This is a chain with dozens of locations in California. The Mangrove parlor in Chico offers only one size of gluten free and it is fairly small. But it is quite tasty, particularly when ordered with pesto or garlic sauce. The best in town in my estimation. Pizza usually ready in 20 minutes.

I had a gluten free cheese pizza twice while on vacation. It was great both times and they took good precautions for us.

They described their process as using new utensils and getting fresh ingredients from unopened bags to reduce cross contamination. My guts still unstable by travel but I enjoyed it! They helped make it dairy free for me as well.
Update: went back and they said they couldn’t make anything safe for me.

We visited here because we heard they have a gluten free crust. My child is gluten sensitive. They have a gluten-free 10-inch crust as well as a cauliflower crust option. They seemed knowledgeable enough and asked if we were gluten sensitive or had Celiac. They said they could make sure there was no cross contamination.
My kid had no issues after eating here.

Contaminated gluten free pizza! Front service was knowledgeable, typical "one small" gluten free pizza for $25. Kitchen staff changed gloves to box but then used common tools (pizza shovel and cutter). Got dosed with gluten, got sick from the cross contamination. They also make all their own dough except for the gluten free crust. Claimed to cook on a separate sheet. Pizza was only average, not worth trying again. Couldn't view most of kitchen prep etc. but there were so many employees for a dead wednesday afternoon (3:30pm). There was a definite language barrier (to the point phones were being used for translation) which only concerns me in that without any bi-lingual staff training on something like gluten free might be near impossible. They were real friendly but sorry to say this will always have a red flag and be a hard pass for me.

Avoid if celiac. The staff didn't know what gluten allergy or celiac disease meant and told me they cook everything on the same stone so cross contamination is guaranteed. I left without risking it.

I work here. The restaurant cannot guarantee a complete gluten free experience, due to cross contamination. However, we do take the utmost care handling our gluten free orders. Every gluten free crust is cooked on top of a clean cut of parchment paper and cut with a clean knife. We have two types of gluten free crusts, both thin, one is cauliflower and the other is unlabeled. Both are small size only and are an upcharge of $4. We also offer daiya vegan cheese, for an upcharge of $2 on smalls. Our marinara sauce has no cheese or flour, however the same utensils are used to spread the sauce on all the pizzas. Same for toppings. All in all, not recommended for celiacs, but we do take care as much as we can.

This chain offers their 10” small pizza with a GF crust for a couple bucks extra.
Pizza is prepared and cooked on a tray to lower the chance of cross-contamination. I am a sensitive celiac and have been fine at two of their outlets.
This time was delivery so I cannot say for sure that they changed gloves but I know they will on request.

They have a new cauliflower crust that is gluten free. You can only order in one size which is a bit of a bummer but I’ll take it! They were very sensitive to the fact I had Celiac and they were very reassuring that my crust didn’t share the same grill as the other pizzas and it was cooked completely separate. I’ve eaten there several times and have been very happy each time!

This is good GF pizza and a nice variety of toppings. There is a salad bar but mine was to go, so I’m not sure how good that is. I’m going back for more pizza today.

I ordered the luau pizza on a gf crust. Called first and they said they use different kitchen tools, but same ovens. Checked the barbecue sauce brand and it was gf. Unfortunately, I had the worst gluten reaction I’ve ever had. Severe stomach cramping and gi issues for about 4 hours.

I eat GF to manage my PCOS (so I don't necessarily need to heavily rely on gluten free dedicated facilities) But I got pizza from this location a couple times and we got special made pizzas cause my kids can't have dairy. Neither were right. And for the pricing, you'd think they would bother to TRY to get it right. So I definitely wouldn't trust this location to get gluten free right.

I usually don't get sick here, but today my NimaPartners gluten sensor picked up gluten in my "gluten-free" pizza even though I've been told this location has a dedicated area/counter where they make gluten-free pizzas. My order was also wrong today, not that I could eat it after it tested positive for gluten. I'll give them one more chance.
Update: I gave them one more chance, and once again, my gluten-free pizza tested as having gluten when I tested it with the NimaPartners gluten sensor. I'm sad to say I won't be going back, as this location is not safe for people with celiac or other gluten intolerances.

We ordered 4 gluten free pizzas and one gluten and they delivered to our hotel. I don't know what cross contamination measures they use but none of us got sick. One of our gf pizzas was also cheese free. We ordered medium gf pizzas and they upgraded all of them to large for free.

