We loved Strada! A tad pricey but, worth every penny! Delicious GF eggplant parmigiana and GF arancini? Yes, please! Staff was incredibly knowledgeable and helpful with choices.

Hands down the best pasta I’ve had since being diagnosed celiac. I generally don’t like pasta (I know, it doesn’t make sense) so I’m usually like meh when it comes to Italian food. I got the gf focaccia and the bolognese. The bread was great. The bolognese was amazing. I had plenty for lunch the next day as well. I was so full from dinner I could not eat dessert, so we returned the following evening and sat at the bar to have dessert. The tiramisu was so very delicious! Loved my meal and entire dining experience here!

Amazing food and an amazing experience! We ordered the arancini, mafaldo, and chicken Parmesan both with gluten free gnocchi. All tasted phenomenal. The owner has celiac and prepares gluten free foods separately. They even have a separate oven for the pizza! Would highly highly recommend.
The only thing that was not good here was the espresso martini. It was kahlua and baileys mixed. We had to switch it out for wine.

We dined at Strada twice while visiting Asheville recently. Loved the gf chicken Marsala, calamari appetizer, and the tiramisu. Sent back the gluten-free pizza because the crust was really tough. Service was good. Tried the gluten-free eggplant Parmesan and it was good but not great

SO GOOD! The menu had tons of GF/GFO options to choose from. The waiter asked if anyone had an allergy before I had to and was very helpful. The GF calamari and GFO chicken parm w/ GF spaghetti was amazing! Highly recommend. It was such a treat to have real Italian foods that were GF and tasted like they were regularly made.

Everything was clearly marked, saying either gluten free or gluten free option. All the bread was gluten free, first time I’ve had bread as an appetizer that was gluten free. The actual food was amazing and all staff were super nice. Overall, this place is a 10/10.

Apparently, Chef Anthony Cerrato is celiac and that is why where are so many gluten free options available on the menu. We were told GF options were all made in a separate GF facility! This alone means I’ll be back to eat a worry-free meal!
I enjoyed the GF Gnocchi with tomato sauce. It was light and enjoyable.
Apparently you cannot tell the difference between the regular and GF tiramisu. Although I thought the tiramisu was just ok, it was a treat to be able to enjoy tiramisu again.
My mom really enjoyed the non-GF meat lasagna and my husband thought the non-GF pizza was good. Although he prefers the pizza at Asheville Brewing Co (which also offers GF pizza options - we go there every time we are in town). The house labeled wine was decent. I’d have it again but wouldn’t buy a bottle. Although my mom probably would.
Hostess, Fallon, was a helpful, cheerful professional. She pointed out the two steps down into a separate dinning area, told us where the bathrooms were, which one had a changing station in it, and quickly brought us a highchair for our baby. We were all so impressed with her thoughtfulness and anticipation of guest needs.
We had a truly fantastic waitress. Melissa was so kind, attentive, and knowledgeable. Although the restaurant was busy, she checked on us often and had such positive energy.
Overall, truly wonderful customer service, clean bathrooms with a nice baby changing table, and good food. We will be back as it’s a rare treat to find GF safe places for me to eat.

They had a lot of homemade gluten-free options. I’m used to Italian restaurants subbing for gluten-free with more processed options, so it was a treat to have gnocchi and focaccia made in-house. I thought they were both done well. I had the pasta portofino with gnocchi. It probably would have been better with the GF spaghetti but I was too excited to have homemade gnocchi that I didn’t care if the sauce didn’t stick to it in the same way. I did not feel sick, although I also did not ask questions about safety.

The reviews for this restaurant are very inconsistent so I was a little nervous to try it. I had planned to go on Monday night and there were few other gluten-free restaurants open so I decided to go here anyway. It has been a long time since I have eaten Italian food.
We had a great night. All three of us enjoyed the arancini as well as the calamari. I had the chicken parm because they were out of eggplant parm and it was delicious. I also enjoyed the gluten-free tiramisu.
This restaurant can do a lovely job. I really hope that they become more consistent.

