My husband let them know at check-in that he had Celiac and they sent both the manager and head chef to walk him around and tell him everything he could eat- and also what they could make separately for him. He had a great Gf pizza in addition to tons of seafood dishes and a wide variety to choose from.
Oh em gee! Wicked Spoon was phenomenal! Worth every cent. Told host I was Celiac. The manager came to our table, introduced herself and let me know the chef would be coming to speak with me about my options. Meanwhile, all GF dishes in the buffet are labeled so I was welcome to go and peruse my choices ahead of time. The Chef gave me a tour, showed me all the options safe for me as well as letting me know what could be made for me special. I had so many choices, I had trouble deciding. Plus, they made me my very own GF pizza! Soups, salads, risotto, sushi, pizza, meats, cheeses, veggies, curries, pho, and desserts including cookies, gelato & creme brulee. I ate so much the thought of eating again sounds disgusting! Go here! You will be so happy you did.
Chef Katelyn (I believe that is how you spell her name) hands down made this the BEST dining experience of our trip to Vegas. We asked about allergy issues at the podium, and the cashier contacted Katelyn, who met us at the entrance and proceeded to guide me (the Celiac of the party) through the entire buffet. Was told was I could and couldn’t not eat based off the options, which is standard. What blew my mind and made this the best dining experience ever, was that Katelyn then asked if I wanted anything made gluten free, such as pizza or pasta; basically, all the gluten versions of stuff available, she tried to offer to me in GF versions. I could have cried, I was so happy. Took her up on some pizza with ricotta, broccoli, and mushrooms with seasonings, and proceeded to indulge in the rest of the buffet. You DO run into the risk for potential CC, because it’s a buffet. However, they had separate tongs for everything, and was told that if I wanted, I could have some items from the back to create less change of CC, should I be nervous. I wasn’t nervous; items that were right next to gluten items I either avoided or kind of took in the appearance before deciding to eat any of them. And I ate a TON of food; tapioca pudding with mango jelly, GF cookies and cupcakes, pizza, broccoli, mushrooms, risotto, prime rib, kale salad, crab legs with butter, I could go on... it was pure heaven. I can’t thank Katelyn enough. With her on the team at Wicked Spoon, I feel like any Celiac visiting Vegas will find themselves in a safe place to eat.
Wow! Being GF here makes you feel like a a straight up guest of honor. Personal tour with the head chef. Not only were items marked but he steered me clear of some choices that may be technically GF but he felt could be a gamble because of gluten containing foods being nearby. There were some options not marked GF that they specially made to be so. Eggs Benedict anyone? Don’t pass this place up! Well worth it.
The chef was very knowledgeable about ingredients in all prepared foods. She personally walked me around the buffet to point out foods that were safe for me to eat. She even offered to specially prepare some gluten free dishes for me.
So many options!!! Great!!! Especially for a buffet!
This place is awesome! I read the other reviews on here, because normally I would never feel safe at a buffet, and am so happy that we ended up trying this place out. Just like others described, they had a chef walk around with me and go over everything that was gluten-free. Additionally, they mark all of the stations that are GF. The Chef had Eggs Benedict made for me GF. Just as a warning, because someone else incorrectly stated this, but the Asian station is pretty off-limits. There is not much there that is safe, but you know that in advance and there’s still plenty of options to choose from. Including several desserts. Their gluten-free chocolate chip cookies were some of the best I have had! I did not have any reactions from here.
Food was excellent! They made a GF pizza for my son. They also have GF desserts! Chef walked us around their large buffet telling us their GF options! Very happy with our meal!
Quite a few GF options. And cookies and cupcakes for dessert. I had no issues (celiac)
I never thought I could eat at a buffet as a super sensitive celiac. Chef Lois spent so much time with me making sure I felt comfortable and ensuring my food was safe. I tested 7 items from the buffet with Nima, all 7 safe! Delicious food!
Excellent. Chef made me gf French toast and it was excellent.
Amazing dinner buffet. Even got to have dessert!
Maria hostess was great.... Chef tour was an accidental find due to research on her gluten allergy, but OMG, I enjoyed it as much as she did! Identify any allergy you have, and just ask for a chef tour guidance. It wasn't busy, so they were very easy to accommodate even though specifically for gluten it is not their normal procedure since foods are marked GF. HINT: for those very sensitive... some were mismarked or signs switched. He fixed as we went and if not marked GF but it was, he could explain why it was. Also on the tour, he was constantly offering to fix a special preparation of most of the dishes without gluten. Bonus!!! No GF sign is going to tell you that! Sorry, no GF Fried Chicken! Chef tour all the way! Just ask, and show how much it means... ie, Don't forget to tip your Server... Extra!
I am so glad I found this place! When I told the waiter I have Celiacs he got a chef to show me what was safe. Chef Joseph was amazing - he offered to make me gf eggs Benedict and gf French toast. They cook all of their Chinese food with Tamari so most of it is safe. I will definitely be returning next time I’m in Vegas!
The staff was incredibly helpful. When I asked about options, a chef gave me a tour of the buffet and explained all of the safe options. She also offered to make me GF versions of the pasta, pizza, and other items. The truffle Mac and cheese and shrimp and grits were amazing!
A lot of meat, but also a lot of things that are not celiac friendly. I picked what I knew would be okay and away from cross contamination—fruit, salad not next to pasta salad etc...one side is Asian cuisine and desserts. I didn’t attempt to go there, but hubs found a GF cupcake for me and it was good.
I felt totally confident and safe eating here. Sad that the seafood wasn't labeled as GF but there were other protein options, fried rice, truffle risotto, and the dessert bar was awweeessoommeee.
The most amazing buffet for GF in Vegas! Very thoughtful staff, everything is labeled GF but the chef Katelyn Ford walked me around the whole Buffett. Impressive selection of not normal GF options. Some of my favorites: cold pasta salad, risotto, sushi, fried rice, creamy spinach. They made me an amazing GF pizza also. AND a separate GF deserts section! So much fun I highly recommend!
Amazing! The chef Aaron was amazing and took me around the entire buffet showing me what I can and can’t eat. He also offered to make me any pasta or pizza with gluten free ingredients. So many options. And dessert was amazing! Best gf cookies I’ve ever had.
Very helpful staff. Great food. Good selection of dessert, even chocolate chip cookies.
When I told the people at the register I had food allergies they brought the manager out who had me walk around the buffet with a chef to check ingredients. Gluten free items are labeled accordingly. I have additional food allergies and chefs Rory and Aaron worked to make me a special meal that far exceeded anything I could have asked for.
Make sure Chef prepares fresh food for you. Avoids cross contamination! 😊
they are aware of gluten free and the chef walks you around and shows what is and isn't gluten free which was a great help, not that match gf, although the chef can make you certain foods. not worth $52 as we queued up for over an hour so so little food.
Fantastic food. The chef walked the line with me & showed me the GF foods. Definitely enough variety to satisfy. No breads available. My only complaint is with the app pricing. $45 per person should be $$$.
I live very close to the Wicked Spoon and I have celiac. I eat there once a week and it is a great gluten free experience. Lot's to choose from. If you are in Vegas you must go.
The food was amazing here! The best part was that a chef gave me a tour of what was gluten free and what wasn't. They also make custom food, like stir fry, with gluten free soy sauce. And they have BREAD! It tasted like real bread! But it was gluten free! Probably the best gluten free bread I've ever had! There were plenty of options to eat without having to ask them to make something special for only me, which was nice. I hate causing a fuss. Everyone there was knowledgeable about Celiacs, and when I asked a specific question they'd bust out this huge binder with allergy info. I'd HIGHLY recommend this place!