My party at pump it up was catered by mountain mike’s. My child got glutened by their gluten free pizza. I made sure no staff touched the pizza and still it happened. This suggests to me that there is cross contamination.

Ordered a gluten-free pizza for my husband, and a regular pizza for myself and the rest of our kids. Gluten-free pizza was packaged separately and my extremely sensitive son and husband had no reaction at all. They were thrilled to have safe pizza on vacation.

After reading the reviews and my mind was set on MMP wee ordered a large olive gluten free pizza here last night for $30. Sadly, within a few hours, I was extremely sick and in a lot of pain. Please, take caution when eating here!

I'm allergic to Gluten and Onions. The manager personally made my salad to ensure no croutons or onion. The GF pizza comes in a small, but my hubby and I split a salad and pizza and it was the right amount of food. The pizza was perfectly done, crisp but not overcooked and lots of toppings. Very pleasant manager and staff. I felt good ordering and eating. It was also a clean place. They have soda drinks and beers.

Yes it took awhile- I think they were waiting for the next shift to arrive. I enjoyed watching the Padres while I waited.
My pizza arrived on a pan. The pan was covered with parchment paper. This is much safer than most pizza places.

The food is decent, but I had to stop going because they have an issue with staff not following protocol. I saw one of the kitchen staff pull down his mask, wipe his nose using his bare hand and pull his mask up. He did not wash his hands after, went back to working on handling food.
Even not during a pandemic this violates food safety procedures. Not to mention it's extremely gross.

At this time only takeout is available. Got a small thin crust pizza with sausage, green onions and tomato to take back to the hotel. It was thin crust and not soggy, and tasted good. I had no reaction and I do react seriously even though I tested as not celiac.

DO NOT GO HERE! Absolutely terrible customer service. I was told 25-35 minutes for pick up. It took over an hour and fifteen minutes. The pizza is just like Udi’s crust. I think people who have raved about the crust has never had gluten free crust from NYC. This is just like frozen pizza besides the fresh toppings. I think it was also not worth the price.

Amazing and safe gluten free pizza.

Great thin crust gf pizza. Had both vegi and ham/pineapple. Also nnice salad bar bit be careful what you take.
The small pizza can be ordered with a gluten-free crust.
I have ordered pizza here multiple times and I have also ordered their cheesy gluten free breadsticks. They have always done a great job and informed me that they will be using dedicated pizza cutters, will put on new gloves etc. I have not had an issue eating here even though I am pretty sensitive to cross contamination.

Ordered a gluten free pizza. Told the cooks to please be careful. It was terrible, thin and awful. Usually I can tolerate Mountain Mikes. Not today.I took a bite and the edges had my husbands onion white sauce. They did not use a separate slicer. I had begged them to be careful. When he complained on my behalf they offered us a complimentary pizza on our next visit. Personally, I have no desire to be poisoned twice. I'll go visit the other one where the staff pinky promise to be careful and I don't get sick.

I did not enjoy this place. Unless you have five screaming kids to add to the crowd, i would pass. They wouldn't put parmesan on my pizza, they said that's not an option. There are no green options like spinach. The tables were piled with trash. It didn't feel clean. couldn't get out of here fast enough. I ate a few slices and waited in the car.
Such a treat to come to a pizza place with 100% positive reviews that it’s celiac safe! Mizael took the time to tell me he went through a EIGHT HOURS of training because someone in the owner’s family has celiac disease. But friends - it’s not a dedicated GF Resturant- so be sure your table is cleaned off when you sit down - I just grabbed some paper towels from the bathroom and removed the gluten crumbs from my table :)

The only place I trust for safe gluten free pizza in San Diego! The pizza is delicious, customer service is fantastic and I appreciate their dedication to providing 100% gluten free pizza!
Yes
I’m surprised reviews marking this place as safe for celiac‘s. To be fair, Mountain Mike’s has a disclaimer on all of their gluten-free products that states the following: “Please be aware that our gluten-free crust is prepared in a non-gluten free environment. During normal kitchen operations involving shared cooking and preparation areas there is a possibility that our gluten-free crust will come in contact with wheat flour and/or other non-gluten free items. We cannot guarantee that any menu item is completely gluten-free. Customers with gluten sensitivities should therefore exercise judgement in consuming such items.“ I know it’s a common misconception that only celiacs can be highly sensitive but that isn’t true. people who are gluten intolerant and allergic to gluten also have a wide range of intolerances. If I were to ever eat at a place where gluten-free pizza came into contact with wheat flour I would be sick for many many days.
