They have gluten free pizzas that they say are prepared separately from the regular pizzas. They are cooked in the same oven but with a clean pan under it. It was super good pizza but I did end up feeling sick and bloated after I ate there. It’s not really celiac friendly.

I’m a returning customer. My family loves to eat here but after tonight we will NEVER return. I especially like the spicy sausage sauce but tonight it has a very odd taste. I politely walked my entire plate minus one bite up to the manager JAMES and told him that I usually love that sauce but something wasn’t right tonight. He grabbed my plate and said okay. I thought that was the end of it. I went to get a plate of meat marinara instead. While I was waiting for my noodles, the manager JAMES proceeded to harass me in front of all the employees and customers. He said “You don’t look very happy. You could go to Chuck-a-rama.” At this point I was done. I didn’t wait for my noodles. I was so embarrassed. I asked for his name. He said “It’s James. Just like it says on the wall” I asked the girl at the register for a Managers phone number. She said I can’t give you that information and went and got James. Of course by now I have vented to my husband and he is upset. He tries to have a conversation with James and James refuses to hear anything we have to say. I have worked in management and would never treat a customer this way. I tried to call Jonas. The name that James gave to me and got no response. I’m very disappointed. It’s sad when a bad manager can ruin one of your families favorite places to eat. If someone else opened a pizza buffet, they would put this place out of business. I am not the first to complain about the “managers” rude behavior and lack of professionalism.

Horrible if you like good food. You have to pay more ontop of paying for a adult to get a gluten-free pizza

I am a dairy free and gluten free pescatarian. They had an all you can eat salad bar, GF spiral or penne pasta with two gluten free sauces. These are offered at no additional charge. However, to have a GF or GF cauliflower crust pizza or dessert pizza, there is an additional $2.99 charge per pie. We were actually double charged for one pie so verify you are charged correctly. My GF crust was cracker thin and they do not offer dairy free cheese. They were willing to make it without. Lots of options for my regular diet companion. They looked pretty busy- no forks, dirty tables, limited options and out of dessert pizza, but they were good about getting whatever was requested.

Pizza is a solid ok. If you are going with other gluten eaters who want to go, you have a decent option. I tried the rice flour crust. They had an option for cauliflower. Crust was ok. They cooked my pizza in the back in a separate area. Didn’t have any tummy trouble. It was pricey. I paid the usual $10,50 Saturday fee, then an additional $8 for the gf pizza, plus $1.50 per topping (didn’t know that when ordering). I would not go back if it was just me eating. Not worth it. Fresco is down the street and their pizza is amazing for about the same price point. I did get to take home what was left of my pizza.

They have a separate place in the back for their pizza and have a designated separate container for their gluten free pasta. I love their gluten free food! The only thing I've had struggle with was with their alfredo sause, but it wasn't designated as gluten free.

They do have a gluten-free pizza. However it is an upcharge which makes it kind of expensive for what you're getting. The crust is kind of spongy and not very crispy but overall it's not terrible. Definitely not my favorite gluten-free option in Boise but better than nothing. It didn't make me sick but I'm not a Celiac so for me it's just more of a sensitivity.

I asked them to take precautions when making my pizza but I still got sick. I even ordered it with pesto instead of sauce since it's in a bottle, hoping to avoid cross-contamination. Unfortunately, I am very sick. I only ate the pizza.

I have never been to a worst Pizza Pie Cafe! My GF pizza never came out. We had to leave without it. Plus the manager would not do half dinner/dessert pizza. The customer service was horrid. The pizza selection for the regular customers was minimal, compared to other PPC's we have eaten at. The GF pasta wasn't cooked long enough either. The salad bar was great, but it's hard to screw that up! Don't bother with this one.

Pizza is prepared in same location as non gluten-free items. No separation. While there are gluten free pasta and pizza it isn’t safe. Salad bar seems safe, would be better if dressing was marked as safe or not, or an oil and vinegar option

I have gotten seriously cross contaminated here. It is ran by 15 year olds who do not understand what gluten is nor care to. Would not recommend unfortunately:(

Good pizza place, upgraded their crust. Order your own pizza and can make it half and half of you want. They also have a salad bar and gluten free pasta.

This is my all-time favorite place to go as a gluten-free person. They typically get a salad and order a gluten-free pizza, this pizza comes with a take-out box if I don’t finish it. It’s definitely the biggest bang for my buck especially if I have my husband order another gluten-free pizza for us to just take out with us. I am celiac and typically only get a little irritation when I eat here, but that is typical whenever I eat out anywhere.

Edited: New workers not trained in gluten free. I had to ask them to remake my order and still got sick. If one person on shift knew, it would be better, but they all seemed really confused at how to do the gluten free stuff :/. (early afternoon shift).
Ordered online. I was pretty nervous and called to make sure it was gluten-free. Tasted great and I didn't get sick.

It's a buffet so be aware. They offer a GF menu/guide. We ordered the pizza and were assured it would be prepared with precautions. We wanted to try the pasta bar and while the pasta is prepared in separate water, the sauces are communal. We watched several people use the pasta ladle and it come in contact with their non GF food. So if you are severe celiac, it isn't safe. The salad bar was mostly GF and the majority of the greens and toppings were separate from any gluten contaminates.