Server was confident about gf , disclosed chef has celiac so we are “well taken care of.” My 2 children and I were underwhelmed with pasta and sauces. Gf Focaccia was dry and crumbly. My youngest forgot to order a meatball - we asked for it later. They served it next to my husband (not gf) and I questioned the food runner and waitress if it was gf safe - they both agreed it was. I felt weird about it but let her eat it. Needless to say that night she was sick 3 hours later - her typical symptoms for exposure - 2 hours of vomiting then she was completely fine. This is the first time in 6 years of celiac she has been sick from a restaurant. I know these reviews are great but as of any restaurant that is not completely gf this is not 100% safe either.

While in Asheville for a combined vacay and work trip, we stumbled in for a late lunch/early dinner. Great GF dishes and GF options on the menu. Wait staff clearly told us they are a scratch kitchen and can customize for allergies, intolerances, and celiac. First time to have calamari in a long time and it was delicious. Their GF focaccia bread was delicious served with dipping oil with spices! gF tiramisu!!!!
So good we returned for dinner a few days later. Great bottle of wine, the Arancini appetizer was amazing, most of the pasta dishes they will swap in GF spaghetti if they’re made with other noodles. Flourless chocolate torte and the mountain espresso martini were the perfect end to our meal.

Lovely experience. Had gf and regular pizzas for the table. They use a separate pan to bake the gf pizzas. The owner apparently has a gluten allergy so they work hard to make things safe and free from cc. Had the calamari (rice flour) and everything fried is gf with the rice flour so the fryer was safe. Would definitely come back. Worth the money for peace of mind.

Ate at the sister restaurant the Social Lounge. Server was very knowledgeable and mentioned that they use GF breadcrumbs on everything. Ate fried calamari and eggplant Parm. I’m reluctant to leave this review because I think the importance of this app is to leave reviews on food safety not service experience. However this experience directly correlates to celiac.
Let me start by saying I am a regular. I have eaten here at least 40 times in 3-4 years. I have never had an issue with the safety and precautions on the food. They’ve got that down, and the food is delicious. However….
The past 2 times we’ve eaten here they have incorrectly rung up the bill and overcharged the gluten free up charge. I expect to pay an up charge - that’s no issue. However 2 times in a row they have rung it in incorrectly leaving the bill more expensive than it should be. They clearly list the gluten free prices on the menu, so I say this to say… Check your bill and make sure you are paying the correct price. This seems to be an issue with new management and a lack of training with the point of sales system. The first time this issue occurred the waiter easily recognized the issue and corrected it without issue. The second time things got a bit tense with the manager who didn’t take the time to listen or look over his own menu.

Ordered the calamari which came with the most delicious slightly spicy Marinara with pesto, so delicious. I ordered the vegan lasagna (not a vegan) and a third of it was hard as a rock on top which made me think they nuked it. However the rest was really tasty. When we told them about it they offered a free desert. Tried the chocolate torte and it was delicious, though had no macerated berries, Just whole. Overall great experience, very welcoming to gluten free audience.

Awful!!! I appreciate their efforts with gluten free, but the food was awful! I have Crohn’s disease, so maybe others might have a better experience, but the marinara was absolutely un edible. It was sour and lacked any spice. I’d rather had a jar of Raoes! instead. Yuck!

I recommend booking a reservation. We couldn’t get one but luckily we’re able to walk up and get a table in the bar area. Best GF pasta ever! We ordered the GF Focaccia which is amazing indistinguishable from a non GF bread. I ordered the pomodoro which was excellent. I got it medium spicy but it was spicier than I anticipated medium to be. The owner has celiac so the restaurant is very knowledgeable and accommodating. Most items are GF or can be made GF by substituting for GF pasta or GF crust. We’ll definitely come back and I highly recommend this restaurant.

There were MANY gluten free options on the menu….and our servers were very sweet. However, the nervous energy in the place was palpable. It took 15 minutes for someone to even take our drink order. These folks hustle—the bartender was serving tables and waiters were pouring drinks.
Though everyone worked at 110%, it was sheer chaos. For example, we ordered an app with the gluten free option. Two different servers brought an app to our table—one with gluten free crackers and the other with what appeared to be regular crackers. The latter didn’t realize that we already received the order. I didn’t feel confident that my meal was carefully curated to ensure gluten free, so I must skipped the crackers altogether.
I hate to leave a poor review because everyone was kind, but a chaotic restaurant is not a safe restaurant.

Wonderful experience. Almost the entire menu was or could be made gluten free!! Our waiter was so knowledgable and helpful. I had the GF Eggplant parm & it was outstanding!!
