My daughter with Celiacs got the peel and eat shrimp. We alerted the waiter that it was an allergy and he said he would notify the kitchen. She enjoyed her shrimp and did not get sick.

Waiter was honest. Gluten free menu really does not mean gluten free. They said the fish dip and crab dip are gluten free served with tortillas but they go into a shared fryer. Chicken wings go in fryer. There really wasn’t much safe except raw or steamed shrimp or the usual salad

I've eaten here multiple times I always get the steak potato or rice and veggies and the flourless chocolate cake is so good. No issues afterwards

Was pleasantly surprised by our meal here. There is a guide they give you on what would be gluten free or how they can modify things. You actually have a lot of options when you read through it. I had the catch of the day and the side salad that came with it was so fresh! The food coming out of that kitchen was really good and fresh, more so than I was expecting from looking at the place. No issues the next day

This is an excellent place to eat. They have a gluten free menu, which has lots of options. The post below that it was all the cant’s isn’t an accurate statement. They tell you you can’t have sandwiches or platters , but all the rest is options and excellent. I wish posted a picture of the menu. We ate there twice. Highly recommend. They also serve breakfast, which we plan to check out.

Had the Caribbean special - amazing. My wife enjoyed the house salad with grilled shrimp. Staff seemed knowledgeable, but the menu isn’t labeled. Overall great experience!

The regular menu does not have any GF notations, but our server seemed knowledgeable about which items were safe for me to eat. She indicated that many items could be made gluten free, and there was a laminated sheet that she gave me that said which items were gluten free or what substitutions to ask for to make an item gluten free.
I went with the Pico de Gallo - which was rice, black beans, grilled mahi-mahi, and pico de gallo. It was so delicious and super filling!

They have a gluten free list. On the list was a nacho option. I ordered this and it came without chips as the chips were fried with gluten containing items. They were at least aware of cross contamination, however a plate of cheese is not exactly a gluten free option. The waiter proceeded to be snarky when I asked if there were supposed to be corn tortilla chips with nachos and let me know that I ordered it that way. Very poor service and poor gluten free accommodations.

Ordered a salad. Asked to sub fried chicken that came on salad with grilled chicken instead. Double checked server understood it was GRILLED since I could not have breaded fried chicken. Salad came out with fried chicken. Re explained it was an allergy. Sent it back. Waited. Salad came back out with grilled blackened chicken on top. Halfway through eating the salad I started finding bits of fried chicken in salad. Kitchen staff simply pulled fried chicken off and did not remake the salad. By this time everyone in my party was done eating so I just gave up and asked for the check.

If you love fresh seafood, Island Fish Co is the way to go. I ordered the Caribbean Special - grouper with mango salsa, black beans and rice. Super tasty! No GF buns or anything like that, but you could always bring your own and make a sandwich.

Has a water view great at sunset. I had the crab dip and it was yummy. The flourless chocolate cake wasn’t very good. Reminds me of pf changs chocolate dome- just a hunk of chocolate and no cake. I had the BBQ shrimp and it was edible but not great.

The restaurant was very dirty. The waitress could not answer any questions. No gluten free buns. Fryer isn't dedicated. Disappointed that we wasted a meal there.

A lot of options! Great smoked fish dip, ask for veggies instead of crackers. BBQ shrimp meal was amazing, bacon wrapped, cheese topped BBQ shrimp with rice and broccoli! Server very understanding of precautions to take. Very well priced!

We had a great dinner. Our waitress was extremely knowledgeable about the gluten free options. They have a separate menu with the gluten free options. They even had a delicious gluten free flourless chocolate cake for dessert! Nice atmosphere... highly recommend.

Have a reference guide for what can be made GF. Solid meal, nothing special but it was safe.
Yes
Many gf seafood options. No buns, bread or pasta. The waiter was very good about checking menu items. Fresh fish was very good.
We stopped here on our way to our resort late last night, drawn there by the tiki lights along the backside. Nice ambiance under the tiki hut. Service was impeccable, even for as late as it was! They have gluten free buns here so I was able to have any one of their delicious sandwiches. I chose their grouper Ruben. MmmmYum. And LOVE their mashed potatoes!
Yes
Restaurant has a great atmosphere, but I didn't trust their gluten free menu. Was going to order the spinach dip with tortilla chips and asked how the chips were cooked, they are cooked in the same oil as all the other fried food. Ordered the Mahi Mahi with rice and veggies. It was okay, but didn't have a lot of confidence in the place and should have gone with that feeling and not eaten - was sick later. They were all nice there, but a very busy place, I think the waitress thought of it more as a dietary decision to be gluten free and not medical so she didn't take the time to be careful.
No
The food was mediocre but plentiful. Wait staff was young and seemed unreliable in their knowledge of what is gluten free. We will never return.
Menu impossible to decipher. Nice views but food was not good. Burgers “without the bun”.
Gf menu was just a list of things you could not eat and random other things. It was quite confusing. When the food arrived it included French fries which were not gf in the same plate as the other food.
We dined with a large group here while on vacation. Enjoyed shipwreck grouper which was excellent in flavour and the portion was huge!! There was a little bit of a language barrier with our waiter which made me very nervous, but he guaranteed that my meal would be safe to eat. Celiacs can't take such chances so I asked a different waitress on my way to the washroom, hahaha!! I felt better after she explained their kitchen staff being very aware about cross contamination. I was not sick after and will definitely go back someday!! My hubby (non-Celiac) got the same as me and loved it !!!!!

