This place is so good for gluten free pizza, and I even got dairy free cheese. 10/10 experience, was able to easily order online
I have been here many times before and had good luck, however it seems that some of there procedures have changed and they used the same spoon to spread sauce on the gluten crusts and the gluten free crusts.
The staff were extremely knowledgeable and accommodating and the pizza was delicious! My daughter has celiac and was so happy with the understanding of the staff.
Sensitive Celiac It is cafeteria style. I was able to see my pizza being made, and taken out the oven. They were very careful with my gluten free pizza. Changed gloves, used different pans and cutter for gluten free only pizza. Staff was knowledgeable and friendly. Pizza was good.
For whatever reason, they can't seem to get the order correct when we order gluten free, and this has happened multiple time. I realize mistakes happen, but this exceeds the occasional mistake. As good as the pizza is, its time to go elsewhere.
I had the best pizza of my life here and the workers were cautious about cross contamination. Although they cannot guarantee anything will be contaminated, they used a different tray while cooking and changed their gloves before making my pizza. They also have a choice between a gluten free crust or a cauliflower crust.
Cross contamination EVERYTHING!!!! First of all the employee made a gluten pizza before mine (I’m also vegetarian and there was meat on the pizza that she touched with her gloves) and I ordered a gluten free one and I had to ask her to change her gloves. All the toppings have other toppings in their little dishes. I watched this woman drop a topping on the counter and scoop it back up and put it on someone’s pizza. That’s disgusting. There is so much cross contamination here it is awful.
I eat here all the time and most of the time I don’t worry too much about cross contamination as much as a should. When you order a gluten free pizza here, there is a likely chance of contamination. If you specifically tell them you have a gluten allergy they will make the pizza in the back. I have only told them once though so I am not sure if all of the staff is aware of this.
Awesome pizza place.
At first it takes a minute to read the menu - they mark the items that have Gluten. 95% of the menu toppings are GF.
When you order your pizza and tell them it is GF for an allergy they write it down and make the pizza in the dedicated kitchen space in the back.
Then the GF pizzas (only GF) are baked on the top rack of the oven to prevent cross contamination.
The pizza was delicious (I did not get sick) and we will be back.
The menu was hard to read. It was on a display they kept changing. When I asked about gluten free, I was asked allergy or preference. When I said I have celiac, the employee said I just cannot have barbecue sauce or meatballs. The staff changed gloves and made the pizza on the back counter, using food in separate containers in a back frig. It was placed on the top of the conveyor belt oven. I am not sure if gluten pizzas are also placed there. When it came out, another employee asked if I needed the cold toppings from the back. No problem. Only the sauce is from the front, used for all pizzas. I declined it, as I prefer he not touch a glutened container. It was delicious and I was not sick. I will go back. I appreciate all the steps they take.
Ate here tonight, I got the gluten-free cauliflower crust and the workers were very nice. I said I have a gluten allergy and asked for them to make it off the line, they had no problem! Pretty much the entire menu of toppings, sauces, etc. is gluten-free, except for the barbecue sauce, the meatballs, the breadsticks, and of course the regular pizza crust I ordered a custom pizza with a number of different sauces and toppings and did not get sick. An added bonus is hopes cookies is also attached to snap pizza so I splurged and got myself chocolate chip and snickerdoodle gluten-free cookies. They were already baked, delicious and I did not get sick!
So tasty and has a really good chew on the crust! They are always careful if you tell them allergy!
My husband and two children all have celiacs and we have had their gluten free pizza on several occasions and have never had any issues. I highly recommend.
Snap recently changed there allergy policy and now do not accommodate to allergies. I ate there thinking I could risk it and got really sick. Depends on your sensitivity you would maybe be able eat there but I wouldn’t risk it definitely not celiac safe.
Daughter got the GF crust on a regular cheese pizza. It was tasty and she didn’t get sick. It was cooked on a special tin to keep it separate from the cooking surface.
UPDATE: They are no longer safe for celiacs. I was told by the girl working there that they do not use allergy protocol anymore for gluten because it was getting too time-consuming and they are understaffed. I understand this, but was disappointed that it was never posted anywhere, and wasn't mentioned to me even though I said "severe gluten allergy" when ordering. I watched the kid working there put my three GF pizza crusts down on top of the counter covered in flour! When I mentioned something, he rolled his eyes and tried to brush the flour off they tray with his hand. I walked out without my food. It's a shame because their pizzas are really good, but we can never go back.
