Gluten-Free at Wahlburgers

Great, safe spot to get a quick burger and fries. The burger was absolutely delicious. I not only have celiac, but I’m super allergic and I had no reaction whatsoever. The only negative thing I have to say is that it is six dollars for one fountain soda, which is just ridiculous.

Service was great, food was excellent. A separate fryer for tots and fries, hubs had the patty melt with fries and we split the flight of tots. Bbq sauce had gluten in it, so only non-celiacs could have that, but all gluten free sauces were was excellent!

I was in AC again for some poker tournaments and was tired of eating my own food so I decided to stop by Wahlburgers based on the reviews here.

I confirmed from the hostess that they have gf options and sat down at the bar. I met the bartender, Joe, and asked for the gf menu. He said they are very careful and the kitchen follows strict gf protocols.

I ordered the super melt and tots and I saw Joe make sure he put in the notes for a celiac. I chatted a lot w Joe while i waited and he suggested some other gf options around town especially Amada, the high end Spanish place in the Ocean.

When the food came out, I was very happy. It was a great looking burger. It was even better tasting. This was one of the best burgers I’ve had. It was juicy and full of flavor. The tots were tasty as well. I was a very happy Celiac.

Overall great experience and wonderful food. I’m going to be a going back when I want to blow my diet in AC.

In terminal E I asked the guy handing out orders about allergies and he had a packet that showed everything - fries and tots are GF! And it doesn’t look like it at first when you’re ordering but you can get the burger without a bun.

I had a wonderful burger on a plate of lettuce with tomato and onions. When I found out that the fries are only fried by themselves with canola oil, I skipped the gluten free bun option and had fries. I must be gluten, dairy and soy free which makes eating out difficult.

Separate fryer for tots and fries, gf bun is toasted separate from regular buns, and burgers are fried in their own part of the grill. All ice creams are gf, but milkshakes can have malt added malt meaning there can be cross contamination in the blender. The server informed us that the blenders are only rinsed in between shakes so they aren’t able to be properly cleaned. Otherwise great options and no reaction from a sensitive celiac!

This was the best burger I have had in a while and the gluten free bun made it even better. If you haven’t been before, they are homemade buns so they look way more legit than a prepackaged udis bun. We asked our server to confirm that all fries, tots, etc are made in a dedicated fryer and it was such a good and filling meal.

The worst burger I’ve ever had in my life and terrible workers . Laughable . The worker yelled and cursed at me when I asked if the shakes were gluten free , I complained to the manager , Mike, and he was friendly and made me a free shake . The cooks were extremely rude , unprofessional, and untrustworthy to make food . Didn’t make any part of my burger correctly , and it tasted awful . Wouldn’t eat here whatsoever , ever again in my life 😂

I always look forward to making a trip to Wahlburgers while I’m in Atlantic City. The Super Melt is delicious! They offer gluten free bread and buns. The fries and tator tots are cooked in separate dedicated fryers.

We ordered a hot dog and fries off the kids menu and added a gluten free hamburger bun. I asked our server if she could please bring out my child’s food separate away from the gluten food and she came back to tell me that the manager was going to make his food herself. The manager brought out my son’s food separately and even came back to ask how things were. I really appreciated them going out of there way to make his food safely. We will definitely be back!

They do not have safe any Gluten free options. They used to carry gluten free buns but they don’t anymore and they use the grill to toast buns as well so while the meat is gluten free it touches it.

They discontinued their gluten free bun, and the fries are coated and fried in the same fryer. So a plain burger or salad are your options here. There are tater tots but it’s fried in the same fryer as the other gluten items. No longer a good option for celiacs in my opinion.

My daughter has celiac and gets seriously ill from cross contamination. We ate here safely. The server was knowledgeable and double checked that the wahl sauce and garlic aoli were gluten free. The bacon is also celiac safe. She had a burger with gf bun, fries, and the parmesan truffle tots, which were absolutely delicious and gluten free. Horrible. Server didn't know much and wouldn't have even bothered asking the kitchen if I didn't ask him to at least check. We finally decided on 2 plain hot dogs for my son and nothing else. No bun, no fries because they use the fryer to do other items. The hot dogs came out on buns. Had to send them back. Then the came out over 15 minutes later. They charged us 12$ a dog. 24$ for two plain hot dogs.

My airport go to!! They were out of the gluten free bun when I was there but I got the Jenny’s salad and fries (separate safe fryer).
