Really tasty and plenty of options. I got a bowl with rice, chicken, hummus and arugula. The biggest thing at Nando's is that you can customize the level of spice to your comfort. The food was really delicious.
I get migraines if I am exposed to a high level of gluten, so I can't speak to cross contamination, but I was really happy with my food.

I eat here often and usually have no issues! I typically get the Peri Peri bowl with mango lime sauce and chicken thighs and it is delicious! Don't get the superspeed crunch, that has wheat in it. Fries are delicious and I really like their rice! They have pretty big food portions. I usually get two meals out of a bowl. A little pricey, but always tasty.
I also really enjoy their watermelon mint lemonade!
I recently found out that their mashed potatoes ARE NOT GF. Yeah, I made that mistake this week. Don't be like me and make that mistake. I never get mashed potatoes, but decided to try them this time. Their garlic butter contains gluten. I messaged them to ask about it. Why are they adding gluten to butter??

I ate her twice while staying in National Harbor. It was my first experience with Nando's as we don't have one near where I live. Although not everything is GF, I got chicken and mashed potatoes both times. It was good!

Love their chicken and fries! It’s classy but a lot of food and very filling. I split the full chicken with two of my friends and we were so full. The waiters weren’t the most knowledgeable about celiac (they told me just to check on the menu and wouldn’t mark the order as special or anything).

The tasty roasted chicken and marinades from this UK-based chain are all gluten free, even the fries are the only thing in the dedicated fryer! The manager and server were very clued up and offered the allergy binder for me to look through.
Please note the mashed potatoes are *no longer* gluten free. They used to be... Maybe someday again. I'll keep asking.
Nando's was one of my favorite restaurants before diagnosis, so I'm very glad that my family can still enjoy it together! Sometimes you can find the Nando's marinade in the supermarket (seen at Woodman's in UK section) to make your own at home.

They have an allergen menu but it’s kind of a pain because they want you to order online (even while seated in the restaurant) and there isn’t an easy way to navigate marking the order with a gluten allergy. I ordered a Peri-Peri bowl at the register but that was difficult, too. The kid was telling me that my bowl didn’t have gluten even though the allergen menu said it contained wheat. He didn’t realize wheat contains gluten. After he said he could consult with the manager we were able to place the order but it was a little more difficult than I’d hoped. He said the seed crunch they put on the Rainbow Bowl contains gluten but they can omit it. I don’t know why the allergen menu says the Peri-Peri Bowl contains wheat. It doesn’t have the seed mix and everything else in the bowl is gluten free. The food was excellent though. My wife found it a little spicy for her taste (and she chose a milder sauce) but I loved it. I recommend it but you’ll have to work a little harder than you might want.

The server was so nice - told me the things that HAVE gluten (superseed crunch, bread, desserts) and also said (without prompting) that he would have the folks change gloves and be extra careful. Most things here are already gluten free.

The menu isn’t marked but the manager spent 5 or 10 minutes walking me through the menu and explaining my options. They do have a separate allergen menu (more like a list with checked boxes) but he knew what was GF and walked me through it. I had a chicken thigh Peri-Peri bowl. The sauce was tasty and addictive. The Portuguese rice was also very tasty and left me craving more. They have a lot of locations so I am sure I will be back during my travels.

I had the chicken bowl without the hummus and a side of fries. I was told it was all gluten free but they were unsure if the hummus had cross contamination, so I opted for no hummus just to be safe. The fries are the only thing that go in the frier, so no cross contamination there. The food was not bad for a quick, easy meal across from my hotel. I did not get sick.

I dined in and had a positive experience the people were very nice and I watched the person who took my order tell the kitchen to be careful with cross contamination. I did not get sick and felt comfortable eating there! I would always say when eating somewhere that has gluten in the kitchen at all be very clear about the severity and ask them to change gloves etc!

We always stop at Nando’s when we travel south. They have a well marked allergen booklet. We get the chicken livers, spicy olives, brussels sprouts without the sauce, shish kebabs, and half chicken. French fries are in a dedicated fryer. Enjoy!

