Great service, good food. The wings with "buff-Q" sauce were amazing. Chopped pork was a little dry, I would skip it next time. Ribs were tender, and the beans and slaw were delicious.

They have a GF menu with a small but satisfactory amount of options. Food came out fast and there was a lot of it. Tasty enough too. Overall a good experience.

Depends on the staff, but with some explanation and reiterating how to keep me safe (I.e. change gloves, bread cannot touch my food, etc) I find this place safe and delicious. They have a separate GF menu taped to the counter, but not all servers know that. The meat is clean, you add the sauce and it is GF. I have eaten here a couple of times and was fine.

They have a menu with gluten free items listed. Make sure you take them to have the prep cook use new gloves and ask for no bread, which is included in every meal. We had ribs with baked beans and slaw. Very good. I recommend Shane's.

Really good ribs! Also great grilled chicken tenders. They were very careful once I told them I have celiac. They put it in the computer and then went in back to be sure they knew to change gloves. Great meal and didn’t get sick.

Oh dear lord. Months ago I tried it. not good, tried again last night. BBQ plate ordered off gluten free menu advised them, the whole routine. It was awful. BBQ was cold, green beans were hot though. I only ate them and half the bbq before my stomach said no. Green beans killed. Evil evil evil.

The guy working was super sweet. I am a very cautious celiac and he put gluten allergy on the ticket 4 times just to make me feel better lol. I got the barbecue chicken plate with coleslaw and baked beans. It was really good and I didn’t get sick. Adding this to the list of safe places in montgomery!!

Great quick-casual BBQ (and we’re from Texas!). All the BBQ plates are GF, minus the Texas toast. For sides, the baked beans and coleslaw were both GF and both very good. Once the guy at the counter taking our order heard our daughter needed GF, he went back and told the kitchen so they could handle her order specially. Would absolutely eat here again.

It was fine. The staff didn't know what gluten was. That was frustrating. So I just got a pulled pork salad. It was fine. Not mind blowing, but I didn't expect it to be. It'll do for a lunch.

Not good. I was okay with the hour wait time because they were upfront about it but we waited an hour for bland, cold, tough chicken, flavorless green beans, and stomach upset. My non-gf partner’s burger was “disgusting”. I really wanted to like this place but we had no luck here.

The guy who waited on us went as far as to ask how sensitive I was. He went straight to kitchen to tell them I have Celiacs, not just allergy or sensitive, while we waited. Also he brought my food out to me with no other food in his hands. He told me he had just washed his hands as well.

We came here based on great reviews from this app and I was super disappointed. I did not get sick, however the quality of service and food was terrible. We waited 30 minutes to get our food while there were 4 other people in the entire restaurant. The “gluten sensitive” menu is extremely limited to about 5 items - I ordered the ribs and they were dry and tasteless. I truly never leave bad reviews but if you’re looking for good GF BBQ, this isn’t the place for you

This place was amazing! After browsing their menu online I still had a few questions. We called and they were able to answer all of the questions. They even took the name of our order (we ordered online) and said they would package the GF meal in its own bag for delivery. And they did! This was my first time in the area but will be returning on multiple occasions and Shane’s is now on the “must” list for me. Food was delicious and even had leftovers for lunch the next day!

Thank you, Shane’s, for training your employees to provide safe meals for Celiacs. Our toddler was able to enjoy baked beans, coleslaw, green beans,, chicken and ribs while we were on vacation down there.

Amazing ribs, fall off the bone and very meaty!!! Very Celiac friendly as well as a very friendly staff. Will stop in again when I'm in the area.
They are not strictly gluten free however they are very knowledgeable and confident about there gluten free options. I had the chicken plate with cole slaw and green beans.

Absolutely love Shane's Rib Shack, I am totally gluten-free and have eaten there many times and never had a bad experience they are awesome!
I’m a newly diagnosed celiac and it makes me nervous/feel awful to ask a restaurant to change their gloves or ask if something is gluten free. Shane’s Rib Shack has a dedicated menu for gluten sensitivity as well as celiacs. The menu is small, but over at this location, the surrounding area is pretty much impossible to find a gluten free option. The cashier was very sweet and attentive to my needs and informed me that when the food came out, they prepared it on a separate station and had their cook change his gloves. They were fantastic and I couldn’t recommend this place enough! I had the pulled pork salad with blue cheese dressing and it was very tasty.

We ate here with my toddler who has Celiac while we were in town visiting my in laws. We have had Shane’s before in other larger cities and I know they are pretty legitimate when it comes to gluten free options. They are aware at the cooperate level and I think they train their employees pretty well. Even if the employees may not understand celiac, at least they have text book procedures that the cooks abide by. We ordered the half smoked chicken with coleslaw and salad. The menu didn’t list which dressings were gluten free so I asked them just to use one that was, our daughter is not picky about what kind. When they brought her food out, it had the Texas toast on top of it (after I had ordered off the gluten free menu and made a point to mention “no toast of course”). The waitress quickly and without hesitation took it back and they completely replaced her chicken. She was very sweet and very apologetic and said the cook was also. So I think the confusion came down the the cashier, she must not have marked it as a gluten free order. I’m not positive, however, she didn’t seem to really understand gluten free when I was talking to her. However, they were slammed (Sunday after church!), and everyone was very nice, and my daughter had a delicious meal and did not get sick one bit, so I feel safe feeding her there and we will be back.

Great GF BBQ menu! My 12 year old claimed their ribs “the best ribs I’ve ever had”. Service was very knowledgeable and served individually packed bbq sauces with the meal so as not to cross contaminate. Were careful with the sides served as well. Our sides arrived with our meal in covered dishes versus the non gf people at our table whose were not separated nor covered. Food and service was great! Would definitely go back.

Gluten free daughter had pulled pork & bake beans, delicious and plentiful for sure!!! The staff was nice and helpful.
They have a separate gluten free menu. Staff were knowledgeable. The ribs and the baked beans were fabulous. Service was great. All of their BBQ sauce is GF except for the teriyaki.

Shane's has always been a good option and chain to go to when we are traveling.
My salad was good and came out GF and I had no issues.
But wish I could give this Shane's a 3.5 stars for its service and cleanliness. Service was terrible - I think only one staff member cared about her place of employment (she was cleaning, picking up and talking to customers), the rest were just useless in my mind. Just stood there and acted as if you were bothering them to give your order.
This was by far the dirtiest Shane's I have ever been too. Corporate you need to come check this branch out.
I will avoid this one in the future and only return as a last resort.

After having to leave another restaurant due to false info about GF availability, I called Shane’s before we wasted more of our time! Shane’s DOES HAVE A GF menu, it’s simple but still a good amount of options to actually enjoy a REAL TASTY MEAL OUT! And didn’t seem to suffer any gluten symptoms after!👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼
