No dedicated fryer but they do have gf buns and said they would wipe the area down and change gloves.

all patties are cooked on the same flat top, not safe for celiac. the staff did mention how they have a dedicated spot for the gf buns, but still because of the possible cross contamination with the patties i couldn’t get anything. if you don’t have celiac or aren’t very sensitive you should be fine, but otherwise i wouldn’t take the risk.
taste rating is irrelevant as i could not get anything

Love burger lounge especially the paleo /keto burger on lettuce with bacon and more. I can never get a straight answer from this place whether they have a separate fryer so we generally avoid the fries— huge bummer.
Dairy free shakes are awesome. Overall great burgers and they were knowledgeable safety wise except for the fryer.

We eat here when we are visiting our daughter, and she eats here almost weekly. It is her favorite burger place and she has never gotten sick. She is not celiac but is pretty sensitive to gluten.

Have only gone one time so far but staff was very well aware of cross contamination and allergies. All of the burgers can be subbed with gf and they have separate areas. When I went, the manager had said their toaster has been down for a while so they’ve switched to using the grill and they made a separate spot for the gluten free buns! Fries are NOT gf due to shared fryer, but the craft soda is. Kids also eat free on Tuesdays (1 kid per 1 adult entree) and their beef is 100% grass fed. Gf bun was soft and buttery

Spoke with manager at counter. Was advised they can do gluten free without cross contamination. They have gluten free buns available. They have a separate part of the grill for only gluten free. Manager knew ingredient information and said she trains employees on not cross contamination food. She said the fryers are NOT gluten free so no on the fries.
Their online menu clearly lists what items are gluten free or not. Ther gluten free buns are among the best I've never tried.
While they are good about labeling gluten free items, there have been times I found onion ring flour (not gluten free) in my fries so I would not order them if you are celiac or very sensitive with cross contamination. I have never had an issue with the burgers though!

Couldn’t use the straws lol I’m allergic to guava :p but I carry my own so all good!! Hubby had The Husky with fries and onion rings (he has no allergies or anything) and he absolutely LOVED IT!! Service was amazing as well!! Great place, a must go!!

I have been coming here for a few years because I could eat the fries. However today the cashier informed me they changed the protocol and are now frying fries in same fryer as vegan nuggets that contain gluten. So glad I asked and he was honest. He said they are not suppose to do that under corporate rule but manager doesn’t care.

My daughter got very sick after eating here tonight. We have eaten here before and I double checked that the gluten free food would be cooked separately but I should have known better than to let her eat it when it all came out in one bag including the loose fries and onion rings my husband ordered which are not safe. Will not be coming back.

I love going here and actually getting to eat a burger! The gf buns are sooo good. Careful with the fries tho, they deep fry them in the same oil as the onion rings!

Ordered a burger in a gf bun and was asked if it was preference or allergy. I said allergy, and he said they do this in a separate area. The place was busy, and the order took over 30 minutes to come up, and that was after I went back to the counter to see they were packing up tons of Grubhub orders before taking care of the people in the store. That said, my daughter thoroughly enjoyed her burger once it finally arrived.

On our trip to San Diego we found this place in La Jolla. All the family enjoyed the food. I’m the one with celiac. I had a delicious grilled fish burger on GF bun with a GF milkshake. So good.

We had our food delivered to our hotel (we were tired of wearing our masks), ordered via their website. The food tasted great and was delivered promptly. My hamburger was made with vegan cheese (issues with dairy), on a GF bun and tasted the great.

Best Burger & Roll in San Diego (so far) Iv had no problems the last two visits!! Staff is great!
Yes
The staff was very friendly, helpful and accommodating. Even though I ordered my burger wrapped in lettuce (they do offer gf buns), the server said he would still make a note “gluten allergy” for the kitchen, so that they could be extra careful
Food was good, my son and I didn’t get sick, managers attitude and poor customer service will be the reason I don’t return. I asked for a GF bun and was given a regular bun, when I asked to have a gluten free bun he accused me of not saying that I wanted 1. He re did my order but asked twice to make sure we paid the extra for the bun. Not once did he apologize. So I guess make sure you get a gluten free bun and say it’s allergy!
Good burger. They understand cross contamination. Didn’t have any issues.

Have been multiple times and never been sick. Decent gluten free bun and very good meat. Fries are cooked with gluten items

Just wish the vegan burger was also gluten free, like a beyond meat or impossible burger

gluten free buns, but the fries are in a shared fryer with the onion rings. delicious burgers!

I had the classic burger, fries (dedicated fryer) and a cider. The burger and fries were very tasty. The staff was knowledgeable on GF. I will definitely be back.

Counter staff is aware of allergies and there is dedicated space on the flat top (not grill) for burgers. Excellent gluten free buns, not your typical Udi's, etc. I've had good luck with both burgers and salads.

Staff knowledgeable about gluten/ cross contaminants. GF buns, yummy burgers! Unfortunately fries aren't safe.
Went here specifically because of reviews on this app. They were extremely knowledgeable about my celiac. They have a dedicated dryer but the grease can have cross contamination. I had the fries and had no problem but be aware of that. Amazing GF bun - it did not fall apart. Overall, delicious burger and fries. I totally recommend.

After a discussion about gluten free due to being celiac.... I was told they had a dedicated fryer. My fries had a chunk of onion ring on them! I’m sick now.
No
Great experience and quick. You can get a bun and fries. They also have chicken if you’re not feeling a burger.
Yes
I only ate here once but the service was great. Very knowledgeable and my food preparation was explained. The burger was very good and so was the bun. The french fries are technically cooked in a separate fryer...however...they explained that they merge the frying oils at the end of the day and reuse to fry. So the oil that makes the fries and the onion rings do get mixed together and it’s reused, so there’s cross contamination. It was a good dining experience
Yes
5 star burger tasted awesome. I got their classic burger and asked for no sauce, no fries and anything that could be "iffy." I am lazy and do not bother with getting ingredients to sauces and just nix them. To make it "easy" on everyone, I even told him to have the chef nix anything on the burger not ceiliac safe (bad idea... should have done the usual 20 minute grind before ordering... so not entirely their fault).
I should have looked closer at the ingredients list and itemized for the server, because my burger came with pickles... not all pickles are safe. I paid the price the next morning. For all I know, it may have been other cross-contamination in the kitchen. So, mainly my fault for not micromanaging.
4 star rating since I know they probably tried to be accommodating, but I doubt cross-contamination is at ceiliac or severe intolerance level. Those with allergy may be fine since they can have a slightly higher gluten tollerance than celiacs (yes, I am taking you guys seriously).
FRIES ARE A NO! They may have separate fryers, but share the same oil as breaded products.
No
I enjoyed my lounge burger and fries!
We got the featured paleo burgers and mentioned I am veryy gluten allergic and they were nice and said they would take extra care. Delicious and grass-fed meat- so glad to have tried this place!