Amazing!!!!! Found on this app and it lived up to the other reviews. I told them that I was GF and they changed gloves. I made my own with herb butter, fresh mozzarella, jalapeños, pepperoni and hot honey. Truly one of the best pizzas I have had. Super cute little shop too. Employees were very knowledgeable.
AMAZING! Everyone who worked there was so knowledgeable about ingredients & were very willing to make accommodations. Great prices if you like to customize your pizzas - meaning they don't upcharge for every little thing like most places do these days. Overall 5/5 experience. The atmosphere is inviting & the inside is clean. The customer service was absolutely amazing & I felt very safe eating here. NOTE: they have all ingredients/allergens listed on their webite,, so it would be helpful to check before going.
NO LONGER SAFE. I placed an order in the app as usual and put in the instructions I have a gluten allergy. They used to take out ingredients from the back and make it in a separate area. I got my pizza tonight and it had a random piece on corn on it, which j didn't order as a topping. I called to ask how my pizza was made and I was told they don't make them separately anymore. Very upset they didn't call and let me know to see if still wanted my order or at least told me when I picked it up. Very disappointed.
It used to be really good but they changed their allergy policy and I get so sick every time I eat there now. They taste very good but at a price
They have the best GF pizza I have ever had! The food is absolutely amazing. They have 2 types of GF crusts.
Staff was very knowledgeable about gluten allergies and cross contamination.
Used to be good gluten free crust, but this last time I ordered it was horrible. Literally tasted like cardboard I didn’t even eat it.
My daughter in law has to be conscientious about ingredients. She can eat the pizza here without being concerned it will have an adverse effect on her. It is so nice because she cannot eat put often. Thanks guys.
Separate area for gluten free, also has a peanut free pesto, lactose free cheese and a cauliflower crust that’s gluten free
Super customer service, super food. Definitely will be back!!
Very knowledgeable and accommodating staff! They used a separate space to prepare my GF pizza, washed hands/changed gloves before touching anything, and took toppings from new containers. The pizza was delicious and I haven’t had any reactions from it in the several times I’ve eaten here.
Was looking forward to pizza with my 4 yr old after a long day but they were out of gf crust. No apology or recommendations for where else to go eat. Just rubbed me the wrong way.
I was visiting from out of town and was very impressed with the gluten free pizza. The staff was very careful about not contaminating my food. I was impressed!
Ordered online via their website- chose the gluten free crust with allergy note. Got sick from cross contamination :(
The food was excellent, but I had an issue with their dedication to minimizing cross contamination. They asked if it was an allergy or preference, when I said it was an allergy, they asked if the same assembly line was okay. They offered to make it in the back, in a separate space with new gloves and utensils, but I felt slightly uncomfortable when asking them to do so. When I told them it was an allergy I was expecting them to change gloves and use different utensils and wipe down the assembly line, like most places do. I sort of felt like an inconvenience for them when she had to go to the back.
They have a gluten free pizza crust. When you ask for GF, they ask if it’s preference or allergy. If allergy they change gloves. The staff did a nice job alerting each other of the allergy and I watched them take the GF pizza out of the oven to a different spot and cut it with a different utensil. Well done
Really good and celiac friendly.
When I told them I was gluten-free for medical reasons, they write down my order and prepared it in the back to prevent cross contamination. The staff were awesome, understanding, and careful. I will definitely be back!
Love this place! Same concept as Mod but much safer! They will make GF pizza “offline” and pull out ingredients not used for the rest of their pizzas. I have been there quite a few times and mostly excellent service. There was one employee that was not aware of pulling separate ingredients so pay attention and explain.
I have celiac disease and was visiting family in State College, PA from Tennessee. I went to Snap Pizza and was impressed. The workers prepared my pizza in a separate area, used separate utensils, separate ingredients, new gloves, and a dedicated oven. I felt that they were very knowledgeable and had great customer service. The pizza was delicious! Will go here any time I'm in the area.
Snap pizza was a savior when I found out I had celiac. They have gluten free and cauliflower crust. They also make an effort to clean the prep area and try to avoid cross contamination. Lastly, their pizza is so good! Love this place!
