DFW.
