Very friendly staff, they did great with my gluten allergy. I was pleasantly surprised by the amount of options for me! I got moist brisket and baked beans (with brisket) and a drink, both were delicious however the brisket was on the dryer side and I do wish the beans had more brisket in them, I had maybe 3 strings of meat in my serving. Great variety of sauces also!! Overall I’d come here again for a quick and solid $20 meal.
*Staff could not confirm if the fries were fried in non-cross-contaminated oil* safest bet is to not order those.

I’ve eaten here many times and one of the few places I feel 100% safe. They announce a gf order and then someone stays with the order the whole way so there is no chance of a mistake. The food is delicious and most of the menu is gf

We had a wonderful experience here. The cashier was very helpful and knowledgeable about what items were gluten free and what was not. They have an allergen menu. There are tons of delicious options! I specially asked about the fries and was assured that the fries are the only thing cooked in the fryer. I am also dairy free and easily found options that were both gf and df. During our meal, several team members came to our table to ensure we had everything we needed. The manager even brought around extra fries and samples of brisket. I had no symptoms of gluten exposure after our visit here.

We went here for dinner tonight after seeing good reviews. The employees were very knowledgeable on the gluten free items. They have a dedicated fryer for just fries and most of their sauces were gluten free as well. My daughter is celiac and loved the food! We felt very safe eating here and my daughter had no issues afterwards. Will 100% be back!

I have celiac and am very sensitive. I ate here twice while visiting. They were very knowledgeable about what was gluten free, and their fries were gluten free too! The first time I didn’t get sick. The second time they were very busy and I did get cross contaminated. I’d recommend eating here when they’re slow, but not when they’re busy.

Let them know when you order that you have a gluten intolerance and they will take precautions when preparing your order. All meats and sauces gf. Many sides are gf including baked beans, green beans, potato salad, green beans, and hand cut fries which are made in a dedicated fryer.

Good for Celiac. They do not have a separate kitchen, but they clean their spaces and change their gloves every time GF is ordered. They also have dedicated GF fryers, so I can get fries!! I do get nervous sometimes, but I’ve never had an issue and have been here MANY times. Only issue that happened was one time, I found a piece of Mac and cheese in my green beans. Luckily, I had not eaten them yet so I did not have any stomach problems. After that, I realized that some of the side options are all next to each other in the kitchen. The safest option that I get every time now is one of the GF meat options from the meat market with a side of GF fries.

Awesome experience here. The staff is clearly knowledgeable! Did a pickup order and the girl behind the counter saw the celiac note I added, immediately changed gloves, and then opened each container to show what was inside. My husband’s cornbread was wrapped and kept separate, and she also knew what sauces were GF (all but one of the tangy ones). Oh and the food was delicious, too! Haha

Love their food. When you order and let them know your order is gluten free they will be very careful with your order. I’ve found the team there to be very knowledgeable and if they are not sure they will take the time to double check. It is a great option and I really enjoy their food. My favorite is the shrimp (it is a seasonal item) and pulled chicken with Memphis belle and coleslaw.

Best bbq I’ve had in a while. Fries were in a designated fryer and it’s the first time I’ve been able to eat any in over a year. Hospitality was amazing and I love the support for first responders and military. 10/10. Can’t recommend enough.

I usually have a great experience here, but had trouble yesterday. I went in for a to go order of just fries. I watched the guy get fries out of the fryer without changing his gloves. The fries then sat for 5 or more minutes getting cold before they tried to give them to me. I told them I didn’t want cold fries and he hadn’t changed his gloves and that they were for a gluten free order. He changed his gloves and dropped my fries in the fryer. I watched him touch multiple utensils and buns with those gloves. When the fries were done, I could tell he was going to get them out and hadn’t changed his gloves after touching all those things. I was able to stop them and a manager got them for me safely. I’ve never had a problem here, but there would have been cross contamination if I hadn’t been standing at the counter waiting for them.

Love Mission BBQ! They are very mindful of gluten free contact and cross contamination. I had pulled pork with gluten free fries. Delicious! My daughter and I shared the platter and they put her gluten side (Mac n cheese) on a separate platter so as not to contaminate my dish. Every location I've been to around the country operates the same way and I'm never worried about getting sick here.

This was an amazing experience! I had never been to a Mission BBQ before. When I walked in, I told them I was gluten free, and he immediately offered me a gluten free menu and explained it. My husband ordered from the regular menu and I ordered from the gluten free menu. The person taking the order made sure to clarify that my order was to be gluten free. The person filling my order changed his gloves, wiped down his station, the cutting boards, utensils, everything that my food would touch so there was no cross contamination. It was amazing to see how aware they were of this allergy. I highly recommend coming here and watching them in action and tasting their delicious food!

Had to order pulled pork because they were out of brisket. Thank goodness I stood there and watched. They did not change gloves or the cup that they use to place meat on the bun. She did change gloves to do fries. I told the manager, Ms. Ellen and was dismissed. I told her I was not taking the meat, since they had not changed their gloves or the cup. She finally said they would fix a new one and I could sit down and wait. I told her I would stand there and watch as my condition is serious. Thank goodness I did. I watched the woman that ultimately prepared mine. Several times she touched several buns and reached inside the meat container to pat the meat down before dipping a container in to scoop the meat out. She touched the container with gloves that had just held buns. So meat hands and a container that has been exposed to gluten. This isn't the worst part. The manager argued with me that all they had do was remake mine with a clean cup. After all it's what they do for all people that are gluten free. I said no, the meat is contaminated and I want my money back. She walks over grabs a clean cup, turns and shakes it at me. I said I want the money back for the meat. She completely disregards my request and starts to proceed with remaking my meat. I basically have to make a scene to get my money back and stop the woman. Others step in and take over for her apologizing and returning my money. This place is not safe. I probably was lucky in the past because the brisket didn't have to be mashed before they scooped.

I was a regular here for two years. It was close to work and I thought it was safe. A few times I wondered if they were the source of me getting glutened. As I was checking out during my most recent visit I observed their staff handling buns and cornbread and then reaching into the bins of meat and tearing the meat apart with the same gloves he used to handle wheat products. I ended up talking to an employee and they said it was gf because everyone knew me and made sure my order was gf when they saw me walk in. I explained that I saw them contaminate a whole bin of chicken and they went and talked to a manager. They simply scooped some meat from the same bin and brought me a new plate. I explained I still couldn’t eat it cause the bin was unsafe. They stood there said sorry and walked away. I advocated for myself and asked for a refund. The manager refunded my check, tore the receipt and stuck out her arm for the employee to take it. It felt like her saying to get me out of there. No apology from the manager, no attempt to make it right or make me feel safe. After supporting them and eating there 2-3 times a week. My wife and I messaged Mission BBQ about what happened and never heard back. They don’t seem to really understand or care about those of us that have to eat gluten free.
