I love this place for an easy lunch. I have never been glutened from this place and I have bad symptoms when I do get glutened. I just tell them I’m gf and I don’t get asked any questions and I’m alllll good.

They are very careful with GF menu items. I have never had any reaction to anything I have ordered here. Delicious food choices and friendly employees keep me coming back here frequently!

Make sure they have gluten free bread - and have the person at the register Go back and check to make sure. I asked at the register before ordering and was told yes. After we ordered and waiting for our food, I was told they don't have any gluten-free bread. Manager refunded my meal but still gave me my potato salad (and added an extra side of potato salad) for free.
I've eaten at several McAllister's across LA & MS. Always good food,, and I've never had an allergic reaction. First time not having gluten-free bread! Only reason for 4 stars rather than 5.

We told the very nice cashier that I have a gluten allergy and she said “don’t worry, we got you”. She answered all of our questions with confidence. After placing our order she hollered to the kitchen what the order was and that it was an allergy. Then she turned around and said “it’s also stamped on the order print out, don’t worry” I didn’t ask about preparation given the reviews I had already read and the fact that they even differentiate between allergy and non-allergy gluten free. 5/5 fast food experience.

I was served regular bread after discussing my gluten free needs and ordering a gluten free sandwich. Luckily, I’m not celiac but it certainly did a number on me….

Be cautions with the menu here. I ordered a salad without croutons and got them anyway. I suspect the ranch has gluten when told it didn’t have it. Ended up very sick afterwards - this is after paying for my second meal because I didn’t want to make a scene after the first one was wrong.

I really liked the gluten free bread! I get nervous eating at delis because of cross contamination, but no reaction, and a delicious sandwich!

A pretty good assortment of options that I can eat, plus they have a decent tasting gluten free bread.
Would definitely recommend, I’ve never gotten sick here!
I just wish I could eat the chocolate chip cookies, those are one of the things I miss most from pre-diagnosis.

In town with Celiac son from California. It’s not listed on the board, but they do have gluten free bread, PLUS a second prep station for emergencies/allergies. They also have baked potatoes the size of your head you can create with meats, cheeses & toppings. Our son said his sandwich was delicious, and he didn’t get sick. They were very attentive to his needs!

I have gone there multiple times. I have gotten the pick two with the Italian and the spud max. It was very good. The bread is Udi’s bread. One time it came out with gluten bread, and they remade it very fast with no question!

The staff was knowledgeable about their gluten sensitivity menu and asked the person preparing the food to change his gloves. Had the spudmax. It was ok. Been here a couple of times and the spud was delicious but this time lacked toppings that gives it the flavor. Still, I'd come here again. August 3, 2021 Came back and ate the spud max and this time it was very flavorful. Didn’t have any problems. They did a great job!

They have clearly marked menu above their deli to order style foods. I ordered a baked potato and nachos (made with gluten free ingredients.) They didn’t ask about the gluten free order. The gf menu were limited. Overall, extremely friendly and inviting deli. I felt good about what I ate.

This location was great when it first opened, but has backslid quite a bit. The manager tonight was not familiar with what "Celiac" meant, and was not overly cautious when taking my order after I explained; he didn't know the gluten content of the menu items. Another cashier had to point out to him that all bread is toasted on a common toaster, so toasted gluten-free bread was not an option for someone who has to be safe. Even after that conversation, he brought my sandwich to me with toasted bread, and said he didn't remember us deciding on toasted versus non-toasted, even though he was the one taking and ringing up my order, and was standing right there when it was all discussed. I usually stick to salads, and will do so from now on if I return. From a non-food-allergy perspective, the quality and quantity of the food has also gone down.

Soooo I used to eat here without problems for years, but now they are understaffed and have a very cranky kitchen staff. I’ve gotten sick the past couple of times. My brother used to work here and said the potatoes are made separate from the sandwiches so shouldn’t be an issue there. I’ve developed an addiction to the chef salad and always order without croutons and specify allergy…… more than 50% of time there are croutons. I’ll open to check it and not see any and then when I get home find like 1/2 a crouton at the bottom. Just not educating staff on allergens unfortunately. But I’ve brought a GF salad back in for croutons before and manager came up without asking, told kitchen to change gloves and make a new one NO CROUTONS. Very inconsistent.

There is very little that is gluten-free friendly on this menu. About the only safe place you can get some of the baked potatos or a salad with no croutons.

I ordered the French dip on gluten free bread without the au jus (has wheat) and half a spud max without olives. When the cashier asked if the gluten sandwich was an allergy and I told her yes, she informed the kitchen the order was an allergy. The sandwich was good and filling. The potato was kind of dried out, but was sufficient. I will def be back for the sandwich, but maybe opt for a salad next time.

Very slow service. Heard the guy in the back complaining “I hate when it’s an allergy. You have to wash your hands, change gloves, wipe surface, etc.” At least I know they are taking precautions. Early evening and out of spuds which is the main GF option here.
