Got cross contaminated. They said it was okay and not a concern. Should have been more cautious- ruined last day of vacation

Staff had excellent knowledge of menu and meals that could be made GF/substitutions. They had fresh made gluten free pasta and cauliflower crust for pizza! I had to double check about the crust because it tasted SO GOOD I did not believe it to be GF. Also has crème brûlée for GF dessert option.
Food was delicious and felt great afterwards!

This was the best gluten free experience in the San Juan area on my trip. They could sub GF pasta for any pasta dish. They have cauliflower pizza. The waiter also seemed knowledgeable and was able to answer what dishes could be made gluten free. For example, I assumed the filet dish would be gluten free but he informed me the sauce in the filet was not but I just ordered it without the sauce. All the food was delicious. Many gluten free options.

We had the gluten free version of the chicken carbonara and the roasted vegetables. First, it was safe for our celiac that has to eat gluten free. Waitstaff was very knowledgeable. As far as the taste, it was more of a chicken Alfredo with some much bacon, it was almost to salty to eat. Ok, but not great. Vegetables were great.

Wonderful! Very knowledgeable staff and lots of options. They had gluten free pasta cooked in separate pans. I heard later they had gluten free pizza dough. Confirmed by locals to be the best gluten friendly place on the island.

I asked the waitress if the GF pasta was cooked in the same water as the regular pasta and she assured me that it wasn’t, so I had it and didn’t get sick (but I don’t always get sick if I am glutened).
Two nights later, I came back, asked the same question and I was told that the GF pasta WAS cooked in the same water as the regular pasta. I was surprised, so I told the waiter what they told me two nights earlier and asked him to check with the kitchen. He checked and confirmed that the kitchen told him that the GF pasta IS cooked with the regular pasta.
I didn’t order it, but asked to speak to a manager. The manager said that the GF was cooked separately, but that wasn’t always the case, so she would check. She never came back.
I don’t want this review to prevent people from coming here for GF. I only posted this to advise that you ask the questions and make your own decision based on the confidence you have in the answers. It does sound like the GF pasta is supposed to be cooked separately, but if they can’t answer the question consistently, where is the pasta actually cooked?

Paper menu is clearly marked what is gluten free or what can be prepared GF. Had GF Penne pasta with sauce chicken and bacon - amazing. Crème Brûlée for dessert. Dinner portion was large enough for two people. Service was great.

I would definitely recommend eating here! Their menu is clearly marked (online it’s not marked, but at the physical menu clearly states what can be made gluten free and vegetarian). All of the dishes in the buratta section can be made gluten free as well as two of the risottos, and some of the salads. All of the pastas can be made with gluten free rigatoni for a $5 upcharge. The pasta is cooked in a separate pot from the regular pasta. Be aware that the vegan pasta (which is also gluten free and looks like spaghetti) is also cooked in that same pot. I found a piece in my pasta dish and thought that my pasta had been cooked in the same water as regular pasta. After speaking to my server who then checked with the kitchen, the manager came over and explained that while the pieces of vegan pasta shouldn’t have been in my dish, the pasta was gluten free so I hadn’t been glutened. She then had the kitchen remake my dish and comped my meal. Both she and the server dealt with the situation with genuine kindness and compassion, rather than being dismissive. The way that was handled actually gave me a lot more faith in their allergen precautions than I originally had when coming in. My pasta was very good (my boyfriend tried it and thought it was one of the better gluten free pastas I’ve ordered) and the service was great.

Beautiful little open-air Italian place right next to La Concha Resort where we were staying. Most pasta dishes can be made gluten free with substituted gf rigatoni pasta. I got the farfalle al limoncello and it was DECADENT. So delicious and employees were great about gluten and celiac stuff. Didn’t get sick! ✌

Have gluten free pasta available on the menu for a small up-charge on many of the dishes. GF pasta is cooked separately and was a hit with our celiac child.
Type of GF pasta seems to vary nightly but servers were very helpful

The had gluten free pasta (for an $8 upcharge!) I ordered it with the bolognese sauce and it wasn’t very good. Just bland and flavorless. Added a bunch of red pepper and salt to give it something.

Told the server about my celiacs and she said the pasta was the best bet. I got the penne dish (came with rotini but i figured that was just because it was gluten free) and it was so good and i didnt have a reaction. Highly recommend

Good experience! I had originally ordered a risotto dish after being told all of the risotto dishes were GF. Waitress came out a while later and said the chef was not 100% so they suggested I change my order.

The waiter was brutally honest and said the best bet was to do the gf pasta - and It was some of the best pasta I had ever had. The waiter was very nice and seemed knowledgeable. Would definitely reccomend. We tried 3 other places before this until we landed on this one.

My waiter was very helpful when ordering! I’m also dairy free so he made sure my steamed vegetables were plain and no butter on my steak! It was very good!

The server said that he would tell the chef about any allergies which seemed like a good start. He himself wasn’t very knowledgeable about gluten but as long as the kitchen is, I’m usually ok with that. However, my steak salad (only ingredients steak, tomatoes, cheese, and greens) came out covered in a gluten sauce, which I noticed at the last moment thankfully before I ate any. The server was apologetic but I don’t know how to explain the potentially serious mixup on something as simple as a salad. It was not busy.

Most pasta dishes can be substituted with gluten-free penne pasta. I had the Penne alla Stolichnaya. It was good, pasta was a little too firm but was overall good.

Had the gluten free pasta. Puttanesca sauce. Delish.

I had prosciutto with mozzarella and tomatoes. They said it was gluten free - which no doubt those ingredients should be fine - but I still ended up really sick afterwards. This is an Italian venue with mainly pizza and pasta so I definitely risked it with the environment/cross contamination. Great venue. Sadly, not safe for celiacs.

Ordered the gluten free pasta, not sure if it was the (delicious) sauce or what but I got very, very sick. We had to take a taxi back to the hotel instead of walking I was so sick. Definitely exercise caution at this place.
