I went here for a private party with 60+ people but they still gave me very personalized attention to my GF / Celiac diet. I could eat the cheeses, salads, and eggplant dish for appetizer and then had delicious assortment of chicken, pork, steak for dinner with potatoes and vegetables. They specifically brought family style platters to me saying “this is gluten free”. Amazing! I get symptoms from gluten and was 100% fine after eating here. They even brought out a delicious chocolate molten cake that GF for me! Highly recommend. The staff is knowledgeable and very attentive to GF diet.
I visited the Barcelona Wine Bar last night and had an amazing experience. The menu was marked up showing what was safe. There is a separate friar for the potatoes (which were delicious). Huge wine and food selection. I would highly recommend!!!

Amazing experience! The hostess handed me a gluten free marked menu before we even sat down. And they have a dedicated gluten free fryer!!!! Update - also went for brunch and had the same experience! They definitely take allergies seriously here.

I told them I was GF and DF, and they marked my menu with what I could order… and it was about 75% of it!! The patatas bravas was soooo delicious, and their meat platter was great for a whole table to share. This is definitely a small plates/everyone share kind of place. A little expensive, but I think well worth it for a group dinner.

Great service - marked GF items on menu. Cognizant of cross contamination. And wonderful food.
One thing - they have a beer on their menu marked gluten free, it's actually a gluten reduced beer so it's not.

We had a really nice meal, the server took the time to mark up our menu of what was GF and what could be made GF. was very excited to eat here again as the previous time we had a great experience too. Unfortunately I was so sick the next day. My partner is not celiac and was not sick the next day so I’m fairly confident it was because I got glutened. I’m not sure what happened or if there was a slip up with a dish not being rung in as GF. The first time we ate here the dishes had allergy labeled toothpicks, this time there were no markers. Possible cause of my sickness? I felt like I checked and double checked with the server so many times through out the meal. Not sure if I feel safe coming back.

I will say, the staff was very helpful in telling me what was GF/not but I wound up very sick the minute I got home. Sadly… I can’t say that this was a good experience for me even though the food tasted great. I was glutened.

Lunch at Barcelona. The staff is very knowledgeable about Celiac and cross contamination. The manager Chris came by on his own to assure us of the protocols used.
The food was outstanding. We had several tapas, goat cheeses and salad.

Terrible service, asked about GF, celiac safe options and the waitress looked at me like I had 2 heads. They were very unorganized, seemed confused as to who was doing what. Got sick after eating there. Should have known with the waitresses response to GF items.

I felt so safe eating here! They have a dedicated fryer for gf items and the waitress marked our menu with the gf options. We had the patatas bravas, brussel sprouts, bacon wrapped dates, and whipped sheep’s cheese along with lots of wine and it was all so delicious! It’s been several hours and I’ve had no reaction!

Staff was super friendly and knowledgeable, especially our servers and the manager. Will absolutely go back. As soon as I said I had celiac, our server asked if I wanted the menu marked up with what was safe to order -- came back with so many options that are GF or able to be modified. For example, they *do not* have a dedicated GF fryer, but they are able to make some of the dishes by pan frying instead. We ordered all tapas -- scallops with sunchoke puree (GF with no bread crumbs on top), iberico ribs, pork belly, and patatas bravas (pan fried), all so delicious. When I saw that there were GF dessert options that weren't just fruit or plain ice cream, I somehow made room -- got the chocolate cake (flourless) with coffee/mocha creme anglaise, so good! For the record, I'm a symptomatic celiac and I did not get sick or feel uncomfortable at any point. Looking forward to going back and trying other options also.

We sat at the bar and they marked the menu for me. Short ribs sounded great so we ordered short ribs, potato tortilla and roasted carrots. I get tapas, but two tiny slivers of short rib was inadequate for $18. Food tasted good and servers were so very helpful and attentive. We will go back…just not hungry.

Meh. Very fancy (if that’s what you’re looking for). I was excited to check it out. Been to Barcelona city a few times and had great food experiences.
No one offered to write on my menu, nor give good gluten free suggestions. Menu isn’t easy to navigate unless you have deep familiarity with Spanish special and regional foods. I couldn’t google as much as I wanted to having social time with a group of friends.
I *extracted* gf info from our busy server, my group ordered a couple of meh boards and a tapa. We arrived intentionally during happy hour but were not given that menu to look at. Bread crumbs do fly everywhere. It’s dark inside once it’s evening - to the point where we couldn’t easily see our food or possible cross contact, having both gf and bread on a big table. I think I made it through okay, didn’t eat as much as I wanted.
Wine was great! Loved the small pour option. Server seemed too busy to talk about the wine but it was clear they knew their stuff. There were empty tables around us though. I don’t mind spending money on good food. Overall it was weird. I think you could make it much safer if you visit with folks who don’t care about having bread.

This place is AMAZING! It is a great spanish restaurant style tapas restaurant. The patatas bravas WERE TO DIE FOR! Dedicated fryer - the chef even came in to verify the separate fryer. The waitresses marked the menu off of what isn’t GF. We had the patatas bravas, potato tortilla, radicchio, paella verduras, and parillada barcelona, & even the basque cheesecake! The wines & sangria (especially buns&roses) were great! It is a very popular restaurant so would recommend booking a reservation!

I’m in love with this place. If Barcelona had 1,000 customers, I’m one of them. If they had 100 I’m one of them. If they had 10, I’m one of them. If they had one customer, it’s me.
If they have no loyal customer left on Earth it’s because I’m dead. I’m so serious when I say go here if you haven’t.

I’ve been here so many times and been totally fine, but unfortunately got glutened last week. They don’t mark their food with a flag or anything when they bring it to your table, and they don’t confirm it’s gluten free when they put it down. The waitress said they have a dedicated GF fryer now - in the past I’ve ordered potatas bravas and they’ve pan cooked the potatoes for me to be safe from cross contamination. I was feeling sick within 10 minutes of eating the potatoes. I won’t be coming back to this location. The one in the south end is much better with confirming safety.

I asked the server what was gluten free and they took a highlighter and marked directly on the menu every item that could be made gluten free. I was also told they had a separate fryer. Additionally, other (different) food runners stated what items being brought to the table were ordered gluten free (which was nice being in a larger group with multiple repeat orders). I felt safe eating here and would definitely go back.

The server usually X’s out the items I can’t have which is nice. I will say on two separate occasions they told me to not get anything fried in the gluten free fryer because someone accidentally used it for a non-gluten free items. Maybe that was just bad luck but now I always ask them to make sure just in case.

I’ve been to Barcelona now a number of times and have had an amazing experience each time. They will mark what you can and cannot eat in the menu, and are very good about communicating with the kitchen. The only downside is they have no separate fryer but they will do the dish in the oven if possible!

Great service and delicious food. A large portion of the Tapas are gluten free or are dips that can come with veggies instead of bread. No charcuterie or cheese is safe because that section of the kitchen is full of bread crumbs. The menu changes every few days, so our waiter took a copy into the kitchen to check what was safe today. I especially recommend the Chicken Thigh and the Pulpo Gallegos.

Great GF experience. As a celiac, it’s rare to go to a restaurant and not feel like you’re getting a different meal than everyone else. Like another person posted, they wrote on the menu exactly when I could have it was most of the menu! I LOVED both the gambas (shrimp) and the chicken thigh. The eggplant Caponata was a bit too sweet for my taste, but it was still good. Also, they gave me gluten-free bread for free, but it tasted like Udi’s not homemade so I didn’t eat much of it. Can’t wait to go back and try the other items.
