Very knowledgeable young staff!
All GF items are clearly listed on the menu & staff clearly lists everything on the receipt/order!
Salads, burgers, fries & shakes!
To-Go orders are packaged nicely & clearly marked with GF stickers!
Dine-In orders are also clearly marked! Great food!
Thanks B21

No bun and can’t have the fries. So many other burger options to choose from in the area. Why go to a place that makes zero effort?

They have totally automated the ordering process without regard to allergies. It is possible to get a lettuce wrap on a burger, but no way to mark allergy or ask for a glove change. RDU airport is a huge disappointment for gluten free options.

Gluten free bun available or you can get lettuce wrap style. Fries are not GF. They fry breaded onion rings in the same fryer.

Had a lettuce wrap burger and fries. Kitchen assured the fries were made in dedicated frier not used for onion rings and they were sure to change their gloves. Felt fine after eating there.

I had high hopes! The person who took my order assured me they had protocols including glove changes, etc., to avoid cross contamination. The fries have a dedicated fryer and my burger came on an Udi's bun. I had a glorious basket of fries and a moderately tasty burger - can't do much about the bun, right - but there must have been gluten somewhere, because I was sick that night.

The burgers are safe and they have a gluten free bun, which isn’t bad, but the fries share a fryer with everything else so they aren’t safe. They have an allergen menu on their website, but it doesn’t take cross contamination into account.

Not safe for celiacs! There is cross contamination for the burger buns, they use a mat instead of parchment or foil. You can't have anything from the fryer. My husband, who is not celiac, says it's not very good. He had the herb and Parmesan fries and said they lacked flavor. The burger fi cheeseburger is no better than McDonalds. My mother-in-law got a bacon cheeseburger lettuce wrapped. She said they did a good job on the lettuce wrap and the bacon was nice and crispy. The burger was fine. The lady at the front was pleasant enough and knowledgeable.

My options at the airport were bad and worse. This was the least risky but that isn't saying much. They were taking orders only by kiosk and staff were very carefully avoiding questions. There was no way to flag allergy in their kiosk. So no precautions. I have mild symptoms and my only alternatives were even worse, that's the only reason I ate there. The burger was quite tasty.

Place was clean. GF buns. Cross contamination with the fries so I avoided eating them. Burgers are thin

I got a lettuce wrapped burger - it was very busy, the cashier didn’t seem very phased, and the receipt wasn’t marked for an allergy or anything. But it’s all we have at RDU and it did taste good so hopefully it works out ok!

Awesome meal! We have gluten and milk alergies in our family, and this place allowed us all to eat. They have gluten free buns and fries. The candied bacon and bbq sauce was awesome! My son got the double burger, candied bacon, caramelized onions, lettuce, pickles all on a gluten free bun! He loved it. Our youngest son loved the gluten free (not) dairy free ice cream with toppings. For the dairy allergy son we went about 1 mile up the road to Rita’s. No one got sick or needed their Epi pen.

No gluten free bun. The only options are to get burgers with no bun, or pay extra for a lettuce wrap. The lettuce wrap is not worth it. Mediocre burgers and expensive.

You can get burgers on a lettuce wrap "green style". Tell staff it's a gluten allergy and they will change gloves. Pretty tasty burger. Fries are cross contaminated with onion rings. While they don't have much here that's GF, it's better than everywhere else at RDU.

This was our favorite place pre-celiac. They do offer a lettuce bun and also keep Udi’s buns on hand as well in limited supply. The French fries are in a shared fryer but they said they are working on that too. They were happy to change gloves and keep safe as possible. Staff is extremely friendly and understanding.

Chain burger joint with terrific burger meat orders with lettuce wrap, outdoor seating, some outdoor games for kids, great location judy across from the street from the St John’s River, decent view. Fries are in a shared fryer and I steer chest of from past experience but the burger itself with lettuce works. Little bit messy that was but it’s fine. GF custard with strawberries is nice. They warm the buns on the grill. We don’t go here much anymore because of that.

The girl behind the counter was helpful, but they don’t have gluten free buns. You can only get a lettuce wrap…bummer

Only fast food in the strip it is in that would accommodate us. No gluten goes on the grill so we got a hot dog and burger “garden style” which means w/lettuce and it was very good

I have celiac and spoke with both the woman at the register and the cook as well. After they answered my questions about their fryer being dedicated for french fries and their burger being lettuce wrapped and prepped safely to avoid cross contact I ordered the swag burger and fries with just salt. That was the best burger I have ever had in my life! Spicy, salty, creamy and those fries were really incredible. I paired it with a lemon White Claw. I will go back before returning to Los Angeles. I actually tipped $5 more than I had originally left since the food was safe and super delicious.

I continue to drop in here and get a lettuce wrap burger and custard. Haven’t had a bad reaction and the burgers and very tasty.
7/10/16:
Ordered a 'green' burger. Will go back and next time I will get some custard too.
Update: Ate the custard. Solid choice. I'd come back just for dessert.

If we asked if anything on the menu was gluten free we were told a quick and annoyed no.
I felt like we were burdening them by asking questions and no one at the front knew anything about gluten options or ingredients. The manager was short with us and rude. We left without getting anything because it felt so unsafe for us to eat. Ugh.
We left because if I asked if something was gluten free I was just told no or “I don’t know” for literally anything.

Lettuce wrap burgers are fantastic. I have had the fries with no issues as well.
The girl in the counter didn’t even know what gluten-free options are.
So sad they have a separate fryer but Filter all the oil together??? Including the oil for onion rings... Really wondering why they do that? Excluding all celiacs or gluten intolerant people...
No
My wife has celiac. We tried to eat at Buger Fi today. The cashier told us "Nothing on the menu can be guaranteed gluten free." The manager told us they do not have a dedicated fryer (as this profile claims).

Great location, price, and service.

They have a lettuce bun available as a substitute.

The staff was able to quickly get answers to my questions. They do not have a dedicated fryer. The do offer Beyond/Impossible patties and the option for a lettuce wrap instead of a bun. On tap is a hard cider option instead of beer. They also serve wine.
Yes
I had a bacon burger on a lettuce wrap, "Green Style". Great meat, and no adverse reaction, but there wasn't anything else on the menu that could be GF. The fries didn't look breaded, but were fried in a shared fryer.
Yes
Very knowledgeable about celiac, guaranteed me fresh ingredients. Even though the fries are not in a dedicated fryer, that’s the only thing that would make this place perfect.
Yes
This place is PHENOMENAL!! I had the beyond burger green style but no onions or tomatoes, and it was delicious and filling! The manager Alexander is absolutely amazing and answered all of questions super honestly. He went above and beyond by even going back and making me my own hand cut fries in an area that has no chance of gluten and in a frier that has no cross-contamination and the farthest away from the gluten containing one. The fries were fantastic, too! I heard that the gluten food was absolutely great too, and the custard looks great too!