Nice atmosphere and separate GF menu. However, the tortilla chips and chicken wings listed on the GF menu are fried in a shared fryer and therefore are NOT GF. I am thankful that my server knew enough to mention it to me since I had ordered the nachos! I ended up getting the smoked fish dip with celery sticks which was OK, but needed more seasoning then I had the BBQ shrimp which was very tasty! I only gave 3 stars because of the lack of clarity on their GF menu that could easily cause contamination if the servers don't speak up or ask.
my 6 year old celiac had the nachos and loved them. It was a huge portion so she shared.
Yes
We enjoyed their gluten free menu plus they were great with our many food allergies!
We were told that almost everything has gluten in it, even the rice! We were told the only GF option was steamed fish.
No
Nice atmosphere but ordered off gluten-free menu and was served soy sauce that was not gluten free. Fine for gluten free dieters but not celiac
No
Great for breakfast. Our waitress was a celiac so she knew exactly how to help me. Jalapeño corned beef hash was delicious. Their hash browns are also safe and they do corn tortillas. My bf loved the regular toast and said it tasted homemade.
Absolutely delicious. My daughter and I both have celiac and really enjoyed the blackened hogfish with rice and fresh vegetables. Was able order cider or wine as well. Really great water view and experience!
Yes
I had Island steak with chef's rice and tomatoes. It was decent. The steak was a bit overcooked but it was so thin I'm not sure how they could have made it medium, it was still tasty though. The rice was delicious! Tomatoes were an odd side I thought, but my father gave me his broccoli that he doesn't like and that was very good. Our server wasn't the greatest and made me nervous, he acted like he really didn't care, but we were ok, we didn't order anything questionable. My father had the snapper grilled and it was fantastic. They have cake too but we were too full.
So many gluten free options and the food was absolutely delicious! Best dolphin fish dip appetizer with corn tortilla chips. Had the macho nachos for lunch and it is absolutely huge and yummy! My husband had the Mahi tacos and loved them as well! *the tacos were fried and on a flour tortilla so no GF. Loved the fact that they had a GF menu which made things so easy!
Yes
Separate GF menu. Waiter was knowledgable. Great views. Hubs had Caribbean special & I had nachos. Both were good. We didn't get dessert, but they do offer a GFS choc cake.
Great food, the staff knows their stuff. We ate here almost everyday on our trip to the keys and never had an incident with my very sensitive wife. I would highly recommend.
Yes
Fantastic gluten food experience (and for our non-celiac friends as well). Our waitress Danelle was so helpful in answering all of our questions. I'd highly recommend this to all. We plan to visit a few more times before our trip is over.
Good food not a lot of gluten free stuff but a separate GF menu. The waiter said the chips are not fried separately for the nachos. staff was friendly. awesome views.
Went here April 2013. Have a gluten free menu and dessert. Food was good. Cute place with a great view. Didn't try the dessert. Menu is more of what you can and cannot do gluten free that actual dedicated items.
Nice that they do offer gf guidance (server gave me his tiny cheat sheet that listed what was off limits) however I ordered based on their recommendations for myself and my daughter and she had a reaction.
Definitely not bad, not great either but it's slim pickings in marathon. They did have a gluten free menu. Nachos were great! Steak was cooked correctly and was decent in seasoning. View was nice as well. Mojitos were decent. All in all I could have made a better meal at home but the staff was knowledgable and I didn't get sick so I'll take what I can get. If you really don't feel like cooking and you want something easy and pretty good then give this a try.
Cute restaurant situated on the water. The establishment does not have a dedicated fryer so anything deep fried is off the menu. The server was knowledgable about the allergy. The restaurant has a gluten free menu which basically tells you what you can and cannot have on the menu. They also have a flourless chocolate cake. I ordered the island steak - a sirloin with tomatoes and rice. Main course was unremarkable. Steak was cooked to proper temperature and only seasoned with salt and pepper. Rice was bland. Tomatoes were unseasoned slices on the plate which made the dish fill disjointed. Flourless chocolate cake was rich and smooth. Overall, nice place for a quick bite to eat.
