NO LONGER SAFE. I placed an order in the app as usual and put in the instructions I have a gluten allergy. They used to take out ingredients from the back and make it in a separate area. I got my pizza tonight and it had a random piece on corn on it, which j didn't order as a topping. I called to ask how my pizza was made and I was told they don't make them separately anymore. Very upset they didn't call and let me know to see if still wanted my order or at least told me when I picked it up. Very disappointed.

Used to be a regular place, but they recently changed their allergy policy and now don’t cater to celiacs. My wife risked it anyways (she has a gluten sensitivity too) and she got sick. A shame to lose a regular spot. Good pizza though

It used to be really good but they changed their allergy policy and I get so sick every time I eat there now. They taste very good but at a price

no longer allows workers to make the pizza off the line and make the pizza with uncontaminated ingredients. They claimed it takes too long and doesn’t make a difference

Used to be good gluten free crust, but this last time I ordered it was horrible. Literally tasted like cardboard I didn’t even eat it.

My daughter in law has to be conscientious about ingredients. She can eat the pizza here without being concerned it will have an adverse effect on her. It is so nice because she cannot eat put often. Thanks guys.

Separate area for gluten free, also has a peanut free pesto, lactose free cheese and a cauliflower crust that’s gluten free

Very knowledgeable and accommodating staff! They used a separate space to prepare my GF pizza, washed hands/changed gloves before touching anything, and took toppings from new containers. The pizza was delicious and I haven’t had any reactions from it in the several times I’ve eaten here.

They always do a phenomenal job keeping the food separate. They’ll make it in back, which does take a bit longer but they’re happy to do so. Definitely the best gf crust I’ve had.
Editing to say I’ve been here loads of times since the original review, and still just as good.

The menu was hard to read. It was on a display they kept changing. When I asked about gluten free, I was asked allergy or preference. When I said I have celiac, the employee said I just cannot have barbecue sauce or meatballs. The staff changed gloves and made the pizza on the back counter, using food in separate containers in a back frig. It was placed on the top of the conveyor belt oven. I am not sure if gluten pizzas are also placed there. When it came out, another employee asked if I needed the cold toppings from the back. No problem. Only the sauce is from the front, used for all pizzas. I declined it, as I prefer he not touch a glutened container. It was delicious and I was not sick. I will go back. I appreciate all the steps they take.

Was looking forward to pizza with my 4 yr old after a long day but they were out of gf crust. No apology or recommendations for where else to go eat. Just rubbed me the wrong way.

Awesome pizza place.
At first it takes a minute to read the menu - they mark the items that have Gluten. 95% of the menu toppings are GF.
When you order your pizza and tell them it is GF for an allergy they write it down and make the pizza in the dedicated kitchen space in the back.
Then the GF pizzas (only GF) are baked on the top rack of the oven to prevent cross contamination.
The pizza was delicious (I did not get sick) and we will be back.

The food was excellent, but I had an issue with their dedication to minimizing cross contamination. They asked if it was an allergy or preference, when I said it was an allergy, they asked if the same assembly line was okay. They offered to make it in the back, in a separate space with new gloves and utensils, but I felt slightly uncomfortable when asking them to do so. When I told them it was an allergy I was expecting them to change gloves and use different utensils and wipe down the assembly line, like most places do. I sort of felt like an inconvenience for them when she had to go to the back.

They have a gluten free pizza crust. When you ask for GF, they ask if it’s preference or allergy. If allergy they change gloves. The staff did a nice job alerting each other of the allergy and I watched them take the GF pizza out of the oven to a different spot and cut it with a different utensil. Well done

GF allergy crust option on menu. Happy kid!

When I told them I was gluten-free for medical reasons, they write down my order and prepared it in the back to prevent cross contamination. The staff were awesome, understanding, and careful. I will definitely be back!

Love this place! Same concept as Mod but much safer! They will make GF pizza “offline” and pull out ingredients not used for the rest of their pizzas. I have been there quite a few times and mostly excellent service. There was one employee that was not aware of pulling separate ingredients so pay attention and explain.
I have celiac disease and was visiting family in State College, PA from Tennessee. I went to Snap Pizza and was impressed. The workers prepared my pizza in a separate area, used separate utensils, separate ingredients, new gloves, and a dedicated oven. I felt that they were very knowledgeable and had great customer service. The pizza was delicious! Will go here any time I'm in the area.
Snap pizza was a savior when I found out I had celiac. They have gluten free and cauliflower crust. They also make an effort to clean the prep area and try to avoid cross contamination. Lastly, their pizza is so good! Love this place!

