The food was fine, if a little on the expensive side. I’m very sensitive to cross contact however, and I did get sick from a bowl that was marked as GF on the menu, even though I made sure to ask while ordering if it was a safe choice. I also explained that cross contact will make me sick, but there must have been some. I don’t know if it was because it was a busy day (the day before thanksgiving), but I won’t be going back.
The have GF “flour” tortilla for burritos and mini churros and many other GF options in their menu.
Lots of gf and vegan options and they have an allergen chart that spells out everything that’s gf. The Baja taco and churro bites were delicious.

Very helpful cashier and server. Great food too! My celiac daughter had the three taco plate. Mahi, chicken, and Carne asada. Favorite was Carne asada. Gluten free homemade chips!

Most of the menu is gluten free. Went twice with no issues. Had a guacamole and chips and some of the spicy chicken bowls.
All very tasty, quick and no problems.
Would really recomend for a quick tasty meal.
Delightful food and knowledgeable staff. Only gluten free batter goes into the fryers.

Amazing experience! Most of everything is GF and the servers are very knowledgeable. I loved the many options, friendly staff, and delicious food!
I ordered a bowl, it was fantastic. I asked about cross contamination and was told “they do it all anyway but I’ll tell them if you want”. I love when they are confident but also reassuring.

Tocaya is amazing place to eat! It’s one of our favorites to visit. The Baja tacos and guiltless quesadillas are our favorites, and we LOVE the waffle churros (fried in a separate fryer). A complete must in our opinion!

It’s not every day that a fish taco changes my life, but today was the rare day. OMG! Almost everything in the place is gluten free. AH-MAZINGLY DELICIOUS! The fish is fried in gf batter. Super yum!

Love the fish tacos, you can go a lot of customizations in the app, and the churro waffle bites are gf. Staff here and management is super friendly. They went out of their way to help us and were knowledgeable.
Very dairy free friendly too. I didn’t find it bland though I don’t get chips and salsa — instead was super flavorful. I mostly get tacos and quesadillas and salads. Order online for faster food and then eat when you get there.
For kids I get without sauces and put them on the side. They and the salad dressing can be spicy. There are two spots if you’re picking up at this location or you can use the parking garage if you’re staying longer.
Fine dinner with gluten free fried fish tacos. Tasted great, but quite small so 3 from here equals 2 normal size. The organic margarita was so bitter it was undrinkable. The menu has a very long disclaimer stating that they cannot guarantee anything is gluten free due to the risk of cross contamination. Since the fish are pan fried by themselves I went with that.
Parking is limited to their 8 spots in the lot. Street parking is limited to residents after 6pm.
We love this restaurant! Lots of gf options and the food is so good. We ate there twice while in town, no problems at all!

Great GF and dairy free experience. Had a quesadilla with vegan cheese, chicken and mushrooms- and amazing churro bites with sauce. So good!
Very good California themed Mexican food. Fresh bowls and ingredients. Margherita was so so.
Ate here and it was delicious, and I had no issues.
We had a variety of tacos (really recommend the fried mushroom and the fried mahi mahi), and the quesadillas. The churro bites were also great for dessert.
We didn’t have the bowls, so I can’t say whether they are a safe option.
The one comment I’d make is service was very very slow, so if you’re in a rush this isn’t the place to go to. Apart from that we had a very positive experience.
I was unfortunately glutened here pretty bad despite initially being impressed with the precautions and GF options at first. I won’t be back, not worth the risk.

The food was ok. The kids enjoyed it, especially the churros. The staff didn’t seem knowledgeable about celiac or cross contamination; however, there was only one gluten containing product on the menu. We ate and no one got sick.
I went here with my family while we were on vacation and I have to say, I was not disappointed at ALL. The food was high quality, and there were plenty of gluten-free options. Also, the churro waffles (dessert) hit different! In conclusion, the food was high quality, the location was in a good spot, the place was clean, the workers seemed happy to be there and were nice people, and the waffle churro things are top tier.
Amazing tacos. Pretty much all gluten free expect the flour tortillas. Gluten free breaded mahi mahi and fried mushroom tacos were amazing!! Highly recommend trying it out.

Delicious. We had the fajita del Rey and shrimp en fuego bowls. All customisable. Corn chips are gf. Guac with pomegranate was amazing. Rang first to ask what to avoid. Most of the menu is gf.
We come to LA regularly to visit family, and this is one of our go-to places to get decent, GF, Mexican food—they have a few locations. I tried their GF burrito this time, and it was quite good (I haven’t had a burrito in SO long!) I’m not sure a non-GF person would like it as much, but the wrap stayed together pretty well! Everything is marked on the menu so that’s nice, and there are a lot of options.
Staff needs to be educated on what is safe and menu is inconsistent. Make sure to ask whether corn tortillas are warmed in the same place as the flour ones on the flat top. Answers vary. Did not feel well after my last visit so haven’t been back.
Lots of options including churros! Husband is celiac and didn’t get glutened. It is an order and sit kind of place but very pretty. The person that took our order was very knowledgeable.
I got sick here despite the precautions taken. Not worth it :( although a lot of options are GF, the risk of cross contamination is way too high. I would never recommend to another person who has celiac disease.
I loooooove this place. I haven’t gotten sick there ever and I have celiac disease! Their fryer is celiac safe so you can have battered fish and so many other delicious options. It’s a little pricey, but to me worth it
We went here for lunch since I saw this establishment on this app… I thought it would be safe. I had a Fajita Del Ray bowl and we did order a side of Queso and Chips. I had a few chips and a little Queso and boy did I have a stomach ache and felt terrible all day long. Not what I wanted visiting my kids here in LA… ask questions before you order! We ordered on line, maybe that’s our error.
Meh. Lots of GF options, but the quality of food is underwhelming. The plantain chips were so hard they tasted burnt. The egg in the burrito had the texture of microwaved eggs. Definitely pass if you want good food.

Celiac approved for basic food. Do your own diligence. GF is marked & cc risk. I felt best with a few sides - cilantro rice, black beans & ceviche (no chips).
Loved this place. You can customize bowls to your liking. We were able to make it not spicy for my son. Delicious.
First time here… menus is clearly marked GF and has vegan options too. Delish Strawberry đ Margarita… such a refreshing delight!

I must have had a cross contamination experience because I got pretty sick. đ ordered the tacos, guac, plantain chips. I have eaten here before and was fine so I guess I just need to mention every time that I’m celiac for extra caution to be taken.
They accomodated gf and df really well. I have to avoid other things as well and it wasn't a problem.

So yummy! Nearly their entire menu is gf and is marked well. The tacos and chips were delicious! They also had waffle churro bites that were so good we ordered 3 of them! Even the non-gf people loved the gf food!
Tasty food, casual restaurant. Order at the front and find a seat. Both indoor and outdoor seating. Located at the Point shopping center that has a lawn for kids to run, other eating options that are gf (hopdoddy, simzys, Italian, ice cream, etc). Has vegan and dairy free options. also has gf Churros!!!
The food was delicious and everything was labeled. The waiter was great at explaining all the bowls and tacos. I got the taco sampler. Would highly recommend the chicken tinga taco and burrito Mexicana.
