Most Shake Shack locations offer gluten-free buns for burgers. A lettuce wrap is also an option.
Was delicious but gluten free buns were a little hard also not much ketchup but still fry’s and the patties were delicious

While they have a GF bun for their hamburger and I didn’t have a reaction- the food was bland. The only way we could eat the fries was coated in ketchup to cover the freezer burn. Even the soda was watered down and tasted like poorly flavored bubbly water.

I feel safe here. The burgers are as good as I’ve had, even though they’re thin. I have never had such delicious gluten free buns-no off taste and normal texture. I asked and they’re Italian Bakery brand. Separate fryer for the fries, though they are designated “gluten friendly”. Food was brought out separately and server specifically stated it was gluten free. Staff seemed knowledgeable. I only get burger and fries here so I can’t speak to other items.

I’ve always found them to be really good about allergies here. They seem to take them seriously and I’ve never gotten sick, even when it’s busy! The gf buns are really good. They don’t have a dedicated fryer though.

I used to love coming to this location because you can easily mark your allergens when ordering. Without having to ask - these items would always be brought out on a separate tray to 1. Allow me to know my allergen was taken seriously, and 2. To let me know for sure which gf foods were mine. My first time coming here the workers let me know the gf burgers were made on a separate grill, the fries are in the same fryer. I was ok with this because at least I had burger options. Well, I went again last night and my burger was brought out on the same tray mixed with non-gf burgers. They were only covered with a tiny paper slip around it. Easily contaminated by the tray alone. I was scared to ask if this means the whole cooking process and making sure allergens are taken seriously was stopped. Anyways, I never got the typical glutened feel, however I feel nasty and not myself. Positive I was glutened by cross contaminated burgers. Due to their now careless precautions - I'm not interested in going back or glutening myself. The burgers were greasy and expensive as well. Not worth the price of being hurt.

We went in and I first asked about fries. The host said they were cooked in a dedicated fryer but contained soy (made me nervous since soy is not wheat/gluten). The person taking our order clarified that they are NOT in a dedicated fryer. We ordered a cheeseburger on a gf bun and had no reaction. My daughter enjoyed her burger and we left with full bellies!

Got glutened from a vanilla shake here. Online allergen menu said no gluten or wheat but then saw delivery app said contains wheat? Unclear which is true but I’m sick nonetheless

There are kiosks to place your order on, and the menu has a filter option for certain allergies including gluten so you can see which menu items contain gluten and which ones don't. My kids and I had burgers. They have GF buns for an extra $1.00. Unfortunately the fries aren't gluten free. The burgers were good, and the burger patty was pink in the middle instead of the usual fast food overcooked brown.

They had a gluten free bun and asked if it was allergy or preference so they could take precautions. I had a breakfast sandwich at the airport it was really yummy.
The staff was very knowledgeable and pleasant. They offer gluten-free buns, but unfortunately a burger is about all you can get. The fryer isn’t dedicated, and obviously the milkshakes contain malt. However the burger was delicious!!

They are very knowledgeable about CD. If I don’t get a cashier that is knowledgeable I always ask for a manager. They are very accommodating. They burgers are great and the GF bun tastes great too. The fryer is no a dedicated fryer so I don’t do the French fries. They always get my toppings for my burger from the back. Eaten here around 30 times and never gotten sick.

This is consistently one of my go-to places. I usually order a burger in a lettuce leaf. They have consistently been good about labeling gf ordered and keeping them separate from gluten filled food. I don’t order the fries or shakes due to cross contact risks.

Disappointed. Usually shake shack is something I can rely on having gluten free options but this location doesn’t have a dedicated fryer or gf buns.
I was able to order with no bun which is ok for me as I’m not celiac but still, not the same as a non airport shake shavk

I have been to the shake shack in Miami and had a good gf experience. So I was excited to hear there was one in Tampa now, however it was AWFUL. I got so sick after eating here. I’ve also never had a burger so greasy and dry at the same time.

When we said I have celiacs disease the woman asked what that meant (never a great sign) and we said it meant i cant eat gluten…. Meaning bread. She said they offered lettuce wraps and when we asked about cross contamination she was super rude and said “YA LETTUCE WRAPS THATS WHY WE HAVE THEM!” So we left because she obviously had no idea about the complexities of Celiacs. We were disappointed as we have always had great experiences at Shake Shack with their GF buns. I don’t know if the staff is from the airport or shake shack’s, but I fear that if one staff member isn’t trained, it compromises the whole establishment to cross contamination.

Standard Shake Shack, lettuce wraps available, can't have the mushroom burger because it's fried, but for a basic cheese burger lettuce wrap it's quick and yummy.

Well, when you get a lettuce wrap, the lettuce sticks out of the wrapper and is laid on a nasty tray (has happened both times I’ve ordered one). Also, I watched and they touched my lettuce with the same gloves as the wheat burger buns. Nice to have the fries but seems risky on the lettuce wrap burger. Ordering in the store is hard as I could not see anything referencing GF but I know it’s online.

I have eaten here at this location several times without a reaction. They have an allergen menu online and their app. I have gotten their burger with a gluten free bun (no sauce as it contains wheat) and a strawberry milkshake without any reactions. The fries are not gluten free which I knew not to order because it states that it is cross contaminated on their app. If you go online they have all the information on what is safe and what isn’t. This is one of the few places I trust to eat at without problems.

It’s the shake shack chain, but the service was fantastic. Cashier asked specifically if my wife’s burger was an allergy when she ordered a GF Bun and warned us that the cheese fries weren’t gluten free. My wife had a double stack on a gf bun and black and white and it was just like it was a few years ago. A good place to go for an eat when bear Battery Park.
