They have a few items marked gluten friendly. No salads are marked as such due to croutons. The initial worker said the salads wouldn’t be GF even without the croutons. We asked if she could please check and another worker came and assured us that the salad without croutons was GF and all the dressings are GF.

They have a separate toaster for the GF bread but you have to remind them. Then after all that, they put a cookie on my daughter's plate. Argh

Great place as they have quite a lot of gluten free foods!! See their online allergen menu. They even offer a gluten free bread!! All salad dressings & condiments are gluten free. Their Vegi Chili is gluten free, but their meat chili is NOT! I eat there regularly, with no issues. I’ve eaten many of their sandwiches & salads! One of Texarkana’s managers, named Brian, is very helpful if you’re needing gluten free!!

If your in the mood for a potato and a side, this is the place to come. Other than that the selection of Gluten free is limited. The young lady that took my order didn’t even know that the nacho was gluten free (nor any of the other foods with the no wheat symbol) š¤¦š¼ā Nachos hit the spot for a snack before hitting the road again. Not sure we will stop here again but they are at least trying when so many restaurants don’t.

GF bread for sandwiches. Apparently, all sandwiches can be made GF. Menu marked for other GF options. I had an Italian sandwich with their potato chips and a pickle with no problem. Food is real good, but a little pricey for what it is. Will definitely go back though.

Asked for gluten free food! Had no reaction besides a little irritation on the roof of my mouth. All sandwiches can be gluten free. Bread good and does not crumble. Would go there again! Didn’t charge for gluten free!

The GF bread is ok. When we went the staff was not aware about how to handle the GF orders or what sauces were ok to order. Bread is toasted on shared toasted. Sometimes they will but foil over it to protect the bread but sonetimes they don't. Last time here manager informed me when they are busy they cannot guarantee that they can accommodate special instructions on orders. Wasnt happy to be told after we ordered but i understand that when busy they dont want to make promises they cant keep. We will not return and do not reccomend foe celiac.

Great place for a high quality sandwich. The gluten-free bread is delicious and the staff were very knowledgeable about cross-contamination and menu items and marked my order to be extra careful. Sides are marked GF on the menu.

I ordered the French dip on gluten free bread without the au jus (has wheat) and half a spud max without olives. When the cashier asked if the gluten sandwich was an allergy and I told her yes, she informed the kitchen the order was an allergy. The sandwich was good and filling. The potato was kind of dried out, but was sufficient. I will def be back for the sandwich, but maybe opt for a salad next time.

I’ve eaten at this McAlister’s several times and have never had any issues. After taking my order they tell the person fixing my food to change their gloves. I always order the spud max. It has a lot of flavor and is very filling.

McAlister’s offers gluten free Udi’s bread. They have gluten free options for sides: fruit, potato salad, apple sauce, salad. They ask if gf is an allergy and take precautions. I haven’t had any issue with this store’s practices. They are friendly and knowledgeable.

The have GF bread. Now they can not guarantee that your sandwich will be 100% GF. This is because they don't clean the surface they make the sandwich on before hand & they don't always change gloves before hand. But it is very good GF bread.

I had a garden turkey and they were able to make it on GF toast. No problems at all and very tasty. Nice to have another restaurant choice. This location (near the Kroger in the shopping center at the corner of Precinct and Grapevine Highway) has a patio so it was a great place to meet friends safely.

They do have potatoes. But for soup…I called to ask if any of their soups (like the broccoli cheddar or potato soup) were gluten free and she said she didn’t know because they don’t tell them what’s in the soups.

I've been gluten free for 15 years and the lady taking our order was the least pleasant person I've ever encountered. I was happy to see they had some items I felt I could eat but after my encounter with her I ordered a tea and fruit. Didn't even attempt the potato. I said I was celiac/ gluten allergy. She doesn't say a word to me, turns around grabs the allergy menu and says "I'm not a doctor" I looked at my coworker thinking I was going crazy at how rude she was being. I tried being ever more polite thinking I had done or said something to ask if there was anything they needed to do in the back for gluten she just reiterated that she wasn't a doctor. My coworker actually took over from there and told her how rude she was. Etc. It was mind boggling. Anyway, food might be great but I was unable to find out anything and wasn't in the mood to talk to a manager. She left me with a terrible first impression that they clearly do not understand and I wasn't about to risk eating anything.

They ran out of gluten free bread. Ended up getting a potato which they also offer gluten free.
Service was pretty good but they did seem to be a little overwhelmed by the number of people.
Food was good overall and so far not sick which of course is the big thing.
If I feel bad tomorrow I'll update this.