My kids adore this place. Being newly diagnosed (and VERY sensitive), I was hopeful. Unfortunately, they have an entirely new staff, most admitted this was only their second shift. The gluten free pizza was decent but I got very sick. It did seem like they had a lot of the right process in place but the training just wasn’t there.

I ordered a gluten free pizza and had salad from the salad bar. I'm not sure if I had to ask for cross contamination preventions (which I didn't specifically do because of great reviews here), but I woke up the next morning a little unwell. I'm still learning about my Celiac and I'm not sure if it was connected, but there's a chance!
Great service. Can't complain about a lot. Just not sure if I was cross contaminated!

They had a dedicated oven to cook pizzas and a dedicated cooker for pasta and they seemed very knowledgeable about celiac and gluten free.

very hit and miss when it comes to gluten free consideration. I wouldn't recommend it if you're very sensitive to gluten. I've left there many times feeling sick shortly after. you can get better quality and safer pizza at somewhere cheaper and better

I tried the gluten free pizza here and I got terribly sick. I had a friend visit and he took a video of them throwing dough balls everywhere in the back.
Good gluten free choices. Staff was knowledgeable about CC
Gluten Free menu for pizza and the pizza is brought straight to your table. The pizza was great. The salad bar is mostly gluten free and gluten free pasta can be requested. Overall a good experience and knowledgeable staff.
Their pasta options are minimal but they have GF pasta. They also have GF pizza.
I really enjoy going to this restaurant. I showed up one time at like 11 and got to be the first to go through the salad bar. I have never gotten sick here.
Pizza Pie Cafe is a pizza/pasta buffet open for lunch & dinner. It has laminated gf menu cards up front. They will make you a gluten free pizza and do everything they can to eliminate cross-contamination. The gf pizza is delicious and the staff are wonderful. Also, all of their dressings at the salad bar are gf. You can also order to go, and I think they may deliver now. Love it!

Delicious pizza and pasta, I don't think I was glutened. The whole family liked it.

We ordered their gluten free pizza to go and it was super yummy!
This place is great! The staff is excellent and helpful. They take gluten issues seriously and follow strict protocol to keep things safe. $15 got me a small GF pizza, unlimited GF pasta, salad, and a drink. The pizza wasn’t the best I’ve ever had, but it’s well worth the price.
Yes
They have pizza, pasta, and the salad bar. It was nice to have a selection. The food was just ok though.
My son is able to order his own gf pizza with many toppings to choose from for an additional $2.00 charge. They also have gf pasta, certain desserts, salad options, and sauces that are gluten free. We love it here and go almost every Tuesday (when they has a discounted buffet). We are so happy to have found this place where my little boy can enjoy some of his favorite foods worry free.
Yes
Great gf pizza. We eat here regularly and we never get sick. Love that the upcharge for gf pizza is nominal. They can subdivide the gf pizza so you can also enjoy one of their delicious dessert pizzas!

Order your special made g pizza, gf pasta on the pasta bar, and salad bar available, Friendly and good food

I am SO excited that I get to eat pizza with my husband finally. The GF hillbilly pizza was amazing and it did not taste like cardboard or have any weird after taste and the crust was so soft. The pasta was amazing as well. I can’t eat much at one time so I didn’t get to try the salad bar but it looked good. Not a huge salad bar but it had the basics. I love that I got my own pizza. They also give military discount so it evened out the $2.00 up-charge for GF. Totally worth every penny. We just found our new favorite pizza place.
Yes
The staff was very knowledgeable about gluten free options. GF pasta warmed in dedicated section. Pizza prepared to limit cross contamination. Great GF pizza and pasta.
Yes
Good pizza - great toppings help make up for an average crust. The pasta is good, they cook it separate. I have Celiacs and have eaten here many times without a problem.
Yes
They made a gluten free pizza for me. First time having gf pizza that wasn't nasty with the texture of cardboard. The gf pasta was good also.
Their crust tastes like a regular thin crust but I didn’t love their toppings personally. The biggest problem I had was that as my pizza cooled the crust become rock hard.
Yes
Celiac friendly and still pretty good pizza
Yes
I've eaten here twice; never been sick. I did ask someone to make my salad in the back instead of using the salad bar. they were very friendly about it. I always place napkins on the table, so I don't touch anything. I'm extremely sensitive, and so far this is one of the only places near Rexburg that hasn't made me sick.
Yes
Great lunch stop with our 3 GF grandkids! They made each their own pizza and had GF noodles! Terrific service! When we go through Twin Falls, we will stop here again!
Pizza was ok, cinnamon dessert was terrible. The kid cooking my pasta was annoyed. I will come back though.
Great place! I have celiac and I love it that they have a gluten free salad bar, you can ask for gluten free pasta, and also can ask for them to make you a personal gluten free pizza brought to your table. The gluten free pizza is very good also!
Staff not well trained on GF. Told us we can get the buffalo chicken, so we ordered. came out with breaded chicken that they confirmed was not GF.
