Finally fine French cuisine which is absolutely gluten free! Pricey but worth every euro. Vast selection and the maitre d’ speaks beautiful English. I highly recommend this experience.
Ate at Saotico during a work trip to Paris and was thrilled by the quality of the food and service, as well as the awareness of gluten free/cross contamination etc. I am a very sensitive celiac and I had no problems here. On the contrary, I had a delightful meal. The server explained how they can modify almost anything on the menu to be GF and gave guidance. this will be my main GF destination in Paris in the future.
Nice place with very friendly waiters who know what about we are talking when we speak about coeliac disease and others allergy because some of them suffer similar problems. Good quality food and not too expensive. I really enjoy my evening in that restaurant.
Very accommodating and friendly staff. I have several other food restrictions besides gluten and they said no problem and were able to safely adjust all menu items. Food was amazing, highly recommend!!
The owner is gluten free. This was the first time in three nights that I didn’t go to bed with a massive stomach issue - with outstanding food to boot. Don’t skip dessert! Call ahead!
This place is a gem. It was no doubt the best meal I had in Paris. Most dishes are already gluten free and they can accommodate dairy free as well. The owner has celiac and was able to make recommendations on how to modify the dessert. For my appetizer, I had the foie gras with the foie gras terrine and it was divine. For my main, I had the monkfish. The fish was cooked perfectly and the potatoes that came with it was like nothing I’ve ever had. For dessert, I had a meringue cake with sorbet, berries, and berry sauce. Dinner was just a wonderful experience.
Excellent food, great service and perfect for gluten free dining!
Awesome meal. Very accommodating. Will be back.
The owner also has celiac disease, which put us at ease. We had a very nice meal and I encourage you to patronize this restaurant!
The owner is celiac and goes above and beyond to find a solution for you. They can make pretty much everything (minus things with bread) gluten free if you ask. The food was delicious and the ambiance was cute as well. I would definitely recommend visiting this spot on your trip to Paris!
Easily the safest and best meal we had in Paris. The manager (owner?) also has Celiac disease, and when I informed my waiter, he called her over and she handled the rest of the ordering process. She checked in several times to make sure everything was correct. The food was wonderful—I had the lamb chops and the goat cheese toast (minus toast, of course). Both were very good. For dessert, there were several options (Creme brûlée, meringue cake, and I think a couple others). I chose the meringue, which came with a small scoop each of raspberry sorbet and vanilla ice cream. The entire thing was a gorgeous tower, topped with whipped cream, founded on the crunchy, vanilla meringue, and surrounded by three raspberries and a swirl of raspberry and vanilla sauces. I would eat another right now if I could. The food was scrumptious, the service was wonderful, the environment was safe.
You can dine with confidence here. As mentioned in previous reviews, owner has celiac and was extremely helpful For my wife and I. My wife has celiac and a dairy allergy and they were able to accommodate our needs with appetizers, entrées, plus desserts! Fantastic meals, friendly attentive service, and great wine pairings. We will return next time in Paris, no doubt.
The food was delicious and the manager came out to go over everything that can be made gluten free. She has celiac and gave me some helpful tips. I didn't get sick and would highly recommend eating here. It was probably my bet meal in Paris.
Best meal we had in Paris! The person who took our order has the same allergies! Was able to have every course. Desert was delicious! Highly recommend!!
Staff was friendly and knowledgeable, the owner took our order and made some great suggestions, as did her chef. A fantastic place ! Especially if you don’t speak any French and most definitely for Celiacs . Merci beaucoup!
Excellent! The proprietor is Celiac, so completely understands. I would absolutely return if ever I return to Paris!
The ambience is charming & romantic. The hostess who I imagine was the owner is friendly and attentive. When I asked if my meal selection was gluten free, she said kindly and assuringly “it will be”! The best was the meal itself which was uncompromisingly delicious - one of the best meals I’ve had! The steak was perfect and prepared with tender buttery shallots with scalloped potatoes & cheese. The wine pairing she suggested was perfect. Our meal ended with the waiter bringing a little nibble for dessert which I passed on because of gluten. It was fine for my dining companion ... Once she realized she quickly asked for a couple meringues which were a nice finish to the meal. Wonderful experienced all around!!!
Excellent!!! Owner has celiac and is very knowledgeable!
This wonderful restaurant makes a great asparagus and prosciutto appetizer, confit de canard (duck leg), and frozen coconut nougat dessert. The service was also excellent, and they took great care to give me the nougat without a cookie, while giving my friend a cookie. Absolutely first rate!
Great people, super nice owner!
Great little restaurant with very good food. Owner could speak English which was helpful since I know very little French. She explained that she can't eat gluten either and advised me on what I could eat. I had the duck confit and it was good. The potatoes served with the duck were also amazing. Highly recommend!!!
