Many Original Pancake House locations offer gluten free pancakes. Please speak to your server about taking the proper precautions to prevent cross contamination, if necessary.
Great gluten FRIENDLY pancakes. Definitely not a place for those with Celiac but a must go for those who are okay with cross contamination.

Unfortunately, I did get sick after eating here. I have Celiac’s and was running to the bathroom within 30 minutes. However, I’ve eaten here before and had no issues so I think it was a matter of cross contamination. The manager handled it great, was empathetic and comped my meal!

Not celiac friendly, they make it clear it is a shared kitchen but wow do they make good gluten free breakfast. It’s been 16 years since I had a GF waffle. I took a gluteguard pill so I wouldn’t get sick.
The waitstaff, everyone of them were amazing happy people that made my experience there above extraordinary I wish I can give them 10 stars for that but until they get a dedicated area for their gluten-free stuff I cannot

I've eaten at both Original Pancake Houses on several occasions, and I was extremely disappointed to have waited 40 minutes today to be seated and order, only to be told they now cook the gluten-free pancakes on the same griddle as all of the others. I was also told they could not accommodate me by using a separate pan. I'm not sure what changed with their protocol; in the past I've been told they use a separate area of the kitchen to prepare gluten-free items. This restaurant is NOT a safe choice if you have celiac disease.

Most accommodating waiter I've EVER had. I'm GF and egg-free and they made me delicious pancakes that didn't contain either! The waiter triple checked with the kitchen, asked if cross-contamination would be an issue, and worked with me to understand the menu options I had. Very impressed. The pancakes were fantastic.

My partner and I ate here recently. The food tasted amazing. I felt fine after but my partner got very sick afterwards. We both ordered an egg dish with a side of pancakes. My pancakes were brought on a separate plate, his on the same plate. It was super busy when we went so not sure if that made a difference. IF we go here again we'll triple check that everything being brought in out is gf. Menu looks great with gf items clearly marked. Even tea packets were certified gf.

I was a little unhappy with my experience. When I finally met the waitress, she was very nice! I ordered the GF pancakes with bacon and 2 eggs. The eggs were cooked perfectly! The pancakes were ok, 4 small ones. But the bacon had very little flavor…I’ve never had bacon that didn’t have taste like bacon… very weird. Had a bit of a stomach ache after i left, but it went away and I’ve had no issues since. The menu definitely says gluten friendly, but they cannot commit to gluten free.

Very sensitive celiac and a non sensitive celiac have eaten here twice with success! Non sensitive loved the GF pancakes. Unfortunately there are not many GF/DF options but I was able to eat ham omelette without cheese and potatoes. Delicious. They didn’t have alternative creamer for coffee. Fresh Orange juice was good too

I typically love The Original Pancake House, it's one of my favorite places! But this location is the worst. When you walk in it smells. This is the second time eating at this location & we will never go back. I asked what pancakes could be made GF, the waitress was not helpful at all. I ordered GF pancakes, they tasted off & not sure exactly what it was, but they definitely made me sick!

They have good food but I would not suggest ordering the gf pancakes or waffles if you are sensitive to cross-contamination. They do not have separate pans or ways to cook the gluten free items so there is a big risk of CC.

They did express *Gluten Friendly* as you never know with flour in the air. They are not a dedicated GF place, but have a separate prep area. But that said, My son has never been happier. He got a huge (10-12 pancakes) plate of Buckeye GF Pancakes no issues. Lots of options! Over 7 pancake options, 5 waffles options. Tons of toppings. Just ask your server they will know

Great experience, and very friendly and knowledgeable staff. They talked me through their limitations since they cook all the pancakes on the same grill, which may be an issue for celiacs. My food was great, I had gluten free pancakes and stole some of my husbands omelet. Flavor was great. The whole family loved all the food and my kids had a great experience. We would absolutely go back. You should be sure to not use the sugar though, because they have oyster crackers in them to prevent moisture.

Called ahead and was told they take precautions. The menu has asterisks by GF items. The staff said there is a separate space for GF prep/cooking. The meal came out on a black-rimmed plate to indicate GF. Delicious pancakes & turkey sausage. Celiac and Will go back soon.

Not celiac safe. I called before coming because we had a 20 minute drive here. I told them the severity of my allergy and they said, “Yes. It’s gluten FREE. You will be safe to eat here.” I started to order and the waiter told me that nothing here was gluten free. But the waiter was extremely nice.

We went here for the first time today and I was very excited. If you eat pancakes raw, I do have to agree they are a little sour, but if you eat them with anything else they are amazing. They give you a large serving with no up charge. I was very excited and I will definitely be going back.

I informed our server that I had celiac and ordered the GF pancakes. When the food came out, a different server brought me (not GF) pecan pancakes or something, so I knew not to eat those and told him I had ordered GF pancakes. He brought back "GF pancakes" but I was sick before we even left the restaurant.

I was told they have gluten free pancakes and waffles, and because it is a “pancake” house I expected a decent GF pancake … they were TERRIBLE!! Brown like coffee, crumbly, no flavor, fell apart, just 1000% a HORRIBLE pancake. The omelette was good, potatoes fantastic, but I would not go back. Even if they would buy King Arthur GF pancake mix for the rare occasion a celiac orders pancakes would be nice!! King Arthur GF pancake mix is THE BOMB!! Very disappointed in this “pancake” house :( Save yourself the disappointment and go elsewhere …

I was so excited to find gluten friendly pancakes, especially because they have the look and texture of a normal pancake, but somehow they manage to taste like nothing and then have a distinctly sour aftertaste. I got chocolate chip pancakes and can’t even taste the chocolate. I ate one and think I’m going to throw the rest away because they taste so bad. the hash browns are decent, but some of the worst pancakes I’ve ever had. also there is no guarantee of no cross-contamination (hence “gluten friendly” instead of “gluten free”) which is fine for me, but don’t go here is cross contamination could be an issue for you

Their GF pancakes are so fluffy and delicious! I've been here 3 times and haven't gotten sick at all. We did takeout for Mother's Day and the GF orders came in a separate bag. Mine was marked gf in multiple places. They really only have the pancakes marked GF so they're all I've tried other than the bacon. I'm sure they could do eggs too but not waffles or breakfast sandwiches.

I would be cautious eating here if you are celiac. They technically offer gf pancake batter but it is cooked on the same grill top as gluten pancakes and when my partner asked about their cross contamination protocol they joked to just not tell me about the cross contamination risk with a 🤫. I dont know if that employee still works there but they've lost my trust and offended me when they implied celiac is all in the head or that my full consent about what exposure risk I might take is not needed or a joke. Some celiacs are more symptomatic than others with exposure but that doesnt mean they arent experiencing damage to their intestines all the same. Not cool.