Great gluten free crust. The workers that were very good about changing gloves and making sure to ask if allergy or preference. They continued to say allergy down the line. The pizza was really delicious
Have loved this place since they’ve opened, however some of the workers don’t take the same precautions that others do. They make their GF pizzas off the main line if you have an allergy/Celiac which is awesome....however my last SNAP pizza was made off the line but right next to the NON GF dough they were making (flour on the counter all around it). Love their pizzas but keeping an eye out from now on!

awesome/knowledgeable staff, great food, quick service, all around great experience
Both of my teenagers have celiac and they absolutely LOVE the pizza. The staff know exactly how to handle food allergies - couldn’t be happier with the Resturant!!!!! Thank you for making wonderful gluten free food.

Staff was knowledgeable about gluten free items, used different gloves for each item on a pizza and the items came from a separate container. Pizza was good.
I told the staff I had an allergy and they new exactly what to do! I watched the employee change her gloves and get new ingredients from the fridge. They cut my pizza with a different slicer and made it off the line. Delicious, I will definitely be back!
Yes
Tasty pizza. They offer gluten free crust- if you choose it they ask if it is allergy or preference. When you choose allergy, they make it off the line for you with all fresh ingredients. I’ve tried this place several times and it was great! My only complaint would be one of the times I visited, an employee I hadn’t seen before put my tray on the line where all the normal pizzas had been before asking if I wanted it made off the line and moving it. Otherwise my experiences have been great!
Yes
Very knowledgeable staff! Prepare the gluten free pizza in a dedicated work space. Highly recommend this restaurant!!
Yes
Just be sure to mention you have celiac before you order. They will prepare the pizza in a separate area and are vigilant not to cross contaminate. Eaten there many times with my very sensitive celiac son and he has never gotten sick.
Yes
Staff was knowledgeable and changed gloves. They prepared the pizza off the line and asked if it was preference or allergy. Their menu tells you what options are gluten free. Most pizzas are put on a wooden pan but the gluten free pizza was on slate. Very good.
Yes
Cauliflower crust is fantastic. Can’t even tell it’s not an actual pizza crust. Also, the menu clearly states which items have wheat- most toppings do not.
That said, I’ve noticed the person who cuts the pizzas used the same pizza cutter for regular crust AND cauliflower crust. If you have a strong sensitivity, you may want to ask them to change blades or just cut it yourself, but YMMV.
Cauliflower crust is amazing. BBQ, Old-fashioned meatballs, and one of the salad dressings are apparently not gluten-free
Yes
Not gluten free. Clearly not aware of how to prepare gluten free items without cross contamination. Did not even change gloves.
No
The manager personally called after I placed an online order to ask if I had celiac or if it was a preference. He then told me one of the ingredients was not gluten free so I could choose another sauce. It was so delicious and will absolutely go back!!
Yes
The staff was very accommodating! They have two safe crust options: a regular gluten free crust and a cauliflower crust. Upon ordering the GF crust I was asked if it was a preference or an allergy, and upon letting them know it was an allergy they asked if I would like my pizza to be made in a separate kitchen off the normal production line with toppings not yet put out in the line. I was pleased with this suggestion and took them up on the offer for this accommodation. They then asked for what all I would like in the pizza, which was simple to navigate because they have printed menus readily available that indicate what items are GF. It was a great experience and the pizza was very good and rather inexpensive for the size of the pizza and mounds of toppings! I paid around $10 and got two solid meals out of the pizza. I enjoyed it and will definitely be back!
Yes
Thus far the experience has been great! (I’ll amend if I get sick) they were very careful with my order, which was for allergy. Tons of options & delicious to boot. One of the best gf pizzas I’ve had. Not a paper-thin crust nor was it over- or undercooked, like I’m used too. Definitely a repeat! Very friendly staff.
The best gluten free pizza I’ve ever had hands down! Super fast service as well! I ordered delivery through Caviar. They had options for the gluten free crust as both an (allergy) and (preference). They take the allergy option and prepare the pizza off the line.
Yes
Staff was knowledgeable. Made pizza off the regular line with fresh ingredients from the back. Both regular gluten free and cauliflower crust options. Used dedicated gluten free pizza cutter and pizza paddle. We loved it and will be going back soon.
Yes
What a pleasant surprise. I accidentally found this place and the GF pizza is excellent. The cauliflower crust is tasty and not gooey like typical gf pizza crust.
Staff very careful. Asked if allergy or preference and immediately changed gloves. Pizza prepared in separate area. Lots of gluten free toppings. Staff was very knowledgeable. Good pizza. Now offer a cauliflower crust which was really good.
