I called a month before going as we were planning our company Christmas dinner, the manager was very nice and explained there are several options but the risk of cross contamination was very present. However, when I actually went, the staff was Not trained or informed on anything gluten free. Whatever manager was working that night did not know anything as well as they both didn't even know they had a GF menu! The waitress came back and told me that my best bet is to order something and she'd run back and ask if it was gluten free.. Thankfully, my friend ended up finding the GF menu online for me. Still good service minus that huge factor, and they let us camp out there while we chatted with patience. Just wish they were more informed of what they offer.
We normally eat fajitas, making sure the meat is not marinated in soy sauce. To date all Mexican restaurants have accommodated us. Chuy's marinates all meat in beer! We also eat no flour of any kind, so enchiladas are not an option for us. The manager brought us the gluten-free menu and said everything would be cross contaminated so if we were celiac, he didn't recommend us eating here. Literally the only things we could eat on the Chuy's "gluten free" menu were refried beans and lettuce. We had some good margaritas and left without eating.
No
We called ahead to ask about Gluten-free options, and were told we could eat many things. Upon arrival, the manager said we could only have lettuce and unmarinated chicken breast. We had to walk out, since there was nothing for us to eat! How infuriating!
Regardless of food prep they dust the chips with flour. Stay away!
So far, I haven't had any problems. The manager supervises the order and cooking. It gave me assurance.
Yes
I have found everyone accomodating in my search for gluten free food. The managers are amazing and most of the servers know what has gluten in it. Just ask. I have a great experience everytime I go there
Yes
Chips are gf but just need to be on the lookout for beer in the chicken.

I had a great experience at Chuy’s with their awareness to Celiac disease and their ability to make sure everything was safe for me to eat. The General Manager, Bentley, was awesome and I would highly recommend requesting him to talk to when you go in!!

I loved this place before Celiac diagnosis. I was told they marinate meat in beer. Not gf friendly! I brought my own chips and had guac. and hot sauce.

Called ahead and discussed gf options Was offered a gf menu at host stand. No meat sub guacamole. There aren’t many options to choose from which is why they get a low rating. Service great, atmosphere great. I had to go for food after

Separate GF menu. I had enchiladas on corn tortillas with one of the safe sauces plus a crunchy taco. It was delicious and staff was knowledgeable.
