I work here. No gluten free menu, just an allergen binder. No gluten free bread like the other review said. Cooks will change gloves if asked but you need to specify. I haven’t had a problem here. Soups are iffy though because some have bleu cheese powder and bleu cheese is started with flour or bread for fermentation. Just ask if you are unsure! Good food though!

I asked for a GF menu. I was shown a binder then told the only food I can eat since I ave celiac disease is salmon, broccoli, and all of their salads without the croutons. They are out of so much she said.
Yes
Good food at a reasonable price. Local chain.
Yes
Their book that suppose to identify gluten wasn’t very informative and I think it was missing a few pages.
Very few gluten free options. Their gluten free menu is really just an allergy list. They also did not take into consideration the shared oil in the deep fryer when they made the allergy menu. You have to ask a ton of questions on how things are prepared to find the hidden gluten. Staff is not very knowledgeable. Food is good but the stress of ordering takes away from the enjoyment.
No
My daughter with celiac went there with a friend. They DO NOT have a GF menu like it states on internet. She asked to speak to the manager and the manager didn’t know anything about gluten. She started rattling off things my daughter could possibly eat. I ended up picking her up so as not to risk it at a restaurant that is so clueless!
No
They have a very detailed allergen menu, and were glad to answer any questions I had! I ordered the peach chutney chicken, with broccoli and asparagus, and it was delicious!
Yes
Unless you like salads or potato skins there’s nothing to eat here. Staff is not knowledgeable and they do not have a gluten free menu available.
No
This place is not very gluten free friendly. They give you a large binder to reference while having to look through all allergens and play a matching game with said menu?
Only safe option was cedar planked salmon
No
Don’t have gluten free buns. Not an especially great menu.
Service was not great & slow.
Ingredients listed in a separate menu. The broccoli cheddar soup was supposed to be safe. Horrible glutened stomach pains right after eating.
No
I’m surprised by the 2 positive reviews here. When I went they had no gluten free bread. They do have a binder that lists all the menu items and what allergens they contain, but it’s very general. For instance, it doesn’t differentiate between allergens present in the hamburger patty and those in the hamburger bun. I had the bacon cheeseburger with no bun and the mashed sweet potatoes. I didn’t get sick but the food was not very good.
Very difficult menu to use for GF.
The staff has very little knowledge about gluten or the details of menu items. The manager came over to tell me French fries are gluten free but there would be “transference” and my best option was a salad.
As a celiac, you can choose from maybe 2-3 crappy salads, salmon, or ribs. It was meh at best.

Ordered nashville hot deviled eggs to go. Really, really emphasized that I had a VERY SEVERE gluten allergy, and asked that the chefs change their gloves. The waiter nodded, smiled, and came back with...fried green tomatoes. If they came up with that after all the warnings and specifications I gave them, I did not want to gamble with anything else. Left immediately, will not be returning.
No
No gluten-free menu. They do have an allergen list online, but their menu is very limited in gluten-free items.
Very limited gf menu. Did not end up eating anything
Yes
This would not be my first choice for gluten free in Mooresville, but if you are wanting a place with low prices and something for everyone, this could work. They have an allergen list online, but it was different than the one we were given in the restaurant, so be careful. My daughter was going to get the cornmeal breaded fish and then we found out at the restaurant that it wasn’t safe. Glad we asked! My daughter and I both got salads with grilled chicken. I was told that mine needed to be done plain, but my daughter’s was made with the spices. She didn’t feel too great later, so I’m guessing her’s should have been done plain too. Everyone else had ribs, steak, or salmon and it was fine. Nothing special, but with some work to figure out safe food, it works.
They get one star for having an allergen binder. I had to even bring my own butter! Allergen grid hard to follow and staff not knowledgeable or trained. Not going back, food just ok.
No
Allergan list was out of date from menu, cumbersome to read and not much to choose from. Tortilla chips are not GF, steak was really dry and garlic butter is not GF so you can’t add it
When I ate here, I had salmon and requested they not put any sauce on it. I also had a baked potato with sour cream and butter, and sautéed vegetables. I told the server I could not have gluten and she and the chef made sure it was safe. The food was delicious and I did not get sick.
Had a notebook of ingredients in all their food! They were wonderful.
Yes
There are few options and they cannot promise to prevent cross-contamination. However, I had no ill effects. I did tell the server that I had to be gluten free when I ordered.
Great food and lots of options. Had plank salmon...delicious.
The staff was not knowledgeable. No gf menu but give a allergen list. Basically the only gf options are the California salad, potato and tomato soup, ribs or salmon
Obvious that there is no training for GF. Only the manager had an idea, but not very sure himself, as we were asked if potatoes contain gluten when taking our order. Had to send salad back, as it was served with croutons, which we instructed to leave off. Don't risk it.