A dream come true for a guy with celiacs. Our waitress has celiacs herself and made sure I got amazing French food without getting sick. I had the Duck Confit and it was delicious. Highly recommend.
Such amazing food! The staff was nice and really gave the French dinning experience. There were a lot of gluten free options and I didn't feel limited with my dessert choices! If you are vegan though this may not be the best place to go as there is a lot of meet and dairy in there food. I got the salmon with veggies and it was cooked to perfection! The only thing was that there was no gluten free bread substitutions for the table bread or other glutenous dishes. Still I highly recommend trying this place because they made up for that with the amazing food!!
Amazing food. Attentive staff.
I could not say more positive things about this place. My boyfriend has Celiac and this Was our last meal in Paris. Had been having issues with cross contamination and needed to go to a place where they understood the issue. The EXTREMELY chic manager not only ensured we would be safe but the the dishes were delicious and well presented, and the service was incomparable. Will be returning to Paris soon and this this place is on the top of our list
We ate here twice it was so good! Family owned and operated. The mom has celiac, so they know what they are doing. Great food, wine and ambience!
We traveled in Europe for a month and this was by far my favorite meal. So many times gluten free options are bland and boring. That is definitely not the case at Le Saotico. We spoke with the owner and the Chef and they assured us we were in good hands. The Chef was able to adjust the menu items I chose so that they were Gluten Free and safe for me! If we are in Paris again we will definitely be back for more! The Duck Confit, Escargot and Foie Gras are amazing!
Over a Month in Europe and this was by far the BEST meal we've had! Best part was they had many options Gluten Free! They understood how important it was too. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
The owner was so welcoming and gracious and the food was excellent. Everything we had was the best of our French experience and our daughters gluten intolerance was seamlessly addressed. If you want a warm and tasty neighborhood meal, this is the place. We will be back.
Amazing authentic French food with the ability to make anything on the menu gluten free. Not a tourist spot so it's great to get away from the overwhelming scene. Atmosphere is quant and cozy. Staff is extremely friendly and helpful! Would 100% go back again!
We had a great experience here on June 2, 2017. My daughter and I are both Celiac. We had an early reservation, and the chef pulled double-duty as our server. The food was delicious and elegant...and most importantly, SAFE. Thank you for taking such good care of us!
Lovely restaurant with great service. As previously noted, one of the owners is celiac and her husband is the chef, so they are very helpful and knowledgeable! Food was excellent!!
Absolutely fantastic service, knowledgeable staff, and most importantly excellent food. I ate here two nights in a row and would keep going back if I weren't leaving Paris. I felt safe eating there because the person that seated me was also celiac and she assured me I was safe. Go. Eat. It's wonderful.
Great food with most of menu adaptable to celiac. They were very knowledgeable about gluten and safe about cross contamination. I had a wonderful time here and I recommend the duck confit!
Excellent cuisine! We had the burgundy snails appetizer and lamb chop for main dish. An amazing bottle of wine, a bottle of sparkling water then finished off the night with a crème brûlée. All this was less than 100 euros and was ABSOLUTELY gluten free. It helps the owner is celiac too. Everyone was friendly, and music overhead was a Jack Johnson album that set the perfect tone for the evening.
Really delicious. They seemed to understand gluten free. I didn't get sick and I have celiac so that works for me.
They were very accommodating for my gluten free and dairy free needs. The owner went over everything in detail with me to be sure it met my needs and the food was really delicious.
Fantastic place to dine in Paris. Very knowledgable and accommodating to celiac/ gluten sensitive people. Great food, charming restaurant - all while being safe from exposure.
The owner has celiac so anything on the menu can be made gluten-free if you just ask. The food was absolutely delicious. We had the foie gras, salmon tartar, veal and duck confit. All was more delicious than the last. Highly recommend. Near the Opera, so in a cute area as well.
Owner has celiac and will make most option gluten free with a few adjustment. Contamination is not a problem. The duck confit was excellent Most staff speak English and will get the owner if needed. Highly recommend.
The owner is celiac and she's amazing. She speaks such great English and the food is outstanding. I highly recommend this restaurant and the prices are amazing. Go now!
Anna is wonderful and a fellow celiac! Food is exceptional, and she is willing to explain everything in English or French. Highly recommend that if you wish to try the fois gras, you hit a gluten free bakery and bring your own bread. Totally acceptable. But it's just as good eaten without!
Traditional French bistro. Very knowledgeable staff, just ask and will completely accommodate. Food was excellent and service was very friendly and helpful (and speaks English), though it was a bit slow (even for Paris). Duck Confit was especially excellent!
