A lot of the menu can be made gluten free with the substitution of a gluten free bun (which wasn’t that good but wasn’t a bug deal to me). They assured me that they take allergies seriously, prep the food away from gluten, and change gloves etc. The fries are all gluten free and prepped in a separate fryer. They have a binder that they can consult to check any menu items for any major allergies. The staff was incredibly kind and accommodating.
I’ve only done take out from here, but it’s pretty good and no symptoms! Their gluten free bun honestly is not great when you get take out (maybe it’s better in person) - it doesn’t have the best taste and falls apart super easily. The burger itself though is really good.
A good quick dinner option near Union Station. The menu is not labeled but staff is very knowledgeable about what can be made gluten-free. There is a dedicated fryer for the french fries, woohoo!, and they were great. I had my burger atop the fried brussels sprouts, which I found to be a bit salty. The burger was very good though.
This was a great burger with the best gf bun I’ve had anywhere. The hot honey sweet potato fries were amazing.
Food is great. I have never gotten sick here. I have had most of the fries and a few of the burgers.
My meal here was great. They had gluten free buns and made a note that my order was an allergy. I would definitely return for another meal!
Such an easy experience! My son had burger and Parmesan truffle fries. Delicious and completely safe! Thanks!
Love Hopdoddy for an occasional junk food treat. Dedicated fryer for fries! (Sweet potato!). They offer grass-fed meat! Yay. Alas, just developed an egg allergy, so their GF buns are a no-go for me at present. Sigh. I only give them 4 out of 5 on safety (they try really hard to be safe for us!), yet I only give Exclusively GF restaurants a 5/5 on safety.
They provided a gluten free menu when I asked. Most of the burgers can be gluten free with a gf bun, lettuce wrap or made into a bowl. All of their fries and several of their shakes are or can be made gluten free.
The bun was delicious. My mom said it was better than her regular bun.
They have homemade GF buns. They are ok. They can also do lettuce wrapped burgers and burger bowls. Fries are fried in a dedicated frier.
We stopped here for a weekday lunch - the cashier took my order and then copied the information onto a RED ticket to be provided to the kitchen… what an amazing safety measure! Great burger, great fries. The GF bun was really nice, not the crappy rice ones that other restaurants use but a brown seeded roll (which was visibly different from my kid’s regular bun).
Delicious GF bun and they have a GF menu so that you know it’s a safe option!
Order the bacon jam burger and fries and mentioned I had celiac. Paid. Sat down. The manager came out to let me know the bacon jar had a touch of beer in it, so I asked them to take it off. Really appreciated the concern she took so I didn’t get sick. Great burger; good fries. Would definitely recommend.
I'm not Celiac, just gluten and dairy free, but oh man, this was the best gluten free bun I've had in a while! They had vegan cheddar cheese, but it totally wouldn't have fit with the amazing buffalo bill burger I ordered (mayo + blue cheese removed). They did have a gluten friendly menu at the register! If you have a sensitivity, give it a shot! Those buns blew my mind!
Great food...great service and most importantly, I did not get "glutenned"! Highly recommend!

GF options but not worth the money. The upcharge for GF hamburger bun was $2.25 on top of a $10 burger. Casher said it was "the best GF bun". It was edible but definitely not worth the extra charge. My burger was overcooked and not very flavorful. Fries were good and crispy. I did not get sick but that's not enough for me to go back.
Had a procedure done at Vanderbilt and stopped at this place for lunch. Most burgers can be made GF by ordering as a salad or with a lettuce bun, but GF bun is also available. They have a separate GF menu and the kitchen knows to treat it as an allergy. I had the kale cesear salad, and it was delish! No issues afterwards.
They marked my burger instantly with an allergen alert, the gluten free burger was delicious. The fries are also gluten free!
Are you looking for a great bun on an awesome burger? Come to Hopdoddy. The best gf bun in TN by far. Fries are hot, fresh, and crispy, too! Consistently good.
They make their own GF burger buns in house and they’re so good!
Pretty good…I was a little nervous at first but the manager put me at ease. Great burger and fries…just be careful on where you put your hands after you wash them if you are not using utensils…
Amazing!!! The best GF bun! It's homemade and the best I've ever had.! Grass fed burger and hand cut fries from dedicated fryer. Very knowledgeable and careful about allergies. You should have a burger and fries here.
Good place, have a GF menu and decent options. Plus they have a GF dedicated frier. Food was average in taste.
Great food and a local Austin favorite! They have dedicated fryers for the fries, dedicated prep area for the gluten free buns, and will take all the necessary protocols if you tell them you have a gluten allergy to avoid cross-contact.
Very knowledgeable about allergies and they even have a book with all ingredients with allergens if any. My first time there and staff waked me through the menu. Highly recommend for Celiac.
Received my burger, checked to make sure the toppings were correct by lifting the bun, seemed right, ate a few fries (dedicated fryer)…. Then went to check my son’s burger (also celiac, also gf bun) and it had a different bun. Mine was not a gf bun as requested. Careless mistake that may indeed ruin my first day (at least) of vacation. I wish aebertone was educated on how simple mistakes are so costly to someone that suggested, asked questions, and made it very clear there was a gluten allergy. They were friendly and fixed the mistake but just maybe uneducated or careless. Could Be very costly and detrimental.
Great attitude and extremely helpful.
Dedicated frier for fries. Housemade GF buns. Need I say more?
Look online for the GF/allergen menu. It is not indicated on the in-restaurant menu.

Holy sh*t YES.
If the manager was being straightforward, every fried item has its own dedicated fryer.
Searching for a place that is GF and Grain free is almost impossible. This place can make you ridiculously good burgers that fill you up for CHEAP!
For 13 dollars I got a burger on a HUGE bed of fried Brussels leaves (fried in dedicated fryer) topped with pesto, mushrooms, fried onions, and goat cheese. It was served in a HUGE metal bowl and I was stuffed.
You can also get a large bowl of GF sweet potato fries.
If you choose you can have a GF biscuit/bun for the burger, but the manager wasn’t sure if the flour was grain free or not. I don’t eat rice or corn products so I chose the Brussels and I’m glad I did.
Cmon 13 dollars in a major city for a deluxe burger salad? Get out of here.
Ate twice. Zero symptoms (I typically vomit with gluten).
They were able to accommodate my wife for a Gluten and Dairy allergy. They even had a red tag that says “Allergy” on it to let the cooking staff know of the allergy which follows her plate. They had a gluten free bun for her. Fries were also dairy and gluten free. We will certainly be back! 👌🏼 🫶🏼 🍔

This place was amazing!! Got truffled Brussels and a classic burger in lettuce wrap. They were very good about the gluten free and answered all my questions and reassured me about the measure they take. Food was amazing!
The person taking our order was super helpful and friendly. They make their own gluten free burger buns and have a separate gluten free menu. They were willing to customize an ahi tuna salad to ensure it was gluten free, even though it wasn’t on the gluten free menu. According to the person who took our order, the fries are cooked separately and they take precautions when cooking gluten free orders for those with “an allergy.” They noted that my daughter’s order was due to “an allergy” and I heard the person at the next register ask the customer if her order was due to an allergy or a preference. Service was also fast.