What a horrible experience. I was in town visiting relatives. I asked for gluten free menu. The manager brought a notebook which he just showed me, then proceeded to tell me that the best option was for me to order a California Chicken Salad. He assured me it would be made in a separate area with all precautions being taken to make sure my meal was safe. (I'm sure there were other options but I never was able to hold the notebook.). I decided that if that was the item recommended, I would take his advice. My family ordered from the regular menu. I specifically asked the waiter to bring mine out separately to reduce more risk of cross contamination. Well.... just before the food was brought to our table, our waiter told us that he had been taken off the floor and a waitress would be taking our table. I again asked him to make sure mine was brought separately and he assured me it was being taken care of by the new waitress. However, my family watched as the food was being brought out and mine was not in the tray but being brought out with the other meals. But the former waiter caught her, took my meal and took it back in the kitchen and waited 2 minutes then brought it out. When I was told this, I called him back over and asked and he said that it was not supposed to be picked up by her. He again said it was safe. I prayed over my food with every bite. Then things got worse, the waitress came over to see if we needed water or anything, not noticing that one person has a totally empty glass! Wanted to know how the checks were to be split. We told her but also told her that the others had ordered a meal that came with pie. She was gone for 15-20 minutes. After that long, I went looking for the manager and had to ask for him to be sent to our table. He came over and I explained what all had happened and he said that the waiter was still assigned to our table but he would see about getting the pies to go because we needed to go now. Guess what, they were now out of pie!! He told us that he would take care of the bill and apologized for our experience. Not recommended, never again!!!

Service has been awful both times I have been there recently. I have heard friends say the same.
They were very thorough to ensure that what I was eating was safe. The manager was excellent and also assured me that he assisted the cook to make sure that the grill was clean before putting any of my food on it. Great service and lots of attention to my allergy! Highly recommend!
Yes
They have a binder with allergens available, but served my omelette with toast laying on top when I specifically told them I was gluten free and did not want toast or Parmesan potatoes which according to the binder have wheat in them. They did quickly make me a new omelette.
Called and said there was not gluten free menu available
Waitresses are clueless as to what gluten free or Celiac disease means. Even after ordering a bland meal, I was served something I did not order that was not gluten free. Terrible place for Celiacs.
No
Not a bad place to eat, but the restaurant "couldn't find the menu" for gluten free eating. Given a confusing nutritional menu that was not up to date, and all I could have was a salad. Completely disappointed.
Had a good experience, waitress was very diligent to make sure my food was prepared correctly. I had the Cesar salmon salad. It was wonderful, salmon was very flavorful. We would eat here again. I gave them 4 stars because they don't have a designated fryer or gf dessert.
When asked for a gluten free menu I got a 3 ring binder! A good amount of choices but I didn't understand why some of the dishes were prepared with extra ingredients like milk in broccoli..??.. I had the top sirloin with mashed sweet potatoes and broccoli and it was very good.
wish there was more options
They have no idea what gluten is. They hand you a huge allergen guide and you have to sort thru it to try to figure out what has wheat in it. No other grains are considered. Waiters look at you weird when you tell them you can't have gluten and they keep offering you things you can't have. Awful meal after only a couple choices in entire menu.
lots of GF options. I always get a sandwich with GF bread.
delicious gf food! i love o'charleys ❤
Yes
There are almost no choices and no understanding of what GF actually means so getting sick is easy. I go simply because my family loves it. I have found that I have always been safe with a loaded baked potato, the grilled steak and a salad when requested it be made fresh with no croutons.
Be very cautious!

Great lunch of 6 ounce Salmon, broccoli and mashed sweet potatoes.
Ordered gluten free but got very sick. Likely cross contamination even though I informed the waitress. I will not be back.
I asked if they had any gluten free options. The waitress had to go ask the chef. The answer was "no". I ended up with a salad without crutons.
No
I struggle with what rating to give. There were both some positives and some negatives.
Here is my story. I was on a motorcycle and a storm had just passed. There was deep standing water on the highway and I needed gas. My plan was to eat at a resturant in Indianapolis I had researched, but thought this would be a good time to allow the highway to dry off some. While fueling up, I checked my FindMeGlutenFree app and found O'Charlies had no reviews, but did have an allergen menu. In addition to Celiac, I have egg and dairy allergies.
I ask for the allergen menu as I was being seated. The menu was a copy of a copy of a copy of a copy and the type was about the size of a phone book. I couldn't read it. I think if the print was larger or not a blurry copies, I would have been fine. So, I asked the waitress for help. She didn't know what Celiac was or gluten, and even her 20-year old eyes were having problems with the menu, plus it didn't make sense how it was organized. At this point, I am just about ready to find someplace else, but she called the manager over, Donny Rathbone. He also couldn't decipher the menu, but asked my needs and helped me with the menu. He made multiple trips to the kitchen to check with the chef and read ingredients. I decided on the planked salmon with vegetables and bar chips. I asked if the chips were fried in a dedicated gluten free fryer, and he said, unfortunately, no they were not. But, he said, if that is what you want, I will cook them myself in a frying pan with new oil. I asked if the vegetables were sauteed in butter. Again, he went to ask. He came back and said I was in luck, that they don't actually use any real butter in the store, only a buttery tasting soy oil that contains no dairy.
My order came out, the manager made the comment that he cooked most of it himself and that he wanted to make sure that it just didn't agree with me, but also tasted wonderful. It really was pretty good, although I was not thrilled in the amount of soy they use. Anyway, had a great dinner and the roads were reasonable dry and I headed back off on my bike.
Cons: The allergen menu was both unreadable and confusing. Not all the staff has been trained in food allergies (but to her credit, she knew it was a big deal and handed me off to the manager). I am concerned that a better restaurant like O'Charlies doesn't use real food ingredients.
Pros: The manager took care of me and the food I ordered was delicious.
So, I probably won't seek our an O'Charlies and a gluten-free safe destination, but if I happen to find myself in Greenfield, Indiana again and Donny is working, this is a viable option.