While the restaurant isn’t dedicated gluten free, the staff are excellent about allergies! As soon as you tell the staff you have celiac/wheat allergy, they are running to the kitchen to ensure your order is prepared with new gloves, in a freshly cleaned area, and without any gluten ingredients. The servers automatically bring the allergen book and work directly with you to ensure you do not order anything that has hidden gluten. My husband and I both have celiac and have never had issues here :)

my husband is from Australia, and whenever we saw that a Nando‘s was coming to Houston. We both got so excited. The only question was do they have gluten-free options? Well, the answer is yes! They do! Do they have gluten-free indicators on their menu? No. They don’t…but don’t worry, I did the digging for you, and if you swipe right, you will find pictures of their allergen menu that they store behind the counter. (Not the best picture but proof that it exists!!) đ
of course they can’t say that it is a completely gluten-free space because they do have flour, but they did say that the grill was completely separate from anything containing wheat so I do feel like most people will be very safe eating here. The sauces don’t contain gluten, but to my surprise, the sweet potatoes do. And be careful with the bowls because some of them are not gluten-free but the grilled chicken is and I will say it is absolutely delicious!

Full disclosure - I work for Nando’s in Australia! While I was touring personally in the USA I had to try a Nando’s here for comparison and I was pleasantly surprised! If I’m honest, I only eat Nando’s at home because I work for the business and have a good understanding of the cooking process and what’s safest to order to avoid cross contamination (note that’s any chicken on the bone because it’s cooked on the flame grill, not on the flat top with the burgers, and a side of spicy rice (prepared separately). Here though they had a full allergen book and could help me work out what was safest for me to eat (including whether the marinades needed to be left off or not). The team were really great and the food was delicious! I tried some sides we don’t have in Australia!

Absolutely delicious chicken that is gluten-free. I have 12 peri-peri wings with mango and lime baste, and it was so good. You can view allergen information at the bottom of this page: https://www.nandosperiperi.com/menu/ (titled “download nutritional information (PDF)”)

This place was great! The staff were so friendly and let me flip through their allergens list to ensure I had nothing in my meal that could contain gluten. I had the rainbow peri bowl without the super seeds! All of their peri sauces (that I tried) are both gluten and dairy free. So yum!! Did not get sick afterward.

I eat here often when I don't have time to cook. Incredibly solid gluten free chicken within 10 minutes. I honestly go here just for the chicken since it's crazy good for fast-food and GF, so I don't know about the sides. Always been good for me and the staff seem knowledgeable about Celiac and cross-contact.

I ate here twice because it was so wonderful! This is a chain fast casual but the food tastes fancy. I got the half chicken with rice and medium sauce the first time, and got chicken skewers with rice the second time. Open fairly late and perfect for takeout if you’re at a conference at Gaylord. You can walk up and ask workers about ingredients if worried, they have a book that outlines allergens.

Food was delicious! Most of the menu is GF. We asked for the allergen menu to confirm everything before ordering. The allergen menu had a column for dairy free which was nice for me. The pineapple lemonade was incredible too! The food came out really fast and the staff were all very nice. I only wish you could make note of your allergy when submitting the order (just in case)

The food was so good! They have an allergen/nutritional menu available up at the counter or you can look at it on your phone by scanning a QR code on the back of the main menu. I’m not celiac so I’m not sure about cross contamination safety but I was able to order chicken with fries and Portuguese rice straight off of the menu with no substitutions, so that was awesome. Very tasty, most of it is dairy free as well, they have non spicy options for those who can’t tolerate the heat, and vegetarian main course options as well (although I believe they are not gluten free). Would recommend!

When I arrived at the restaurant I was given a menu with allergens listed- “wheat” was listed, although “gluten” was not. When I asked about sauces and whether they had vinegar, the employee rolled their eyes and said that all chicken is pre-marinated in a vinegar-based sauce. When I asked if they knew if the vinegar contained malt, the employee rolled their eyes again, laughed, and said they didn’t know. They did provide the fact that their fryers are cross-contaminated. Based on this experience, I did not feel comfortable with eating here with Celiac and left to eat elsewhere.
