Staff didn't know what flavors contain gluten, and didn't even seem to know the word gluten. There was no indication on the menu or other written information available. One of the servers called the manager to ask and were told that the only GF options were sorbet and almond milk ice cream. We're pretty sure they were confusing dairy-free and GF, but we didn't want dairy free ice cream and didn't feel comfortable ordering anything else.

I asked for the Barbie with no topping and he put it on the topping table. I then told him I have a severe gluten allergy and if I could get another scoop. He rolled his eyes and put the EXACT scoop on the table back into the ice cream bin. Not safe at all!

I didn't order anything here because there's zero safety for gluten free handling. While the base ice creams appear gluten free, they use the same scoops to dip all of them. Even if they got a clean scoop, the cross contamination has already happened.

I felt very comfortable eating the sorbet here being both Celiac and dairy free. The person who took my order was helpful and used a fresh tub of ice cream plus new scoopers for my order. I didn’t have any symptoms afterwards either.

My wife and daughter are very sensitive (celiac), and had an exceptionally good experience at Cold Stone Creamery in Mansfield today. I was very concerned about cross contamination before going, but our non-celiac son received a gift card so we decided to try to go as a family. The server was very knowledgeable and careful, washed her hands, put on new gloves after verifying our flavor was GF, took a clean scoop, scooped from a new container, and put our toppings on in a completely separate area from the usual counter. It’s such a relief when you get such great service and staff has been properly trained on what GF needs to be. And the ice cream was as good as I remember it (they have not been since they were diagnosed a decade ago). What a nice treat to know there’s one more option out there! 👏👏

After consulting the nutrition/allergen menu and going to other Coldstones, we went in and confidently ordered for my son and me. The server rudely told us “nothing here is gluten free.” I explained to her we had looked at their website and there were safe items and asked if they had unopened ice cream in the back to serve from so there wasn’t risk of cross contamination. She told me they had “no ice cream frozen” and continued to be rude. I had to explain to her what would make our order celiac safe, and she very grumpily prepared it. I would not visit this location.

Everything is cross contaminated. They use same utensils to grab and mix toppings and same surface to mix them into the ice creams. Also lots of their ice creams contain gluten but they put them all on the same surface.

I was really impressed with the safety precautions taken at this location. All of their sorbets are gluten free, and many ice cream flavors. I asked them to use a clean scooper and before I could say more, the girl in charge started telling the other workers that they need to get fresh ice cream from the back and use new scoopers and mix it in its own plastic tub. My sorbet never touched the shared counter. They were incredibly cautious. Could not have asked them to do a better job. Such a relief to not have to explain it all!

Located beachfront, nothing is better than a nice ice cream on a warm day. Warning, not much direct parking and it fills up quickly, but it’s free. Otherwise, you may have to walk a little. This location is always busy. The employees are very friendly here which makes the whole experience that much better. I tried the banana caramel crunch. You might think it was a bit sweet, but it wasn’t. It was just right. The almonds were super fresh and plentiful. It was a great choice. Thankfully, due to my gluten allergy, the worker made my ice cream in the back and separate from gluten surfaces and gluten itself. Because of this courtesy, I gave them 5 stars for safety and also for taste. Their isn’t anyone this place cannot please. Plenty of gluten free options. Locations may vary on safety protocols. This one is safe.

I grew up coming to Branson and Coldstone was always a highlight of our trip. I was worried I wouldn’t get to join my family in getting ice cream, but we went in and the staff was able to help me super easily. My son really wanted ice cream from here on our mommy and me date night. I thought sure buddy mommy will just sit this one out. I was wrong! Pretty good for Celiac people, although not perfect. When I asked the staff to use a clean scoop, they agreed right away and also offered to mix my ice cream in a separate container so it wasn't on the same "cold stone" as all the other gluten items. I felt good about it and did not get sick, but as with all ice cream places, your ice cream does come out of a shared bucket, so keep that in mind if you are very sensitive

They said they could mix my ice cream in a separate container (not on the shared cold slab), which was good to know. However some of the ice creams themselves contain gluten, like cake batter and oreo filling. I saw some oreo crumbs in the gaps between ice cream bins which was worrisome. And they only rinse the scoopers, which makes me think cross contamination could be an issue unless you ask them to get a fresh one.

There are plenty of gluten free ice creams, but not that many GF toppings I felt safe getting (and that I liked). I also asked whether the sprinkles were GF, and nobody in the store knew, therefore I ended up getting no mix ins just to be safe.

I went with my family one evening. My husband told the guy when I ordered that I was allergic to wheat. He immediately stopped in his tracks. He got a clean ice cream scoop, he mixed my ice cream in a clean bowl, and when I asked for m&ms as my mix-in, he went to the kitchen and got fresh ones cause he said that he didn’t want to use the ones that were out cause they are right next to the graham crackers. I was blown away by how awesomely I was treated here and I didn’t get sick! I have celiac. 😁 Also, their website, which I looked up while in line, tells you which ice creams contain gluten. I got sweet cream.

On 8/16/19, the WONDERFUL crew (sorry, didn't get their names) took FANTASTIC care of me! I'm not picky with flavors, I JUST wanted celiac SAFE ice cream! They delivered & I was able to sit & enjoy some creamy, DELICIOUS ice cream with my (non-celiac) husband! Thank you guys, we'll see you in 2020!

I swung by out of curiosity, I really wanted ice cream. The staff was wonderful and brought out a book that they keep in the back with all the different allergen information. They let me look through at what did and did not contain gluten. Almost all of their ice creams are safe except for the ones that obviously have gluten, like brownie or cake batter.
