Food was excellent, service was great! Unfortunately, I did get sick. Not a horrible reaction, clearly just a little cross-contamination.

My hope is they may be able to make some small changes and avoid this. It’s really as simple as moving the bread out of the kitchen. It’s too easy for bread to be added to the wrong plate, and then removed immediately without realizing the ramifications.

The other problem is using the same gloves, at most BBQ places I have to request that they change their gloves, to prevent handling bread and then meat. Simply moving the bread out to be added by waitstaff eliminates this and lessens the chances of a mistake being made.

I know it seem like a lot of effort to cater to a few people, but the reality is that once you get on our radar as a safe place to eat, you’ll see a lot more of us!

Terrific BBQ here, and all of their meats and sauces are gluten free. Some of the sides are GF too. Our server seemed fairly knowledgeable about GF issues, and seemed genuinely concerned about keeping me safe.

They had a gluten free menu and it said that it is a shared fryer. There are a lot of options. All of the BBQ sauces are gluten free! Waitress appeared knowledgeable and very courteous about the gluten free stuff. Highly recommend this place! You get to substitute the garlic bread for a side!

We were excited to find this place. All their sauces are gf. I told our server that 3 of us had to be gf. She gave us an additional menu with all the gf options. There was a lot. As we ordered she had us choose a 3rd side because we couldn't have the bread that comes with the meal. 1st place we've had do that. My husband (not gf) & my 17 yr old son both said the meat portion could have been bigger but we all left satisfied. Great service, great food. We'll stop here again. We ate here for supper on July 2, 2024.

Slow service, ordered no garlic bread baked beans instead - received garlic bread and no beans. They did manage to keep the cheese off my salad and potato. Took way too long for what I got. Do not recommend.

Very good establishment. Nice people and good food. Between the two we both ordered off the separate GF menu. We ordered chicken, burnt ends and loaded baked potatoes. Wonderful. If anything I wish they had a bar but that's just personal preference.

Our extended family orders from here all the time, so I really wanted this to work out. Also its pretty tasty, and I like the different styles of sauce. However I keep getting glutened. Last time the staff was very helpful and sounded knowledgeable, but no luck. I am pretty sensitive to cross contaminants so if you're not celiac and not as sensitive you might be able to get away with it.

They have a gluten-free menu. I was a little concerned as the salad dressings on the regular menu appeared to be gluten-free but were not listed on my menu. The manager brought out their allergen lists from the back, and we determined the honey mustard was indeed gluten free. I had the salad with chicken and it was great. Our waitress, Echo, went above and beyond to ensure I was safe.

Amazing place.They have a gluten free menu with a fair variety. Told the waitress I was Gluten-free,grain free, soy free and she was very informative on what was available. I forgot to mention for them to change gloves but when I asked the waitress she said she already made sure they did that and wiped down the counters. I ordered the smoked turkey,loaded potato,salad and apple sauce. I could only it half my meal because of the potion sizes and the turkey was juice not dry.

We came here for lunchtime when it came time to order I had explained everything to 2 waitresses about my daughter's celiac disease and cross contamination and asked for a plain hotdog in the microwave no bun because they said they use the grill to toast the buns and oil to fry everything. When the food came they gave me a grilled hotdog and when I asked for a new one in the microwave they told me the 1st hotdog was gluten free just dipped in the fryer oil and I had to explain cross contamination again before they gave me a normal hotdog. They were nice about everything but I feel like they did not listen or understand about the food.

UPDATE March 2023 I eat here regularly without problems. I ask the server to make sure to let the kitchen know it’s an allergy (easier to explain than celiac) and to put on new gloves: no bread and no croutons. I always have turkey and the spicy barbecue sauce. Sides I have tried are baked potatoes (delicious, make sure butter is real butter), salad with lemon vinaigrette (only dressing gluten free), potato salad, barbecue beans.

2016 Review: Have eaten here several times without getting sick. Luncheon turkey dinner with potato salad, barbecue beans and side salad with the lemon dressing. I always let the server know I have celiac disease and ask that he/she request the kitchen staff to use new gloves. They always seem to be knowledgeable about allergies.

Went to the bar and placed a carry out order. I ordered from the GF menu and notified the server I needed gluten free. After waiting an unreasonable amount of time we finally got our food only to open it and have two huge slices of garlic bread right on top touching everything. Went back and got our money back. Such a waste of time. Smelled good but can’t recommend.

Delicious bbq, server Stephanie was knowledgeable in GF items. Had the pork plate with baked potato and coleslaw and was offered another side instead of the bread, chose green beans. Asked the server about gluten-free when I entered and she knew what I was talking about right away. They do have a printed GF menu. The ribs were extremely good. I also had a baked potato, potato salad, and a salad with their gluten-free dressing which was a lemon vinaigrette. I do have Celiac disease and did not get sick eating here. One thing to note is that the lemon vinaigrette is their only gluten-free dressing and it is extremely strong with lemon.

We were traveling and so hungry. Thought we would try this restaurant. They had lots of gluten-free options. Staff was knowledgeable about gluten allergy; felt safe. The food was incredible. We are from Kansas City area who has some of the best barbecue in the country. Well, this barbecue was as good as KC barbecue. Smoke was done well. Try this place.

Asked 3 different servers and not one of them could answer what was gluten free. Had to go online and look for myself and then none of the servers would come back to the table, had to get my own water, had to chase down the server to get the bill. Wasn’t impressed with the food.
